~Sunbird's POV~
Shogun, my fighting partner, the warrior who has been by my side, ever he saved me from a Squad, I haven't been able to switch sides... He supported me in many ways and I just admired him for being seriously brave. Since I live up at Sunny Steps and he lives at Lucky Landing, it takes days for us to meet up. But I usually stay at his place since Sunny is just an area I rule over with my brother Mezmer, but since Mezmer has got it in control, he told me to go over to Shogun, I nodded and thanked him with a hug and he gagged "Eww..." I laughed and he smiled and hugged me back. "Take care Sun, be careful, ok?" I nodded and made my way up to Pressure Plant and flew my way to Dusty and walked from there.

After a few hours, the sun was setting and I finally reached my destination and saw Shogun and slowly approached him and gave him a hug from the back. He jolted a bit and relaxed "Sunbird... what are you doing here?" He turned around and looked at me with his intense eyes. I asked "How did you know it was me?" He blushed a bit "By the figure..." I smirked and he shook his head "Why did you leave Sunny?" I replied with "Mez has this gotten everything under control, and he told me to go take a break and visit you." He blushed and looked away "I guess you can join me in my mission." I grinned and nodded and joined him, along with Hime and Musha. We made our way to Polar Peak and faced against my enemy, The Ice King, we fought and I got punched in the face, hard. I got knocked and I could hear Shogun curse at them and went crazy. But I passed out when that happened....

Slowly I gained consciousness and saw a figure and instantly knew it was Shogun, his face was bloody and he sat there. I looked around and saw that we were in a cage. I poked his shoulder and he snapped and I flinched and whispered a bit and he apologized. "Wh-What happened?" "We got defeated, Hime and Musha backed out to get help, and I dealt with them but..." I patted his head "It's alright, I can use my power" I removed my glove and fire cane out of my hand and he stopped me "Don't, it's useless...." I sigh "Not until we try" I tried and tried and nothing worked until we heard whispers. I wore my gloves and sat until a familiar face came. "Musha!" He smiled and broke the door and grabbed our wrists and took us to Hime.

"Yikes, you two look terrible..." I laugh awkwardly and she treated my wounds and same for Shogun. Shotgun stood silent... I was sad... he seemed so, defeated. I walked up to him and hugged him. "Hey, it's alright, we'll defeat them again!" I say with confidence in my voice. He smiles a bit and gets up "Hime, you got our support team?" She nodded and Shogun said "Lets go back again." I shook my head "Y-You crazy?! Not until you rest." I grabbed his arm and pout. He blushed a bit and patted my head "Don't worry, I'll be fine." I shook my head "You're gonna overwork yourself and I don't want that same thing happening again." He stood silent. "S-Sorry Sun..." I hugged him "I care about you ok? Shogun, i don't want you to hurt yourself like you did in the past..." My eyes start to swell up with tears and he instantly forgets about it and wipes my tears "Fine....I won't go, I'll have the support team and those two do it..." Hime and Musha grinned and I smiled. I lifted his mask and slowly kissed him and put it back down, covering my face out of embarrassment. He chuckled "You're sneaky, you know that?" I giggled and said "First to Lucky gets free dinner." I ran and he chased after me "Don't think you're gonna win..." He says grabbing waist and locking his lips with mine. I smiled into the kiss.

Hime sighed and smiled "Those two are meant to be..." Musha nodded.
