WARNING: THE LAST OTP AND LAST NOTP ARE SPOILERS FOR EVERBLAZE AND NIGHTFALL REPECTIVELY!!!!! SKIP THEM IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN SPOILER FREE!

Get ready to enter the warzone! 

This will be a no spoilers chapter in which I discuss my ships, and you are certainly welcome to support me or argue with me (and everyone else) in the comments. 

1) SOKEEFE

My OTP so don't hate. They would be SO PERFECT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!! Sophitz fans, judge me as you deem fit. They have such good chemistry, their personalities compliment each other so well, they always support each other and push each other, and their relationship arc is soooo much better than Sophie and Fitz's. I'll probably have another chapter on this at some point... no, I don't have an obsession problem. Why do you ask?

2) DIANA

Dex and Biana would be so adorable together and it really breaks my heart that this doesn't show many signs of happening. Biana is from the famous Vacker family, and she's super pretty and popular. Dex was that weird alchemy kid and the product of a bad match. I just feel like it would be so awesome story-wise if they ended up together, and their friendship (which really took off in Neverseen) is just so cute.

3) FINH

Again, I think their contrasting backgrounds would be super sweet. Fitz is, well, Wonderboy and a Vacker to boot. He's an enormously talented Telepath, and he's learning that the "perfect" elvin world needs to change. Linh is also super powerful, but she's an outcast and had to endure a lot of criticism. I feel like their personalities would compliment each other super well, and the fact that they're both powerful makes them a good match.

4) GRANDOR/SIZEL

Sandor and Grizel are sooooo cute. If you don't ship them I don't know what's wrong with you because the entire fandom should get behind this ship.  It adds so much depth to both their characters, and their personalities are awesome together. Not to mention it makes me laugh every time Grizel (or anyone) teases Sandor about their relationship.

5) KORALIE

They might not be able to end up together anymore, so their relationship is the most heartbreaking of all. They were so obviously in love, and Kenric's not-so-subtle puppy dog eyes at Oralie made my heart melt. These are two of the sweetest and selfless characters who I am just going to pretend got a happily every after in some sort of alternate reality.

I would also be okay with WINH (we haven't seen a lot of their relationship, though, so I'm not sold yet) and Tam/Marella (they seem to have some good chemistry, and Marella has shown interest in him), and maaaaaybe Dex/Marella (if I'm being sentimental for the first book) or Jensi and Marella (again, sentimental much?). I would also be fine if Tam, Marella, Jensi, Wylie, and Fitz remained single, or ended up with someone we haven't heard of yet. Right now we don't know how relevant characters like Wylie, Marella, and Jensi will be going forward, so that will influence what I think of their relationships a lot. 

Here are my NOTP's...

1) SOPHITZ

I am going to have to make a separate chapter about everything wrong with this ship, but I'll try and summarize it here: NONONONONONONONONONONONO!!!!!!! My dislike of this ship mostly stems from my obsession with Sokeefe, but there are other reasons to not ship these two. First of all, Sophie originally had a crush on him based on looks, and I would argue that it continued because of his looks and not his personality for a while (he did not play as large of a role as he should of as her friend in the first two books, I think we can all agree on that). They also have developed feelings for other people, which doesn't mean they can't end up together but I think that the fact they both have other extremely strong options undermines any relationship they could have. I am also of the opinion their personalities are too similar, and being Cognates does NOT mean they should end up together (to my knowledge, as well as Della and Livvy's, nothing happened between Quinlin and Alden when they were Cognates...)

2) LEX

I don't get the hype around Dex and Linh, I really don't. I didn't even realize people thought they liked each other or shipped them until I started looking online. I haven't seen anything suggesting they'd be good as anything other than friends or that they like each other, when they so clearly seem to like other people. Their personalities don't make sense for a romantic pairing, or even their abilities if you count that sort of thing. They barely spend any time together, and don't seem to have much chemistry. If you ship them, please explain it to me because I'm not trying to be offensive I'm just deeply confused. Also, their ship name is the name of one of the triplets so comment and let me know if you noticed that as well!

3)TIANA

I realize why people ship this, I just don't like it at all. I think that Biana and Tam would make excellent friends, but nothing more. There have been some hints at Tam being interested in Biana, but I haven't really seen Biana show any interest and no forward progress has been made with their romantic relationship. I think that they would be better matched with other elves in their friend group.

4) SODEX

So if you haven't read the last book I'd look away now..................................................... but we know this ship is dead. I feel badly for Dex, but Sophie never showed any interest. I think Keefe summed it up pretty well in Nightfall when he said Dex's head was telling him "yes" while he knew deep down it would never happen. Hopefully they both end up happy with someone else because I think we all knew it was never going to work out. Sodex shipper, I'm very sorry and admired your dedication, but my inner Sokeefe shipper can't help but think "One down... one to go..."
