"hey!!" ember said running over to nate as soon as he came through the door. she practically jumped on him, somehow he didn't drop their coffee.

he catched her picking her up and carrying her the her kitchen putting the cups down. nate then kissed her cheek as she held onto him.

she missed him like crazy. they barley have gotten to hang out due to football playoffs. they have been practicing now twice a day and it definitely is mentally draining but luckily ember was understanding about it and let him rest after practices.

and then she was busy too with photoshoots and traveling. then she has been hanging out with her girls a lot lately. she felt like she had missed out on a lot those weeks when she was recovering and she never wants to be without her friends that long ever again.

"i missed you.." nate whispered into her ear making her blush like crazy.

"i missed you too." she said kissing his cheek. he put her down, ember grabbed his hand taking him to the living room.

they both sat down and looked at each other for a few minutes, no talking just silence. but the good kind.

nate looked at her, and it was like love every time he always did. he didn't ever think he could meet someone as amazing as ember and he was lucky he did.

she was literally a breathe of fresh air, not to mention her beauty was out of this world.

nate loved how she brought out a completely different side of him. she was literally so sweet. even though he hated his family with a passion unlike maddy... they actually loved ember.

they actually want to have a family dinner soon but nate has yet to tell ember about it. she is actually normal and doesn't want her getting dragged into his weird fucking family.

he would much rather come and have dinner with her and her family, not with his.

ember grabbed nates hand, "what's on your mind?" she asked curiously.

he decided to go on ahead and tell her, "my parents want you to come over a family dinner."

ember smiled, "perfect, when?" she asked excited about it. from what she has seen nates parents were really nice and his older brother was really cool.

"i'm not sure but..." he gently squeezed her hand, "i don't want it to happen if we are being honest." nate admitted making embers smile quickly disappear

"why? are you embarrassed of m-"

"no definitely not. its just that family dinners are already a mess i don't want you to see any of that if you were there." nate said

ember stayed quiet, "but i like them." she said

nate immediately looked at her. "it is all a facade ember trust me. my family is a mess." he quickly sighed rubbing his hands against his face aggressively

"why are you so embarrassed? we all have skeletons is our closets all of us nate." ember stated. she couldn't understand why he was so big on this not happening

"ember i like you a lot okay i don't want my weird family running you away from me. you literally are the only good thing i have in life." nate said with a trembling voice.

his biggest fear was losing ember and he did not want that. he would be sick if she wasn't in his life anymore.

"that would never happen." she assured. "nate look at me." she demanded and he did.

she scooted over, "this is the both of us choosing to communicate and like each other. not about our family or loved ones. besides we all are weird i could care less i promise you that."

nate nodded but it still didn't stop the few tears from falling down his face. ember quickly wiped them away. "come here." she said

he laid down on top of her, his head laying on her stomach comfortably while she played with his hair. this seemed to calm him down and put him to sleep.

hate nate jacobs but love jacob elordi with my whole mf chest. i hope you guys are having a good day with nothing but positive and good vibes ily thank you again for supporting my book <3
