CATHRYN'S POV
Thoughts were going through my mind and I couldn't stop it. I could feel breath on my face yet all around me I saw the color white, but lines of black tracing a picture of a place I was yet to know. I was wearing just jeans, a leather jacket, and a crop top that showed my stomach.

"Okay if this is some sick joke congrats you got me!" I yelled out almost feeling like I was going insane.

"Congrats Black you have officially gone insane" I mumbled to myself holding my temple. I was getting one of those migraines again. Oh joy.
I looked up again to see three people sitting on a wooden bench who wasn't there before.

"W-who are you?" I asked bluntly scratching the back of my neck.
One of the figures chuckled.

"You have the same habit that I had when I was your age." Said a man with hazel eyes and circular glasses.

"I'm James, James Potter. I'm Harry's father."

"Okay this is not funny anymore. No one can see the dead!"

"Oh but you can" said the woman with auburn hair and sparkling green eyes. Harry's eyes.

"N-no" I said in a hushed whisper.

Then a woman with golden hair and mixture colored eyes was shaking her hand and chuckling.

"Your as stubborn as I was when I was your age!" The other two nodded and began to chuckle at the thought.

"I-I can speak to the dead? How come I was never able to do this before?" I was so confused at the moment. My breath was uneven and I swear I'm hyperventilating!

"Sweetie listen! You had to have a death experience to be able to have a connection. You had to be part of both parts of the separate worlds." Soothed my, I'm guessing mother.

"So I'm dead?" My voice cracked at the end.

"Not exactly." Said the red head speaking up." You have a decision. You can either carry on to the after-life or go back to your loved ones"

I thought of everything and everyone I could possibly be leaving. It hurt to think about it but I thought of the possibility of actually being with my mother. Those thirteen years of emptiness in my heat that would be finally mended, but then I realized I wouldn't have a beating heart and I would have an even bigger whole in my heart from loosing my best friends, my soon to hopefully meet father, the Weasleys, but most importantly, Harry.

"I-I can't! I'm so sorry Mommy!" I yelped and ran over to her and tried to hug her but I just went right through her and felt air.
I looked at her and she gave a smile that showed her sparkling white teeth.

"We will always be with you." She then lifted her palm and opened her balled up fist and a ring slowly lifted from her hand and stopped only a few inches from her hand. The ring glowed lightly.

"If you wear this ring. Turn it three times on you finger and whisper the name of the person you want to see that's in the past life. Only you will be able to see or hear us. The ring is useless to everyone else who tries. You can speak to anyone, even Godric Gryffindor himself. Use the ring wisely my dear child. Just don't whisper the name of a person that is alive or they will die a painful death." I nodded violently up and down and the ring was dropped into my out stretched palm.

"Now what will it be?" Asked my mother. I looked at the ring in my palm and back at her. My mouth quivered and I said in just a faint whisper.

"Is....this real? All of this? All this crazy nonsense?" My whole body just felt numb and my knees feel weak.

She nodded and gave a watery smile. I looked back down at the ring then up at her.

"I love you. Stay close to me" I whispered.

"Always" said my mother. She blew me a kiss.

"Just think of home, your father, your friends, and most importantly....Harry"

I was stunned when lily said that. I blushed and looked down.
James cleared his throat and began to speak.
"Well since you will be my daughter in law I would like you to know that when you are doing it, do it after marriage Kay?"

When he said that my face went beet red and I was wide eyed.

"James Leslie Potter!" Said my mother in up most disgust, whacking him on the back side of the head.

I stopped being embarrassed and looked at James in a 'what' look.

"Leslie? Really? Are you Serious?" I asked in a 'really' voice.

"First off, no I'm James not Sirius." I rolled my eyes at his joke, so corny, now I know where I got my cockiness from. Thanks mom!" And second, that happens to be my grandfathers name!" James said in taunting anger.

"Still" I said shrugging my shoulders, not even caring about his fake irritation.

James sighed and hung his head in defeat.
"You win kid! I surrender! I'll send money to you later Sarah."

"You better!" Said my mom crossing her arms.
"Huh? Why wasn't I told about this, or allowed into the bet?" Asked Lily confused.
"Because you hate gambling and you whack me on the back of the head every time I make one." Said James in a matter of fact voice.
Hold up, what the fudge is going on here?
"Um may I a-"

"I kind of wonder why you do this kind of stuff Sarah, I mean, your not setting a good example for Cathryn..." Began Lily but was cut off by my mom.

"Oh what do you know of maturity?! You left your child too!"

"Ladies, maybe you both should just calm do-"

"NO!!!!" Yelled both Lily and my mom and James didn't speak for the rest of the argument.

"Um, I'll see you guys, um, later?" I asked more than said really and James only held the bridge of his nose and squeezed his eyes shut.

"Yeah, they're not stopping anytime soon, go ahead kiddo" He sighed and went back to watching the arguement in progress between the two women. One has steam coming out of her ears, while the other had her hair on fire.

I only sighed and chuckled at the two of them.
"Sucks for you Potter!" I hollered over to him and he stuck his tongue out at me.

"Oh just go snog Harry why don't you!" He yelled and that made Lily turn over to him with a mixture of a shocked and angered expression.

"That is your son your talking about!" She spat at him with a little venom in her tone.

"Oh yeah! OH JUST GO SNOG HARRY WHY DONT YOU!!!!! AND TELL HIM I SAID HI!!!!!! There ya happy now?" He asked Lily and she just rolled her eyes at him and the side of her mouth twitched a little.
I giggled under my breath and rolled my eyes.

I heard a small whatever and the fight between the two women started up again.
I only sighed and walked over to a tree. It was an apple tree with one ripe apple hanging from a branch. I got on my tippy toes and stretched my arm and grabbed it. The apple looked golden.

"Just take a bite and think of the main reason why you wanted to go back to the other world!" Hollered James from far away. I nodded and took a deep breath. I concentrated very hard on the Weasley family and now kind they have been to me. I took a bite of the apple, but nothing happened, I was still in the same place and area as before.

'Okay I need something stronger. Oh I'll be able to go to Hogwarts if I go back!' I thought about the wonderful place that Harry, Ron, and Hermione told me about. I thought about the four houses, the Gryffindor common Room, the professors, but most importantly, the kind, clever, gentle headmaster of the school.' I took a bite of the apple, but nothing happened again.

'Common Cath what is the main reason you want to go back!?' I yelled in my head. The apple I was eating was small and I took pretty big bites, so I had only one more chance left.

'Friends? No wouldn't be strong enough, family? Hate my adopted parents, my mothers here, and haven't even met my biological father. This is stupid Merlin! Huh? What the answer? Love?" I said in a sarcastic voice at the last part, but then it hit me. 'Love' that's it!!!!!

'Merlin you are a genius!!!'

'Its what I do...' Said a faint voice in my head. I chose to ignore it, and thought of...everyone, how much I loved him, how much I cared about them, maybe more than others....

This is it. I took a bite out of the apple and swallowed with my eyes closed.
I opened my eyes to see that I was still at the place I was before.

'You have for to be kidding me..." I mumbled under my breath. I heaved and sigh and turned around.

What I saw, made me drop my now core showing apple to the floor. In front of me was an elevator that was fashioned out of Keelo vines(magical vines with magical abilities. I made it up! I'm bad with names) it could transport me anywhere. I wonder if it works like the floo network. Only one way to find out....

I took some floo powder from the ground near the tree and threw it into the fire. Sure enough, it glowed emerald green.
I stepped into the fire and said very clearly.
Wild guess here.

"My body"

Green flames came over me and I so felt a stab of pain. I was laying down and my eyes were closed. Every limb in my body was on fire and I just wanted to scream, but I didn't because I heard a voice from another hall way.

"I'm sorry, but....she didn't make it." Said a sorrowed voice, I'm guessing a doctor.

I heard the screams of No and it can't be from the other room. I also heard sobbing. Someone ran over to my bed and began to sob. My eyes were still closed, but I knew who it was the moment the person sat down. It was Hermione.

"Why?! Why did it have to be you!? It should have been me! You were my first friend that was a girl! I don't know what I'll do with out you!"
She kept sobbing and going hysterical.

I knew that was my cue.

'Common Cathryn just one word! COMMON!!!'

HERMIONE'S POV(Did anyone expect that?)

I was sitting beside Cathryn's body and I still couldn't believe she was dead! My best friend is dead! I just kept sobbing till something happened that almost made me fall out of my seat. Cathryn grabbed my wrist.

"Her....Her..meanie. Her...Her..mione" said Cathryn weakly with her eyes still closed. How was this possible?! The DR. HEINZ told us that her heart stopped beating!!! I'll have to punch him later, but right now I was just so happy to know that Ryni was alive! I was so happy to know she was alive that I started crying tears of joy. I grabbed her and hugged her tightly.

"Can't....breath" said Ryni in a hoarse voice.

I let go of her quickly and gave her a more gentle hug.

"I just can't believe your alive!" I said crying again with joy.

Ryni then lifted her hand and showed me a ring on her finger.

"I talked to my mother Hermione and Harry's parents! She told me I just need to summon her with this ring but I can only see and hear them." Ryni said still with her voice hoarse.

"Try not to talk so much. We don't want your voice to crack now would we." I said smiling like Chesire from Alice and Wonderland.

Cathryn sighed and looked around at her surroundings.

"How long have I been here?" Asked Ryni and I bit my lip.

"Like, a week or so" and Ryni's eyes widened.

"What!" Said Cathryn trying to yell, but her voice came out as a hoarse whisper.

"Well we thought you were going to die! You got a knife right through the stomach, but it looked like it did nothing to you! There wasn't even a cut were it was, just a little place where it was bleeding." I shuttered at the memory of seeing a knife in Cathryn's stomach. I shook it off and looked at Ryni again and saw her looking at the back of Harry's head, who was in the other room probably crying his eyes out.

"I'll be right back..." I said and walked over to Harry.

"Um...Harry?"

"I don't want to see her lifeless corpses Hermione!" Said Harry crying his eyes out.

"Harry....Ryni's alive!!!!" I said with joy in my voice.

Harry looked over at me with anger in his eyes. His eyes were blotchy and red and tears still fell from them.

"That's not funny Hermione!' He spat at me with venom in his voice.

"No I'm dead Serious she's alive!" I was so happy and I was bouncy on my feet.

Harry wiped away the tears and looked at me with hope in his eyes.
"Prove it!" He said with his voice cracking.

I nodded and grabbed his wrist. I pulled him over to Ryni's bed to show him Ryni, who had her eyes open and she gave a small smile when she say us.
Harry was crying again now and just practically lunged at her and hugged her tightly. She hugged him back with a huge smile on her face.
I ship them sooo hard.
I just need to think of a good ship name....
I'll think of one later...

"I missed you so much. I thought you died!" said Harry whimpering and rubbed his head deeper into her neck.

"I'm not going anywhere" said Cathryn quietly.

I smiled warmly at them and made a shape of a heart with my hands and cooed at them.
Ryni just rolled her eyes at me and hugged Harry tighter.

"Well. It looks like I'll be going to Hogwarts after all!" Said Cathryn half laughing.

Harry and I both smiled at her then we heard from the other room.
"HARRY!!!! HERMIONE!!!!! WHY THE BLOODY MERLINS BEARD DID YOU NOT TELL US CAT WAS NOT DEAD!!!!!!!" Yelled Ron obviously pissed.

He stomped over and gave Ryni an old fashioned Weasley hug.

"I missed you sis!" Said Ron shedding a tear.

"Can't....breath!" Said Cat trying to get oxygen.

"Sorry" said Ron and gave her a more gentle hug.

Cathryn only smiled though and hugged him back. That's when Mrs. Weasley came running into the door and saw Cathryn alive. She ran over and Cathryn got another big suffocating hug.

"Can't....breath!" Yelped Cathryn and Mrs. Weasley immediately let go of her.

"Sorry dear! I'm just so happy your alive! Are you Immortal or something?" Asked Mrs. Weasley in one breath. She too was crying. Everyone was crying except Cathryn. Oh yeah. She doesn't cry....

"Well I guess this means you can go to Hogwarts after all!" Said Mrs. Weasley wiping away a few stray tears.

"WHERE IS SHE!!!!!!??!?!!!" Yelled a screeching voice from the other room. That's when Raven came into the room and her hair looked like it was on fire. Steam looked like it would come out of her ears any second.
Just give it a minute...

Raven scanned the room and her eyes landed on Cathryn. She paused and her eyes went wide. She squealed and tried to run over but tripped over her feet and fell on the ground. Ryni and I couldn't help but giggle at her and Raven scoffed.

"Oh shut up you too!"

"No you shut up, stop being dramatic, and give me a hug" said Cathryn in a demanding voice, spreading her arms. Raven had a huge smile on her face and walked over to Cathryn and gave her a gentle hug.

"You were my first real best friend you know. I don't know what I would have done if I lost you" said Raven in her ear.

I playfully scoffed and crossed my arms.
"I am offended."

"Oh hush we were all have a moment!" Said Raven playfully glaring at me.

I then joined in the hug and so did Harry and Ron.

"You excited for Hogwarts guys?"

"We all will now knowing you will be there" said Harry with a bit of pink on his cheeks. I wiggled my eyebrows at him and his cheeks turned even redder. I giggle at him and looked over at Cathryn. Her head was against the pillow and her eyes were closed. She snored softly.

"Hey she snores just like you!" Said Ron pointing at Harry and Harry's eyes widened.

"N-no d-don't hurt them...n-no no don't hurt them!!!!! NO GET AWAY FROM THEM YOU NOSELESS FREAK!!!!! GET AWAY FROM THEM VOLDESHORTS!!!!! I WILL MURDER YOU!!!!!!!!" Cathryn was screaming in her sleep and just began screaming to the top of her lungs.

A healer then came in and put potion in a shot and stuck the need lie in her arm. Cathryn began getting calmer and calmer till she was still.
"The potion makes her have a dreamless sleep. She'll be fine, but her dream sounded more like a vision than a dream. She will only have dreamless sleep for an hour or so. You should let her rest. You can come back later." Everyone nodded except for Harry, Raven, Ron, and me.
"We are not leaving her side!" We all said together and the Healer rolled his eyes.

"Fine, but only one at a time. Each get only fifteen minutes." He said sternly and crossed his arms.
We all looked at each other.

"Fine. I'm thinking of a number one through ten. The one closest to it wins."

"The answer was 7 so Harry will go first. Raven will go second. Ron will go third. And you will go fourth." The healer ushered the three of us out and left only Harry in the room. It was a glass wall so we were able to look inside.
We looked at Harry looking at Cathryn and saying things to her. He was crying and he walked over to a brick wall and punched it hard. I'm sure his hand is broken. He was crying and he kept punching the wall repeatedly. Not even aware of the pain he was causing himself. He looked back over at Cathryn and sat back down. He grasped her hand and began whispering thing for another ten minutes. When he was told to leave, he kissed Cathryn on the forehead and let go of her hand. When he was about to get up, Cathryn grabbed his wrist and mumbled something. Harry shred a tear and sat back down and held her hand again. Cathryn looked like she was relax once again. He cracked a smile and just kept staring at her with love in his eyes. Harry looked over at us and mouthed,

'Please' to us with his face looked desperate.
I looked over at Raven and Ron, who looked at each other and back at me. They nodded. I sighed and mouthed back,

'Go ahead'
He gave us a smile then went back to staring at Cathryn who looked so peaceful.
