Mist gulped nerves as her and opal entered the 118 fire station.

"I'm guessing You're the kids shadowing us"

"Yep your captain nash i'm guessing" opal said
"Yes but You can just call me cap or bobby '' cap said looking at opal and mist. "Come with me and meet the team, '' Cap said walking away.

"Got it" opal said happy following. Mist followed quietly

Mist and opal lesson as they were introduced to the rest of the team.

"Your being very quiet" buck said looking at mist

Mist look at the ground "sorry i don't talk alot"

Opal laughed "You're really talkative around me tho" she said looking at mist.
"Because your My friend i'm more comfortable talking to You" mist answers

Buck notices how opal seems to look away when mist calls her a friend.

"I guess You have a point," opal said, looking back at mist.

"Anyway you two understand that this can be mentally taxing right?" Cap ask
"Ya My father is a firefighter he sometimes tells me stuff that happened well he was working" opal answers

"Oh I see what station does your father work at?" Cap ask
"Umm 121 i believe" opal answers.

"Alright" cap said before looking at mist "mist You understand as well right?" cap ask

Mist huff "as long as i'm getting extra crédit i don't care" she answered

The 118 give each other worried looks
"Just know You can lead the program if it gets too much" he said "i also want to make it clear that You Will be only doing Tame stuff" cap add

"Got it" both girl's said
"Now I'm going to go do some paperwork,"  cap said walking away.

" So kids " buck said looking at them "why did You join the program?" Buck ask
" I want to be like My father" opal said happily

"I just joined for the extra crédit i need," mist said.
" So you're failing school?" Hen ask

Opal laugh "she gets better grades than me she has almost all A's"
"No I don't," mist said.
"Yes You do" opal said  smiling at mist.

Chimmy looked at them "anyway opal who's your father?"

"His name is Jasper, his really cool" opal answers. Chimmy smiled "that's Nice" he said. "What does your Mother do?" Chimmy ask

"..she died 10 years ago.." opal said looking away
"Oh i'm sorry" chimmy said
"Don't be" opal responde looking at the ground.

"What about you? What do your parents do?" Chimmy ask
"My dad is a chef. My mom works part time at a daycare" she answered.
"That's Nice" Eddie said.

*At the end of the day*

Mist yawn as Buck walks over to her "your mom still not here?" He ask
"No i guess her doctor appointment is running late" mist answers

Buck don't respond not wanting to prey into someone else's business. Buck look down trying to think of something to Say

"Hello" buck looks up seeing an older woman that looks like mist.
"Oh You must be mist mom" he said

"Yep" mist said smiling. "How did she beehive?" Janice asks, looking at buck.

"Great '' Buck said, a little cut off guard.
"Good" janice said, grading mist shoulder "lets go You" janice said to mist.

"Bye buck" mist sad walking away janice following.

Buck stade quiet something rubbing him the wrong way about janice.

Meanwhile a raven was watching from a tree. It smiled laughing before flying away
