Chapter 25

🌷Adithi POV

After a really long flight. We reached the islands. We both were jet-lagged. Karthik has a meeting in the afternoon, followed by an after-party which I will be attending as well. After reaching the suite, Karthik left me to take care of his meetings and all. He introduced me to Claire says she will be there for me if I had anything I need.

"Hey! It's nice meeting you."I greet the 20-22-year-old girl with a smile.

"Hello, Mam please let me know if there is anything."She tells me. I nod at her and go into my room. It's a really costly suite. Karthik's room was beside mine, it also has a common living room. I didn't expect him to go this extravaganza.

I unpack my stuff So I could take a warm bath only to find out I left the dress I bought at home. I was a bit scared if Karthik would get angry." Claire," I called her from my room, within few seconds she came to my room.

"I forgot to pack a dress for tonight's party. Is there any arrangement that can be made?"I ask her.

"Yes, Mam! There are really good stores nearby. Will you tell me your preference?" she asks me. I was relieved by her answer."Make sure it is black in color and suitable for a party ."I tell her.

"Mam give me two hours I will arrange it. Would you like to try the spa downstairs in the meantime?" she asks me.

Why not? I thought."Yeah, I would love that."I tell her. She escorts me to the spa. Where I had the best time of my life. It was as if all the stress from my body was leaving and before I knew it was already time to get ready for the after-party.

🌷Karthik POV

I still can't believe that Adithi loves me. I still can't. We are here together for a business meeting. I left her in the room with Claire. I have been making sure she was alright. Claire told me she is in the spa. I am happy that she is enjoying this trip.

But I still can't get over the fact she loves me. So, does that mean that she forgave me because she loves me? I have a lot of questions. I have carried these questions with me all day during the meeting as well.

I texted Adithi telling her I will come to pick her up and we would go together. She texted me back with an ok so now am standing in the living room waiting for her to come out from her room.

The door opens slowly and Adithi comes out wearing a black halter neck body con dress coming till her knees. She was looking so beautiful in this. She usually always looks beautiful, but now she is stunning.

"Let's go."She asks me with a very cute smile. I nod my head up and down. It's already time for the party. It's an Island party so it was being conducted outdoors. We enter the party and I went to greet Mr. Stephen."Hello."I tell the 50-year-old man approaching me. I shake my hand with him and introduce Adithi as my wife.

"Hello, Mrs.Aurora, it's my pleasure to meet you. Oh my! You look very beautiful."He tells shaking her hand. To which Adithi just nods and doesn't answer much."Do you work Mrs. Aroura ?"He asks her after a few exchanges," Yeah! Am a doctor. I work at My father-in-law's hospital." she tells him. Has she always been this cute? I know I am staring at her. I better stop.

"Oh!Beauty with brains I see."He tells her. I think she is not enjoying the conversation that much."Mr.Stephen if you excuse us we would like to check out the drink section," I tell him." Yes! Karthik, Enjoy the party." he tells us and goes to meet the others.

"He is such a jerk."I hear Adithi exclaim."Why do you think so?"I ask her curiously.

"He is a sexist. Calling a girl beauty with brains! Isn't that so demeaning? Boiling my sense of existence to just my looks. Can't a girl be beautiful and intelligent? I mean every girl is beautiful and intelligent."She tells me. 

Yeah! She is right."Yeah! you are right."I tell her ."You think so?"She asks me."Yeah! I mean as every girl is beautiful and intelligent, I can see why using that term is sexist and bad."I tell her.

"Nice! That's good you understand."She tells me with a very genuine smile. We reach the drink station."I know you are not much interested in meeting others. So, get yourself some drinks we will leave after I meet the rest."I tell her to which she nods and orders a drink for herself.

I make rounds to greet everyone. It took me one and a half hour to greet everyone. After finishing with the last person I go to Mr.Stephen to tell my goodbyes."Come for lunch tomorrow with your wife. You guys can meet our family."He tells me. 

Unfortunately, I can't deny his request cause the deal our company had with him is very beneficial to us. So I say a yes and go back to the drinks section only to find Adithi missing. Where the hell did she go? I start tensing up.

I lost her on the first-"Boo!"I hear someone shout behind me. I turn around horrified to find Adithi laughing. She was laughing like crazy. Then she does the most unimaginable thing, she comes and hugs me. What the- I think but soon I smell alcohol. She is drunk. She is drunk super bad.

"Hi! Hubby, How was talking to others?"She asks me in a very squeaky tone. She calling me hubby made me feel some kind of way.

"Your drunk, let's go from here."I tell her.

"Sure whatever you say."She tells me and walks back to the bar and orders 4 vodkas."What are you doing? No more alcohol for you."I tell moving the glasses away. 

But she starts throwing a tantrum."No! I want to drink! More shots!More shots!"She keeps chanting.

"Ok, only one."I warn her to which she nods her head up and down. She gulps it in one go!"I want more!"She shouts again."No! You had enough. Let's go!"I shout at her.

"You are such a spoilsport. You didn't even tell me I look sexy in this dress."She tells me spreading out her hands and legs. I didn't know what to say.

"Where is this coming from?"I ask her."From my mouth ."She tells.

"Ok! Let's go."I tell holding her hand."NO! I won't come with you!"She shouts on top of her lungs. Everyone turns around looking at me."She is my wife."I tell everyone so they don't jump to the wrong conclusions.

I know there is no use talking to her. I know I am doing the wrong thing by touching her without permission but I have to take her out from her. I back hug her passing my hands around her waist and lifting her up.

As she is really short it isn't much of a problem lifting her."Am so sorry Adithi."I tell her. But she was in no condition to listen. She keeps shaking her legs and her heels are hitting my ankles.

Gosh! It's so painful. We reach the car and I put her down. I open the front door of the car for her to sit. She sits down and lifts her legs to my face."What the hell!"I shout at her.

"Take off my heels, my legs are paining." She says. I think I don't have any chance to mess with her. I take off her heels."Thank you, baby."She tells me. I don't know why my heart skips a beat at her words.

I throw the heels at the back. I come back and sit in the front and I start driving."You are an idiot."She tells me."What?"I ask turning towards her and then back to the road.

"But again you are hot."She tells me."You are drunk!"I exclaim, but I felt nice when she called me hot."But not as hot as Rahul. But I like you better."She tells as if she is analyzing something.

I don't think I can comment anything on that."We reached ."I tell her. I slowly help her get down the car. We reach the lobby only to find out that our rooms were being cleaned and we have to wait in the lobby.

I take Adithi and sit on the couch. Opposite us, there was also a man sitting. Adithi fell asleep while waiting and her dress rose a bit. I turn around but I see the guy ogling at her legs as if they were pieces of meat he could bite anytime. I know how to fix these kinds of problems.

I slowly stand up take out my coat. I take it into my hands and cover that guy's face, and boom, that's how you fix that. He pulls off the coat from his face and with an embarrassed expression he leaves.

After some time I get the news that our rooms have been cleaned. I didn't want Adithi to wake up so I slowly lift her and take her to our suite. I slowly make my way into her room.

I place Adithi on the bed, but she pulls me onto her."Adithi What are you doing?"I ask her raising my voice a bit."Why do you not love me back?"She asks me."I still don't know what am feeling" I tell her. As I was about to move "Kiss me."Adithi speaks. I didn't know what to do and I stand still in this compromising position.
