The entire palace slopes and we are all thrown foreward.

"Thrusters are out!" Yondu yelled.

Quill walks away and tries to rewire the mechanics.

"I guess I should be glad I was a skinny kid. Otherwise you would have delivered me to this maniac!" Quill said to Yondu.

"Still reckon that's the reason I kept you around, you idiot?!" Yondu asked.

"That's what you told me, you old doofus!"

"Once I figured out what happened to them other kids, I wasn't gonna just gonna hand you over."

"You said you were gonna eat me!"

"That was being funny!"

"Not to me!"

"You people have issues." Rocket said, while I smiled at their somewhat heartwarming conversation.

Quill and I looked the window to see Ego's creepy skeletal growing in front of us.

"Of course I have issues that's my fricking father!...Thrusters are back up." Quill informed us.

He then thrust the ship foreward and crashes it through Ego and through the window.

"We should be going up!" Yondu yelled.

"We can't. Ego wants to eradicate the universe as we know it. We have to kill him." Quill explained as we plummeted toward the fissure in the earth below us. But it was too small for our ship.

"Rocket!" Quill yelled.

"Got it."

Rocket blast lasers, chipping away pieces of rock, forming an open in the crack, we smash into the opening, and we barley made it through. Quill flew perfectly, twisting through the tunnels. Rocket mans the lasers, blasting pieces out if the way.

"So, we're saving the galaxy again?" Rocket asked.

"I guess." Quill answered.

"Awesome. We'll really be able to jack up our prices if we're two-time-galaxy savers."

"I seriously can't believe that is where your mind goes." Quill replied.

"It was just a random thought, man! I thought we were friends! Of course I care about the planets, and buildings, and all of the animals on the planets."

"And the people." Quill stated.

"Meh."

As Rocket said that Mantis let out a giggle.

"The crabby puppy is so cute he makes me want to die!" Mantis said, which caused me to let out a soft chuckle. Which caused Rocket to glare at me.

"Your suicidal thoughts sadden me, but your wish will likely come true." Drax said.

All of the sudden Yondu's radio crackles. But Yondu ignored it, so I didn't state my thoughts. Then Yondu and Quill began to talk amongst themselves once more.

"So why'd Ego want you here?"

"He needs my genetic connection to the light to help destroy the universe. He tried to teach me how to control the power."

"So could you?"

"A little. I made a ball."

"A ball?"

"I thought as hard as I could, that's all I could come up with."

"You 'thought'?" Yondu asked as Quill nods.

"You think when I make this arrow fly I use my head?"

"What do you use?"

They look at eachother, before we crash into an overhanging piece of rock. And the entire side door ripped off. The laser drill drops into an enormous open space within the planet. We a gather on the side of the ship and gaze at the stunning beauty, lit by Ego's white glow running through it.

"Whoa." I whispered as I looked out.

"There! That's Ego's core!" Mantis said as she pointed at the self chamber below us, and Yondu twist down toward it.

"That ore's thick. Rocket, we're gonna need to use the big laser." Gamora said, Rocket nods and shots the lasers, they all moved through the grooves to combine one big laser.

"We must hurry. It will not take Ego long to find us." Mantis said.

"Keep it still!" Rocket yelled.

Quill steadied the ship as best as he could. Rocket powered up the laser a s holds it tight and shoots it.

"We drip into the center, we kill him." Quill informed us.

Quill holds tight, then Yondu finally noticed the blinking light on his comm. And taps it.

"What is it, Kraglin?"

"Um, remember that Ayesha chick?"

"Yeah, why?" Yondu asked he looked out the window, I glanced out the as well and saw thousands of Sovereign ships swooping down.

"Aw, hell." Yondu said.

"Damn, Sovereign." I growled. Which seemed to surprise Quill.

"Kiana, did you just say 'damn'?"

"Quill, this is not the time-"

"I know, it's just your always calm."

I sighed as I shook my head at the Terran. Quill then pulls away from the envoys, but the Sovereign's start blasting at the ship all at once. I lost my footing and Drax, Gamora and I feel put of the hole on the side of the ship, while Nebula and Groot held onto the floor.

We all fall from far up abd land onto the ground with a thump. I groaned as I grabbed my side and slowly got up, followed by the others. Mantis looks around worried as the chasm begins trembling and the walls begin to mutate.

"He's coming." Mantis said

"Didn't you say you could make him sleep?" Drax asked.

"When he wants! He's too powerful! I can't!"

"You don't have to believe in yourself because I believe in you." Drax said. We all look ahead and see a light form of a giant Ego, as he screams angerily. Mantis crouches down and grabs Ego's core.

"Sleep!" She yelled as she let out a screams as it darkened. The light leaves the rock and it slams infornt of us, splashing dirt on us. Drax, Gamora and I all look at eachother.

"I never thought she'd he able to do it. With as skinny and weak as she appears to be." Drax said.

"I don't know how long I can hold him!"

"You need to, girl. If you don't keep Ego at bay, we all die." Gamora said..

"You can do this, Mantis." I said.

~ with rocket ~

"All right. First you flick this switch,  then this switch. That activates it. And then you push this button, which will give you five minutes to get out of there. Whatever you do don't push this button, because that will set off the bomb immediately, and we'll all be dead. Now repeat back what I just said."

"I am groot."

"Uh huh."

"I am groot."

"That's right."

"I am groot."

"No! That's the button that will kill everyone! Try again."

Groot thinks for a minute.

"I am groot."

Rocket nods.

"I am groot."

Rocket nods again.

"I am groot."

"No! That's exactly what you just said! How is that even possible?! Which button is the button you're supposed to push?! Point to it."

Groot thinks agian. He then points to the button that will kill everyone.

"No!!!"

"Hey you're making him nervous." Quill said. Rocket runs to see, at the end of the hole, a sliver of the outside so Quill peeks in while shooting at envoys.

"Shut up! And give me some tape! Does anyone have any tape out there?! I want to put some tape on over the death button!" Rocket asked.

"I don't have any tape. Let me check." Quill said as he flew off.

"Yo, Yondu, do you have any-ow!- do you have any tape!?"

Quill leaves and asked around more.

"Hey Drax, Mantis, you guys got any tape?"

More blasting is heard.

"Gamora! You have any tape?"

Quill grunts as he flies off.

"Hey, Kiana! You got any tape!?"

Grunting can be heard.

"No." She answered as she shoot at more ships.

Quill sighed as he went to the last person.

"Nebula! You got tape!?"

Quill then appears at the hole.

"No one had any tape."

"Not a single person had tape?"

"You have priceless batteries and an atomic bomb in your bag! If anyone had tape it would be you!"

"That's exactly my point! I have to do everything!"

"Dude, you're wasting time!"

Rocket turned around to see Groot who was already  running towards the hole with the bomb.

"Wheeeee!" He yelled as he jumped down the hole.

"We're all gonna die."

~ Back with Kiana and Gamora ~

Gamora and I watch as the entire laser drill explodes. My face goes in pain as I stepped foreward.

"Peter?" I whispered as I looked up. Gamora walked over to me and placed a hand on my shoulder. We look up and see a tiny body flying the ship-it was Nebula, who lands across from us on her feet. We look over at her worried, Nebula gives us what looked like a small smile. She then looks up, and we follow her gaze, my eyes widened as I saw Quill flying from the explosion with his areo-rig. And Yondu was holding onto his arrow with one arm while Quill snickered.

"What?"

"You look like Mary Poppins."

"Is he cool?"

Quill only smiles.

"Yeah. He's cool."

"I'm Mary Poppins, y'all!"

Quill and Yondu then land besides Nebula. I see Quill and march towards him. I stood by his side as we all looked up (and might I say that it was super cool!). All of the sudden a huge chunk of spaceship flies in from the side, knocking Mantis down. We all look at her in shock.

"Mantis! Look out!" Drax yelled right after she was hit.

"Oh. Wow." Quill said as Drax walked over to check on her.

"She's just unconscious." He informed us as I sighed and looked up.

What are we going to do know?
