~Y/n pov~

"Silvantus Schnauzer." Noelle suggested.

We were trying to decided what to name the anti-magic bird that was hanging around Asta.

I sighed and leaned back into the sofa.

Charmy jumped over and made herself comfortable on my lap.

She grinned as I ruffled her hair.

The short girl was eating as usual, offering me bits of her food.

"I think something else would be better." Vanessa rejected Noelle's suggestion, "Let's see... Like Wine!"

"I will allow you to borrow a single letter from the name of my little sister, the goddess Marie." Gauche said while holding up a picture of his sister, "I will let you take the 'M'. Be grateful."

"Make it something cooler." Magna exclaimed, "Like, let's see... Magnam Fire!"

"Lame." Noelle stated.

"You have no taste, Lady Noe."

Charmy perked up, "Can I fatten that bird up? He looks really yummy."

"Absolutely not!" Noelle huffed.

"Definitely Toritaro." Stated Asta.

He was doing push-ups with Magna on his back and the bird was sat on his head like usual

"No, it's Silvantus Schnauzer." Noelle protested.

"Toritaro!"

They both went back and forth for a few seconds before the bird started repeatedly pecking Asta's head.

Noelle laughed, "You prefer Silvantus Schnauzer, don't you?"

"Magnam Fire!"

"M."

"Wine."

"Why not Nero?" Luck suggested.

The bird raised its wing, in favour of the name.

This bird was weird. The way it acted seemed kind of human.

"What?" Everyone yelled, dejected that the bird didn't like their name.

"See he approves." Luck laughed, "Nero means black."

A portal opened and Yami stepped out, catching our attention.

"All, right. Listen up." He said in a bored tone.

"We're back everyone." Finral stepped through the portal next and it closed behind them.

"What did they want at the castle?" Vanessa asked.

"Mission? Is it a mission?" Luck asked excitedly while punching the air.

"I have an announcement for you all. A new dungeon has been discovered." Yami announced.

Magna got hyped up, "A dungeon!? Are you serious?"

Asta started yelling too before asking, "What the heck is a dungeon?"

"Are you serious? You were surprised and you didn't even know what it is?"

"I just went with the flow." Asta said to the annoyed Magna.

"Listen up. Dungeons are kind of like ancient tombs that contain relics made by the people from back then. Sometimes they have info about powerful ancient magic or super rare magical items." Magna explained.

"But you know.." Luck smirked, "The people back then set insane magical traps in them so that they wouldn't get misused by anyone. They're super dangerous and really fun!"

I was always up for a good fight. Others will be after the dungeon too, right?

"The dungeon popped up near our enemy's border." Yami stated, "The Diamond Kingdom. We need to take care of this mission fast so the Diamond's people won't steal anything. By the way, there have been instances in which someone found a magical item that could change civilisation itself in a dungeon, and someone even learned how to use the ultimate magic there."

"Me! Me!" Asta yelled, waving his hands around, "Please let me go!"

"You can go. The Wizard King actually chose you himself along with Y/n."

"Huh?" Asta was quiet for a few seconds before he started yelling, "The Wizard King?! Why??"

"That's awesome, Asta." Magna slung his arm over Asta's shoulders, "What the heck? Did you bump into the Wizard King somewhere?"

"No, never."

"Noelle, you're also going with him." Yami told her, ignoring Asta.

"Huh?"

"Everything counts as experience." He stated, "Oh and Luck?"

Luck perked up and turned to face him.

"You're the leader. I'm leaving those three to you."

"Really?"

"Yup. You'll lose your touch if you stay cooped up all the time. Make sure you look after the newbies."

"Leave it to me." Luck gave him a closed eye smile.

Finral opened a portal for us.

Charmy gave me a quick hug before jumping off my lap and allowing me to go.

"Stay safe. You better come back." She pouted up at me.

I laughed and patted her head, "Yeah, yeah."

"C'mon." Luck smiled and grabbed my hand, pulling me through the portal.

We were on top of a hill.

"Hmm... This way." Luck led the way.

He swung our hands back and forth playfully as we walked.

I noticed Noelle staring at us with an annoyed expression.

Laughing, I offered my other hand to her.

She grabbed it and huffed, "I'm only holding it so you'll feel better, you big baby."

"Whatever you say." I smirked at her.

"They could've just dropped us off right in front of the dungeon." Noelle complained.

Luck laughed, "Finral's only able to go to places he's been to before. But thankfully, it was still near the dungeon."

He hoped up onto a fallen tree.

I stood beside him and looked down, seeing the entrance to the dungeon.

"There it is." I pointed out.

Noelle's hold on my hand tightened as we walked into the dark passageway.

After a few seconds, this turned into clinging to my arm.

She yelped as something scared her and dropped the lantern.

Luck laughed as he heard Asta stumbling around in the dark.

"This is all your fault, Asta." Noelle decided to blame him.

"How is this my fault?!" Asta yelled, "You're the one who dropped the lantern."

Luck tugged on my hand and pulled me forward with him.

He told me he's really good at sensing mana so that's probably why he knows where to go.

The blonde stopped walking and I almost walking into him.

"Why'd we stop?" Noelle whispered in my ear, no longer yelling at Asta.

"I don't know."

I heard a sliding noise as Luck pressed something.

The whole wall crumbled and a pile of rubble fell to the ground.

It was so weird looking.

There were lakes everywhere, even on the walls and ceiling.

And there was tons of mana here too.

Asta accidentally stepped on a trap but he managed to slice through it.

Luck laughed and praised his power.

The blonde jumped on more of the traps and Asta did his best to avoid them all the cut them up.

Noelle and I watched from the side.

"We're gonna die." Noelle muttered hopelessly.

I smiled nervously and pat her head to try and comfort her.

Luck stood still and closed his eyes.

Was he sensing for mana?

His smile grew wider.

"Lightning creation magic: Holy lightning boots."

He jumped into the air and then looked down at us.

"Something just came up." And then he raced off.

He probably sensed strong mana and went to check it out.

Noelle sighed, "This is just great."

Asta tried to talk to her but she completely ignored him and kept walking.

"Noelle, careful." I told her.

"Huh?" She stopped and I noticed a trap activating.

Noelle was trapped in vines.

Asta immediately ran over to help but ended up getting caught too.

Just as I was about to cast a spell, a gust of wind came down and cut through the vines.

This mana.

I looked up and saw Yuno along with two other people.

"I've repaid my debt, Asta."

He floated down and stood in front of us.

"Yuno, why did you bother saving them?" The dude with glasses asked, "Our only mission is to explore this dungeon... In other words, to quickly reach the treasure chamber buried deep below. We don't have any time to waste on these fools."

"Hey, Yuno. What's the deal with this rude four-eyed dude?" Asta asked rudely.

"He's my senior." Yuno responded.

Asta and the four-eyes senior started arguing.

I noticed the ginger haired girl start talking to Noelle.

"Yuno, it's been a while."

Yuno sent me a small smile and nodded.

I spread my arms and wrapped them around Yuno's waist.

He rested his head on mine and returned the hug.

The black haired boy titled his head slightly and placed a kiss on the top of my head when no one was looking.

He pulled away from the hug when Klaus and Asta had finally stopped arguing.

Somehow it turned into a race.

"Let's go, Yuno." Klaus instructed.

"Okay." Yuno created some wind to carry them.

"Let's go too. We should go after Luck he might be in trouble." I told them.

Asta nodded in agreement.

I raised myself into the air by forming Lightning magic on the bottom of my feet.

"C'mon, Noelle." I told her.

"I can't fly."

I laughed and picked her up.

She blushed and buried her face into my chest.

Asta ran behind us.

We finally found Luck and he was fighting someone.

Asta cut through the smoke that was restraining Luck.

Luck stood back up with a crazy look on his face.

His smile was wide and his pupils were dilated, "He's my prey."

Luck charged forward.

"I'll take care of him myself. I don't need any friends. Just my powers.. otherwise, Mum won't accept me."

My eyes widened at what he said.

"That's selfish. Friends fight together and protect each other. And I'm your friend whether you like it or not." I told Luck as I pushed him out of the way of an attack I knew he couldn't dodge.

We rolled on the floor a bit.

I was panting from the sudden sprint.

Luck stared up at me wide eyed, "Friends?"

His smile turned softer as I got off him and offered him a hand.

Asta jumped up and cut through an attack aimed at us.

"I've already acknowledged you as my friend." Asta yelled at Luck as he cut through the smoke.

My took my hand and stood up.

"Maybe it'll be more fun if we all fought together."

The Diamond Mage surrounded us all in smoke so Luck came up with a plan to defeat him.

The mage had escaped at the last minute and now we were heading to the treasure room.

Luck said he sensed a huge mana presence.

As we got close I sensed it too.

It must be another enemy as I don't recognise it.

We arrived just in time.

I saw a sword coming down on Yuno.

Luckily, Asta got there in time and whacked the sword with his.

The sword shattered as it was made out of magic.

"Hey, pale guy. Hands off!" Asta yelled, "Yuno's my rival."

"Unbelievable and I thought I finally repaid my debt to you."

"Don't you go dying, Yuno." Asta turned and yelled at him.

Yuno smirked, "I wasn't. I was just about to release a super powerful attack."

"Don't lie!"

I noticed Mimosa injured and laid in a cradle of flowers.

She was healing herself.

It's a good thing we showed up in time.

Luck destroyed one of the clones aiming for Klaus.

Klaus realised who he was and annoyed he was saved by a Black Bull.

Or even worse, the Cheery Berserker.

With our help, we managed to quickly take down the mage who used mineral magic.

Klaus restrained Mars with his magic.

"Is this actually going to keep him restrained?" Asta asked.

Klaus sent him an annoyed look, "Of course it is! My magic is not so weak that it'd be broken by someone who's injured."

Luck walked up to the door and touched it, "It's made out of magic."

"Oi, Asta. Cut the door down." I told him.

"How would I cut down this door?" Asta asked.

"It's made out of magic, idiot."

"Oh, right."

Asta sliced the door open.

It was so bright.

There were piles of gold and golden objects everywhere I looked.

"Don't touch anything." Klaus told us and then got annoyed when everyone ignored him and started exploring.

There was a bright green light that blinded me.

I covered my eyes.

It came from Yuno's direction.

I went to stand beside him, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Don't worry about it."

I turned to look at the scroll he was holding.

"It's blank." I stated.

"Yeah but it wasn't before." Yuno frowned in confusion and placed it down.

"Weird."

Klaus came over and scolded Yuno for touching things.

"Is there anything interesting here?" Luck asked.

He was stood on top of one of the piles of gold.

"Everyone, run!" Luck yelled but it was too late.

Mars came bursting through the door with his mineral armour.

He pinned me, Luck, Yuno and Klaus to the wall with his minerals so we couldn't move.

My arms were trapped so I couldn't use my power.

There were flames surrounding Mars and he seemed to be healing himself.

How does he have two different kinds of magic? And ones that are so different too.

It must have something to do with those experiments.

"I'll put that fire out." Noelle yelled.

Mars acted quicker and shot some minerals at her.

The Silva fell to the ground in pain.

I noticed blood.

"Noelle." I yelled trying to get out of the restraints but it was no use.

Mimosa knelt down next to Noelle and started to heal her.

Mars swung towards them but Asta jumped out in time to block the hit.

He had a new sword.

Water came out of it and hit Mars.

Did he just use Noelle's magic?

Did the sword absorb it or something?

Asta kept battling with Mars but he had already taken a lot of hits and was weakened and bleeding.

I saw Mars swing his weapon down at Asta.

There was no way he could dodge that.

I closed my eyes. I couldn't watch him die.

There was a sudden explosion.

I opened my eyes and saw Mars defeated.

Yuno was stood next to him, free from the restraints.

I didn't see or sense him move...

Did he somehow do something?

The building started to crumbled and collapse.

My eyes widened, "We've got to go."

We all quickly broke out of the restraints.

I ran over to Noelle.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly.

She nodded and smiled at me, "Don't worry."

I noticed she had been completely healed but was still weak.

I lifted her into my arms and jumped into Yuno's arc.

Yuno used some wind to pick up Asta and place him on the arc too.

"Save him too." Asta choked out.

He was badly injured and wanted us to save Mars.

No one had anytime to respond as the building started collapsing at an alarming rate.

Yuno quickly set off with Luck telling him the way to the exit.

Luck and Klaus destroyed all the debris falling our way.

Mimosa knelt beside Asta and started healing his injury.

"You didn't have to carry me, silly." Noelle pouted up at me, "But thanks."

I smiled down at her, "It's fine."

Her cheeks turned red as she averted her gaze, "Stop that!"

"Huh? Stop what?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

When we got outside I placed her down and looked over at the unconscious Asta.

A few moments later, Asta sat up.

He really recovered quickly.

Suddenly, Klaus tackled me, Yuno and Asta in a hug saying something about how it was wrong to underestimate us because we were commoners.

Why am I being hugged too? I haven't even said a word to Klaus this whole time.
