Building on trust

"You know... I've really enjoyed spending the day with you." I smiled looking at Aaron as he tweaked his cowboy hat.

"Well you're quite welcome little lady." Aaron responded making me giggle.

We'd gone around Bonnie Springs twice, I just couldn't help but love the place, apart from the obvious signs of technology such as our phones and camera, I really felt like we were in Old Nevada. We'd done the petting Zoo and on a few occasions I slipped back letting fans meet Aaron.

"So... does this mean that I get a second date?" He asked hopeful.

"What? You expect more of my time?" I questioned, his face fell before he realised I was kidding.

"Oh you're kidding... phew." He sighed making me grin.

"I say yes to another date! That's if you really want too.." I added.

"Absolutely, I enjoy your company. So... Ready for the last bit?" Aaron asked as we stepped towards the bus.

"Yes, a 100%! I've watched Rambo, so I think I can do this." I nodded confidently.

We got on getting two windows beside each other, I stayed quiet whilst they explained about the zombie shoot. I had noticed as they spoke Aaron had put his hand on the small of my back. Something I took comfort in.

"You okay with shooting theses yeah?" He whispered as they finished up.

"Uh huh. But if I get stuck.. I can ask you?" I guessed. The smile on his face and twinkle in his eye confirmed that question.

"Let's shoot!" He called making the bus cheer around us.

As much as I wanted to do this, I couldn't help watch Aaron as he swung his paint balling gun back and forth hitting each zombie that appeared. My jaw had also fallen at how quick he was, where as I was ridiculously slow, at one stage Aaron even had to position the gun properly.

"How are you so good at this?!" I shouted over the whooshing of the guns.

"It's because I'm amazing!" He called back making me giggle.

I couldn't agree with him more!

By the time we had got around, Aaron was out and I had given up my gun to sit and watch him in amazement. Once he was finished he looked over at me with a grin.

I was about to speak when a few fans noticed him and he was called away for photos and autographs. Slipping off the couch I stood there and watched him interact with a few younger kids who knew him. He pulled stupid faces in almost every photo which had me laughing quietly. He really was a character.

"Sorry, sorry." He apologised once the little crowd dispersed.

"No, never apologise for that. It's cute, you're adorably cute with kids." I smiled.

"Brownie points. Hey uh-- I just noticed the time. I hope you haven't minded being with me all day." He answered as he unlocked his car.

"Absolutely not! It's the best fun I've had since coming to Vegas... If I'm honest Aaron, and I don't want to scare you away but every time I spend time with you, you make me insanely happy."

He smiled "Even in the elevator?"

"You calmed me down." I answered climbing in beside him.

"Yeah, guess I got my uses."

We left Bonnie springs after an action packed day, I felt a little sad to see it shrink in the side mirror but it wasn't just the place, it was the company as well.

Rolling my head on the seat, I looked at Aaron who was driving quietly. His eyes fixed on the road and one hand resting on his knee.

Chewing my lip I reached over and took his hand waiting for some reaction and for him to pull away but he didn't. Happy with his hand being on mine, he opened his fingers letting me interlock our hands properly.

"Your hands are huge." I noted the size difference between mine and his.

"Thanks? But I think your hands are tiny." He laughed.

"They are normal size... I think." I frowned looking at my hands.

"What's that scar?" I asked tracing the scar on the back of his hand with my finger.

"Oh lockdown, I'm real clumsy, always bumping my head, slipping up. Zak's used to it now. I once tripped over, did a side roll, got up and carried on running." He laughed making me giggle.

"Like a stunt man?"

"Hell yeah like a stunt man! It didn't look as cool as I had hoped but I thought it was pretty good." He shrugged.

"Did I say thank you for today? I really enjoyed it."

"You have. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I did too."

"It's the company." We both said in unison "Jinx." We went again before laughing.

I had no idea what the time was but a small yawn came from my body and the need to slump down in the large car seats grew. I wanted to snuggle up and sleep now but I didn't want to be considered rude.

We are in a date after all..

A scratchy feeling touched the back of my hand almost making me pull away until I noticed Aaron had kissed the back of my hand.

"Go to sleep, I'll wake you up nearer to Vegas." He smiled.

"No, I'm okay." I replied looking over at him.

*******

"Luna?" A voice whispered making me grumble before opening my tired eyes to see bright lights.

Las Vegas.

"Sorry." I whispered sitting up to try and remove the sleep from my body.

"It's okay... I uh- I didn't know if you wanted to go home or come back to mine.. Not for any funny business. I'm not like that..." He rambled before falling silent with a slight frown on his face.

Looking around I found we were parked in a car park looking over the strip.

"How long have we been here?" I asked quietly yawning.

"An hour. I didn't want to wake you, you're a cute little sleeper but then I began to worry about your back and if you had work tomorrow." He explained.

I shook my head "No work."

"Okay." He nodded looking at the steering wheel.

"I should probably go home." I added. He tried to cover the disappointment in his face of the date being over.

I guess he had fun too.

"When you said go back to yours..." I trailed.

"I meant like hang out, watch films. I didn't mean sex, cause it's a bit soon for  that right? I me-  God I sound desperate."

"Thanks." I scoffed.

"No! No! No I didn't mean it like that! It's just, I like spending time with you too, you take my mind off things." He answered sheepishly.

"So no sex."

"N-no. Unless you want to cause I totally respect your choice if you didn't want to yet. I'm cool with that." He said looking worried.

"I need to go home." I sighed.

"Okay. That's fine." He smiled.

"To get a change of clothes and that."

A smile filled his face instantly "Sleep over?!"

"Sleepover." I agreed.

Aaron was a man with an ongoing adventure, he had been all places I hadn't been and placed I want to go, like Romania. So as we drove to my place he told him his adventures and I asked questions.

Pulling up outside he walked me to the door and went to go back to the car when I invited him in.

"It's not much.." I mumbled closing the door behind him.

"It's cute, fun size like you." He grinned.

"I won't be a minute, make yourself comfy."

I left him in the lounge and raced to the bedroom finding a small bag and clothes out. Remembering my tooth brush and panties!

Grabbing toiletries I threw them in the bag quickly and rushed back to find Aaron sat at the small table I had looking at my forever growing stack of photos.

"These are really good Lu." He spoke looking up at me.

Lu?

"Thank you." I smiled looking at them, full of colour and life that was Vegas.

"You're too talented to be in a grocery store." He sighed picking up a few.

"Take them, if you want. I just put them all in a draw." I shrugged.

"You have a draw?"

"Yeah.." I answered feeling a little daft.

"I'd like to see that one day, maybe a rainy day? Have a film and photo day?"

I nodded loving the idea already.

"I'm ready." I smiled making Aaron grin and get up. He took a few photos with him and we headed off.

"My house is... Well it's a little different." He warned.

"Okay... Does it have dungeons? Coffins and crypts?" I asked jokingly.

"No Zak had the dungeon." He answered making my smile drop.

"Like an actual dungeon?" I whispered.

"Like a man cave, it had a few dungeon item but nothing too creepy.."

"Causing having a dungeon is totally normal." I laughed.

"We are an odd bunch. But seriously, if at any time you wanna come home, tell me and I'll bring you straight home. I won't be offended or upset. Okay?"

I nodded "What's wrong with your house?" I asked.

"It's haunted.." He answered.

"Figures. Work following you home." I shrugged making him blink.

"You're not? You're not scared?" He asked in shock.

"Oh yeah, I'm apprehensive but you know how to deal with this kind of thing. Right? You won't leave me alone or anything?" I asked.

"Of course not. Maybe to pee once in a while." He chuckled.

"I can handle toilet breaks." I nodded confidently.

I hope I still felt the same when I got there!

******

"So yeah, this is my place." He spoke as we walked to the doorstep.

"Cool guards." I grinned to the storm troopers at either side of his door.

"Kinda shows you what to expect." He answers unlocking the door and letting us in.

I paused seeing the stairs "Are those lightsabers?" I questioned.

"Yeah. Look." He ran over turning them all on creating an illuminated path way.

"That's cool." I grinned as he took my bag and placed it on top of the stairs before coming back to my side.

"Wanna do the tour or just chill out?" He asked.

"Not being rude.. But can we do the tour tomorrow? Gives me something to look forward too beside your awesome company."

"Sure thing. Drink?" He asked ushering me towards what I presumed was the kitchen.

"Yeah, water would be great."

A flick of the lights had me falling in love with the size of it. It was huge, perfect for a man his size. I watched as he effortlessly grabbed a glass from the top shelf and got a bottle of water from the fridge.

He did that so easily, I'd still be jumping to get up on the side.

"This is the kitchen, obviously." He chuckled.

"Woah." I whispered seeing stacks upon stacks of player cards.

"Okay, confession. I'm a complete geek, I love toys and cards." He admitted.

"This is amazing, you have like hundreds!" I said looking at all the different ones lined up. "What do you do with them all?"

"Sell them. eBay. I sell them in full packs sometimes." He answered showing me the larger stack. "I buy like a whole box full and open each pack. Sort them out etc. It's therapeutic after a lockdown."

I nodded "A bit of calmness in the chaos is always good."

"Exactly."

"I'll show you the lounge."

We moved to his lounge, large couches filled the room along with a TV unit, all around the TV were skulls neatly stacked in the cubby holes of the unit.

"That's bad ass." I smiled looking at them all.

"Not weird?"

"No, how is it weird if it's you?" I asked him.

"Some people find it weird." He mumbled.

"Well tell them, I said it's awesome. Imagine watching horror films with blankets. It's cool."

"Well I have a collection of horror films and some blankets..."

"What are we waiting for?!" I sang racing around the couch and taking a seat.

Aaron knelt down opening a draw full of DVDs. "Any preference?"

"Anything as long as it's not paranormal activity or thirteen ghosts. Let's not terrify me before bed."

"Jeepers Creepers?"

"Bingo." I grinned and got comfy as he set it up and grabbed blankets.

Once Aaron was settled, I moved in closer to him and put my head on his shoulder letting him put his arm around me.

"It hasn't started yet." He whispered making me smile.

"Shush. We aren't all fearless like you Mr Goodwin."

*****

"Luna...." He sang quietly waking me up the second time, it was really early in the morning.

We had watched Jeepers creepers 1 & 2 but I had fallen asleep whilst watching the second.

"Come on." He whispered scooping me up off the couch and carrying me up the stairs.

"Now this... This is best." I yawned whilst snuggling into his chest.

I scrunched my eyes tightly at the light before opening them to look around the room. His room was black with black out blinds. He had a white carpet and a large bed that called for me as he set me down gently.

"Ensuite. Wardrobe." He pointed to the doors.

"Okay."

"I'm gonna get your bag and lock down the house."

I nodded happily and rubbed my eyes almost jumping out my skin when he was stood there holding my bag.

"Are you sure you're okay?" He asked, he must have seen my startle.

"Jeepers creepers." I joked before going into my bag.

After finding my toothbrush and paste, a casual look became a rummage and then a tearing apart.

"Shoot!"

"What's up?" Aaron spoke coming in the room.

"Not- okay I was rushing at home and forgot my Pjs.." I mumbled feeling stupid.

"That's cool. Shorts?" He asked.

"Top."

"No I mean, you want shorts too?"

"I- yeah if you have some?"

"Plenty. Might be a little big though."

"I don't mind." I replied with relief. After a few seconds Aaron came back with shorts and top.

"Get yourself ready for bed then, I'll wait out here."

He must have known so was gonna ask where or what he was going to do. I didn't fancy being left alone just yet.

Brushing my teeth and brushing my hair, I pulled on his top before laughing.

"Everything okay?" He called.

"Uh--" I opened the door to show him the shirt was just above my knees.

"I might skip on the shorts, if that's okay with you?" I asked.

"I'm sure I can control myself." He teased as I came out.

"Looks good on." He noted.

"Thanks. It's not my top though."

"They got good taste then." He grinned pulling back the bedding. I hadn't noticed that he had changed until I saw his legs and a different top. Shrugging it off I slipped in and watched as he put his phone on charge, and went to the bathroom.

I prayed for a good nights sleep, that we wouldn't be woke up by some crazy shit. But he was worried and something told me I should be too...

Once Aaron came back I smiled until the light went out and my senses went on high alert.

I almost karate chopped Aaron in the throat when his hand touched my arm. "Sorry, sorry. I'm nervous." I admitted.

"Don't worry, just lay down and try to sleep. I'm right here." He reasoned.

Nodding I laid down but not before moving closer to him and nuzzling into his neck.

Security and safety brought sleep in sooner than I thought. With Aaron's fingers playing with my hair gently and rubbing my earlobe occasionally, I was almost asleep.

The last words I caught from him before sleep took me under were some of the sweetest I have ever heard.

"I'm so glad I met you..."
