Tinkerbell & Big Foot

In the morning I woke to the sound of my phone ringing. Groaning, I opened my eyes to see it on the bedside table. Figuring Aaron must have put it there last night or I did subconsciously.

Swiping it up, I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Good morning Ms Luna."

I paled "Alec. Uh- hi." I sat up shaking my head at how wrong this situation was already. Here I was on the phone to one man, and laying beside another.

"Are you home? I tho-"

"No. No I'm not... I uh- I spent the night out."

Silence sounded before a hard sigh, "Aaron."

"Yeah.." I replied quietly.

"Well I guess that is something. No matter, I will call you later or see you at work."

"Ale-"

"Goodbye Ms Luna." He concluded hanging up before I could say bye.

I pulled the phone away from my ear as the call disconnected. Sighing quietly, I pushed my phone back onto the side when Aaron's lips touched neck.

"Hmm.. Good Morning." He grumbled.

"Morning, you sleep okay?" I asked laying back down with him.

"Yeah, I woke before I woke you. Which is good.." He trailed off.

"And how are you feeling? In yourself?"

He thought about it before smiling, "A whole lot better knowing you're here."

I smiled "You're cute. But seriously? You'll tell me won't you? Even if you think it's just a bad mood? I need to know, I don't want you dealing with this alone."

"I'll be fine, it's nothing to wor-"

"Depression isn't nothing Aaron." I replied sternly.

He sighed looking away "I know but I don't need you walking around on egg shells either, we'll fall apart before we've even got started otherwise."

"I just want to support you, in any way I can.."

He nodded and turned to face me "I know. Hey do you wanna do something today?"

"Like what?"

"Um... Skip town? Head out? You don't have work do you?"

I thought about it before shaking my head "No, no I don't. I swapped with Roxanne, a colleague. So yeah, let's do something."

"So.." He grinned "What would you like to do Ms Clarke?"

***

"Please?" I asked batting my lashes at Aaron as he took in the scene.

"Really?"

"Yeah why not? Don't be a spoil sport." I pouted.

"I suggested skipping town, I took you home to change, ready for this bid escape, and you wanna stay right in Vegas.. Bowling."

"Well you chose if you're gonna whine. You know we can do other things beside bowling."

He chuckled beside me making my eyes narrow "I love it when you get all pouty."

I squeaked in surprise as he spanked my backside as he passed. Throwing him a glare he grinned and headed to the counter to see if we could play.

"Lu? Come on!" He urged as I struggled to sort out the shoes.

"I can't do it with these stupid shoes!" I shot back pulling the lace that seemed to do nothing, the shoes were useless.

Aaron knelt down and lifted my foot up, I sat back letting my head get some oxygen whilst he made short work of the laces and had the shoes tied in no time.

"There." He replied with a smile.

"Yay! Now we can p- Holy cow! You look like a clown! Aaron your feet are huge!" I gasped pushing my foot beside his for size difference.

"That's not all that's big." He whispered making me blush and giggle.

I knew that alright...

"What's your name?" I asked standing at the podium.

"Aaron."

"Boring, I know!" I typed in his name and grinned.

"Big foot.. Because of my feet or cause I'm fuck ugly?" He asked making me frown.

"You're not ugly. I find you incredibly handsome." I replied pinching his face making his lips pout.

"Hmm. Move over then, I get to name you." He replied almost lifting me out the way.

"Let me guess? Casper?" I asked trying my fingers in the bowling bowl holes to find the correct size.

"Nope," He answered before stepping back "There."

I lifted my brow "Tinkerbell?"

He chuckled "It was that or elf." He replied making me swat him playfully.

"I think Tinkerbell suits you. You're small, cute and if anything, you'd be a fairy." He replied tucking my hair behind my ears.

"You've redeemed yourself.. Kinda. Now let me whoop your ass." I grinned up at him.

"As long as I get to whoop yours later." He commented making me laugh.

Once we had our bowling balls set up, we began playing. But after the first 2 rounds, I realised I had picked the wrong person to play against...

Aaron blew off his fingers mockingly as he got another strike.

"Oh come on, that's three in a row!" I pouted.

"Don't be a sore loser Tinks."

"Whatever, you're clearly cheating."

"How?!" He laughed sitting down to drink his drink.

"You.. you have to be. What is it? Magnets?"

"It's your turn... Sore loser."

I narrowed my eyes "Whatever Goodwin."

I turned my attention back to the lane, and lined up. But instead of letting the ball go when I was suppose to, I let it go before sending the ball behind me.

Aaron stopped it quickly but couldn't stop his laughing at my terrified face. "Stop laughing!"

"I- oh I can't!" He laughed harder.

Snatching the ball back, I threw it down the lane not caring if it went in or not. Turns out, it went into the gutter.

"Baby.." He whispered pulling me into his side.

"I hope you fall over your stupidly big feet." I replied sulking.

His chuckle irritated me as he took his shot, however this time he didn't get a strike from his continuous chuckling.

"Ha! Serves you right!" I fired back.

His smile faded as a group of men joined on the opposite lane. Looking back at me, he got a second ball and threw it down.

I watched as he cleared the pins "Another clear through, you're a genius at this game." I replied as he sat beside me.

"Hey." A man spoke making me look over.

I smiled politely "Hi."

"Your go babe." Aaron whispered kissing my cheek.

"I'll show you how it's really done, shall I?" I laughed.

"Make sure you throw it down the lane though yeah?" He teased as I picked up a ball and walked to our lane.

I lined it up before stepping back and giving myself a little run up to throw it. I watched and felt it thud against the lane. The line shining off the bright pink ball as it rolled down the lane and knocked over the pins.

I did it.

I- I did it! I got a strike!

"I got a strike?" I asked myself.

"I got a strike!" I cheered turning to find Aaron out of his seat and squaring up to the guy who said hi.

"Woah! Woah woah!" I shouted rushing back to them. "What's happened?!" I asked.

"We're leaving. Now!" Aaron snapped.

I nodded grabbing my bag instantly. "You want to keep him on a fucking lead, lady! Damn psycho!" The man shouted at me causing Aaron to spin and barrel into me.

"Aaron! Aaron stop!" I shouted pushing him back. "Stop it! There's children." I hissed at him.

His eyes snapped to mine before he blinked a few times looking around. I watched his anger evaporate "I- I need to go home now. Please."

I nodded instantly "Sure, n-no problem. We need to change our shoes first though."

We got our shoes back and went back to the car. Aaron shoved the keys in my hand making me gulp as I looked at his Ford Explorer.

This car was huge.

Taking one look at him, I decided against putting up a struggle and climbed in quickly adjusting the seat and started it up.

Our drive back home was slow, the traffic was horrendous and never seemed to really move. I rubbed Aaron's arm which was across the centre console as he placed his hand on my thigh as soon as we got into the car. I figured it was a comfort thing and left him to it.

Looking over to him now, he was asleep in the seat with his head facing me. A peaceful expression present on his face.

I sighed gently "Oh Mr. Goodwin, what am I going to do with you?"
