Perfect...

"You brought your camera." Aaron pointed making me look down at my chest.

"Yeah.. Is that okay? I kinda never leave home without it."

"That's awesome, but it means tonight I had to take you to some of my favourite places. You know that right?" He asked.

I smiled "That would be great."

"Let's get going then." He smiled taking my hand as we weaved through the crowd. Thankfully he was walking a step ahead and wasn't able to see my face flushed.

"I used to work there as a waiter." Aaron pointed to the Harley Davidson cafe.

"You were a waiter?" I asked.

"Hell yeah, had to put my big hands to some use right?" He laughed.

"So what made you become a paranormal investigator?" I asked.

"My friend needed help, at the time we were tight so I dropped everything and went to his aid."

"You're a good friend."

"He wasn't." He replied, I sensed a tone and dropped the subject as we headed towards a carpark.

"Please tell me this doesn't have elevators?"

He chuckled "You still worried?"

"Yeah, don't tell me you aren't?"

He shook his head "I used the elevator the next day."

My eyes widened "I haven't used one since. I'm such a chicken shit."

"Well this is one of the highest ones in Vegas. The views are amazing so if you trust me.." He lead.

"You're gonna make me go on an elevator aren't you?"

His grin said it all as we entered the car park and called the elevator.

"I've got no food this time, so be prepared. If I get stuck and get hungry. I'll eat you." I joked.

"Sounds good to me."

It took a few attempts before I was officially back in an elevator again and that was only because Aaron had dragged me on not giving me a chance to chicken out again.

This time however the elevator pinged on the right floor and we stepped off onto a roof top.

"Woah." I whispered looking around at the thousands of lights used in Vegas.

"Come on." He grinned pulling me across the rooftop of the carpark and to the corner.

The wind was strong as it tossed up my hair and flicked around wildly. "It's really windy!" I laughed trying to tame it.

Aaron craned his head up at the sky and smiled "The storm is coming in, come on.."

I followed him as he raced over to a car and unlocked it. I guess it was his car then.

Opening the trunk he gave me a side smile before pulling out cameras and tripods.

"Whoa dude how much do you carry?!" I asked.

"Always have a camera." He replied before looking around again.

"Get in." He nodded to the passenger side.

Following his instructions I got in and watched as he jumped in quickly.

"What's goin-"

A large raindrop hit the windscreen.

"Are you like part cat?" I asked giggling.

"Ninja." He corrected before starting his car up and moving it towards the sheltered part of the carpark.

"Right... Now the best part. I couldn't park here earlier someone took up both spaces." He added before getting out.

I joined him and watched as he used the carpark safety rails to attach his camera clamps to before setting up his camera.

"Here." He smiled taking my camera off and placing it on one.

"I guess you know how to do all this from your job?" I asked.

"Sure do. Now...." He clicked a button on my camera and a beep sounded.

"What was that?"

He gave me a dumbstruck look, "You've never tried the time lapsing on this?"

I shook my head "I kind of just click and go."

"Huh... Well be prepared for some awesome shit."

I jumped hearing the loud rumbling of thunder. I almost fell into Aaron through it.

"You're not a fan?" He asked.

"Heck no. Is this even safe right now?" I asked looking at all the metal objects.

"Probably not. But it's still fun right?" He grinned.

As much as I wanted to deny it, his source of fun was actually a warm welcome. I nodded and looked as the clouds began twisting moodily above us.

"This is gonna be a big one." He said getting excited.

I looked around when his hands took my waist making me freeze up. "Do you trust me?"

"Is this where you throw me off the top?" I asked.

He laughed before shaking his head. "No, but before you run..."

I gasped as he lifted me up and put me in the hood of his car. "Stay." He bopped my nose before going into his car and bringing a blanket out.

"There.." He smiled draping it around my shoulders.

"You're cute." I smiled pulling the black microfibre blanket around me.

"I've been told from time to time." He responded making me giggle.

It was simply perfect, sitting on the hood of his car, with a blanket and his company. Accompanied by the sound and smell of the rain whilst the thunder did its best to intimidate us both back into the car.

"I'm no romantic but...." He pointed to the car park ramp which brought us to the top floor to find a car approaching.

"Who's that?" I asked.

My heart melted when I saw the uniform and pizza box.

"I thought I could bring food to us."

"I've never seen a delivery company deliver pizza to a carpark for a date." I giggled.

"Which is why you will remember it!" He called heading over to pay for it.

I watched Aaron laugh with the guy before rushing back. "Almost ruined my perm." He sighed flicking his imaginary hair.

I couldn't stop my laugh which set him off too.

"I present to you... Dinner." He grinned opening the pizza box. He also pulled out two cans of soda and two bottles of water.

"I didn't know which you would prefer. So I ordered both." He shrugged.

"Thank you." I smiled to him before he got on to the hood of his car and we began eating.

*********

This date? Well one word. Perfect.

There was nothing to distract us, nobody to interfere and we actually got to talk as well as laugh with each other.

Aaron had laid back against the windscreen putting his hand behind his head leaving a spot for me at his side.

"Are you cold?" I asked realising I was like a blanket burrito.

"No, I'm okay." He replied playing with my hair gently.

"Okay." I mumbled putting my arm over his waist giving him at least some of the blanket.

I stiffened when the thunder roared but Aaron's hand rubbed my back and soon went back to my hair.

"How often do you do this?" I asked quietly.

"Date? Or come here.?"

"Both."

"I only come here when I notice the weather turning. I didn't realise it would be this bad. As for dating... My love life hasn't been a great one so I can't really say I've brought anyone here."

"Really?" I asked lifting my head up.

"Really. Some women don't understand my job, try to change me or my job for me."

"What? I- it's who you are. How can they want that?" I asked.

He shrugged "Mind you I've had a better go at love than what Zak ever had but he then fell for Maria and well.."

"Are they happy?" I asked intrigued.

"Sickeningly happy. You should see them, I get a little jealous." He admitted.

"Nothing wrong with that, you want it too."

"I was married... Long time ago. Thought I had it all worked out but uh- I brought home evil and it scared her away."

"Do you not resent your job sometimes because of it?" I asked him.

He shook his head "No, things happen for a reason. There's nothing to say that we would have stayed together. People just drift apart, we are friends though, so it's nice to see her happy."

I smiled at him "You're a true gentleman. You know that?"

"Cute. Gentleman, I'm getting good at this dating." He chuckled.

"Well, don't get a swell head but this is the best date I've ever been on." I replied.

"What was your worst?" He asked.

"Cinema. Let's go on a date and sit in silence." I answered rolling my eyes.

"Better cancel those tickets.." He mumbled making my head shoot up.

"I'm kidding!" He joked making me shake my head with a smile.

"No this.. This is perfect Aaron."

He smiled at me before looking over my face slowly.

"Have I got pizza on my fac-"

"No. But I think I know why your parents called you Luna." He answered.

"Why is that?" I asked.

"You have black hair, like the night. Your skin is porcelain white, and your eyes.. You have the most beautifulest eyes I've ever seen." He spoke brushing his thumb across my cheek.

"T-thank you." I stuttered feeling my face heat up, but before I could lower my face his finger lifted my chin up.

"No don't hide them. Not now.." He whispered.

Looking up at his face I gave him a small smile "You're beautiful Luna. That is why you're named after the moon."

His face came close to mine but I twisted my head slight making his stop "Too soon... Sorry." He whispered resting his head on the side of mine, but before he could move back I kissed him instead.

"Not too soon.." I whispered before looking back at his mouth.

"I thoug- God I waited all night to do that." He smiled.

"Then take it back." I encouraged making him smile.

His large hand held my face before guiding me to his mouth. I giggled as we kissed making him pause.

"What?"

"Your scruff tickles.."

He chuckled before pulling me back to his mouth.

We made out on the hood of his car like some teenagers escaping their demanding parents, we had eaten pizza and talked crap all evening. Snuggled and giggled like we had no worries in the world.

But it was perfect, I loved every single second of it and I couldn't help wish the night was longer...
