Chapter 11

Onward to the Chunnin Exams!

It's been a few days till it was the day of the Chunnin Exams.

Team 7 outside the building and looking at it. They looked at each other and nodded. Time to show what Team 7 can do.

They walked inside the building and see the flight of stairs. Went up the stairs and notice a group of kids. Being denied to get into the classroom and lots of arguing.

Sasuke and Sakura glance at each other till they kept moving. Naruto stayed back slightly looking at the crowd. It wasn't a lot of people but still gave him a slight twitch. Took a deep breath and look down to followed ahead.

As they got closer they hear commotion at the door.

He did raise his head up he see a teen in a green spandex with a red headband tied around his waist. Bowl cut black hair and big bushy eye brows. On the ground. By his side was a teen girl with brown hair in a two Chinese style buns and brown eyes. Her headband wrapped around her forehead. She was on the ground next to him with a slight bruise on her cheek. Next, to the other boy was another teen boy with long dark brown hair in a loose ponytail with a pair of familiar white eyes with a hint of lavender. His headband wrapped around his forehead with two loose strands falling down around his face.

Rock Lee. Tenten. Neji

Error gritted his teeth and force himself still as the memories kept coming. But the one sticking the most was Neji. Neji death protecting Naruto. When he looked at the two Chunnin, who were just Kotetsu and Izumo just in henge as younger teens, it didn't made it worse. But still felt a pounding in his head. Dammit this is going to suck when he meets the rest! Deep in thought, and keeping his body still, to not realize what Sasuke did next.

"Both of you step aside and let me through." Sasuke glared at the pair and take a few steps up, "And while you're at it, reverse the Genjutsu. We can see through your illusion anyway. We're going to third floor."

Mumbling and whispered around in confusion.

"So, you notice the Genjutsu, huh?" Izumo stared at him with narrowed eyes.

"Go ahead. Tell them, Sakura. I sure you saw it before anyone else." Sasuke looked at her.

"Huh. Oh um yeah of course. I spotted it right away once we got up the floor." Sakura said with a determined look and didn't want to look like a fool.

"You idiots." Naruto muttered to himself and rubbed between his eyes. You know what no. He not going to say anything. Let them figured it out they just now let everyone be in the exam! None of them heard him.

The Genjutsu dropped and reveal number 201. Not 301.

Of course just like before Kotetsu and Sasuke about ready to attack the other. Till Lee got in quickly to stop the pair.

Error glance to see Sasuke and Sakura shocked face on how fast Lee was. Error had to admit Lee good especially as he gets older. He likes how much effort he put in his training. Reminds him of Papyrus in a way.

Kotetsu soon left with Izumo as Lee teammates come up.

"I thought you were the one who keep it a low profile and don't let anyone see our skill level." Neji looked at Lee unamused.

"I know but-"Lee stop and notice Sakura.

"Never mind, it's over. Forget it." Tenten sighs and shakes her head.

Error watches Lee approaches Sakura. Good thing his scarf hid his amused smile of what about to happen.

"My name is Rock Lee. You are Sakura, right?"

"Huh?" Sakura blink in confusion.

"Please, be my girlfriend." Rock Lee smile at her with a wink and thumbs up. "I vow to protect you with my life."

"Defiantly no." Sakura stared wide eye at him

Lee rejected.

"Because you're a weirdo." Sakura twitch at him.

Lee head lower down in rejection.

"At least he better then Chicken Butt." Naruto pointed out.

"Shut up Baka!" Sakura yelled at him.

"Nope and nothing wrong with weird."

"Your one to talk."

"Guilty as charge."

"Are you two done yammering?" Sasuke look at them both and twitch to see Sakura back turned from Naruto. While Naruto was patting Lee back awkwardly.

"A weirdo." Lee grumble

"Nothing wrong with it. If it makes you feel better I'm a bigger weirdo than you." This was how to comfort right?

'You're doing fabulous pile of bones.'

"Sakura, Naruto lets go."

"Yes, Sasuke!"

"Whatever Chicken Butt. See yeah later Rocky."

"Rocky?" Lee blinked in confusion.

"He gets called Rocky while I get Cotton Candy!"

"Would you rather something like Chicken Butt?"

"Hn."

"You know what Cotton Candy good."

They soon walked off and headed to the stair steps. Soon made it to another room.

"Hey you with the attitude. Hold on."

All them stop and turned around. The look up to see Rock Lee on the patio.

"What you want?" Sasuke looked up at him.

"First, off you in the scarf what's your name? I apologize for not asking beforehand." Lee looked at the blonde that confused him a bit.

"Naruto and its okay Rocky. I'm use to being ignored." Naruto wave it off like it was nothing.

Lee frown at that. "Again I apologize."

"Do you need anything else?" Sasuke wanted to leave and just get to the room.

"Yes, there is. I want to fight right here and right now."

"You want to fight me here and now, huh?"

"Yes." Rock Lee jump down and crouch. Till he lift himself up and point at himself. "My name is Rock Lee. You said it was common courtesy to hive his own name first, right? Sasuke Uchiha."

"Hm. So, you know me."

"Chicken Butt you announced your name a few minutes ago. In front of them at those Chunnins and everyone else on that floor. " Naruto said in a deadpanned tone.

Sakura had nothing to say to that.

Sasuke twitch being called out like that and remembering now.

"I challenge you. I want to see it is true on how strong the Uchiha clan is. I figured you will be a good test for me and also." Look at Sakura.

Sakura groans and shivered.

"Oh Sakura." Lee cheeks turn to blushes. "I will show you I'm worthy! Even in my weirdo ways thanks to Naruto!"

Sakura scream.

"I wish you luck Rocky with both of them." Naruto giving him a thumbs up.

"Stop encouraging him Baka!"

"Naw."

Sakura than scream when Lee wink. Somehow from that wink a heart appeared to attack Sakura. She dodge it. Lee kept sending wink hearts at her.

'Kurama how is that possible?' Error blinked as he watches the scene.

'I'm still trying to figure out you. Plus, he and his sensei are just strange.' Kurama shivered.

"You wanted to know more about my clan right." Sasuke finally spoken up. He too was a bit disturb what he just saw. He was quite please to know those fangirls never learn such a trick. The thought made him shudder. He gets in fight position and look at him. "Then ill teach you the hard way."

Lee smirked. "Bring it on."

The fight was just like before. Sasuke ass getting beat up. Sasuke using his Sharigon to help him out. Lee just kept using Taijutsu. Lee about ready to use his forbidden technique to take down Sasuke. Till they were interrupted by a turtle, with a headband around its leg, that appeared. Sakura catches Sasuke before the impact hurts him. Lee bows to the turtle.

Naruto watches as the turtle berated Lee. Lee began to apologize to the turtle. Naruto walks back over to Sasuke and Sakura. Look at Sasuke. Yep, he's fine besides his ego being beaten down.

"Gai-Sensei come out now!"

POOF!

Smoke began to disappear. On top of the turtle shell was a man that look exactly like Rock Lee! Just taller, wearing a Jonin vest, and his eye brows were big! But not big like Lee. Lee began to apologize to the man. No, his sensei!

"Hello everyone! What's shaken! Life treating everyone good?"

Sasuke stared wide eyed. Sakura horrified as there now two of them. Naruto eyes widen a bit.

Gai Sensi.

Error was so happy his shock took over to not feel the headache. Yet he should have been prepared what was about to happen soon. He saw it before.

"Lee time for your punishment!" Jumps forward and sucker punch his in the face.

"AHHHHHH!" Lee yells as the force throws him far away.

Sasuke gap. Sakura scream again what she seeing. Naruto eyes widen bigger.

Gai approaches the groaning Lee and knees on one leg. "Im sorry Lee but it's for your own good."

"G-Gai Sensei...."

Somehow a scene was set for them to see. Look like tropical island sunset. The sun shining out to the sensei and student. Both who were now crying!

'Kurama-'

'I stop asking! Look away Pile of Bones!'

"Oh Lee."

"Oh Gai-Sensei, I am so sorry!"

"It's alright Lee! You don't need to say anything else!"

"Gai-Sense!"

"Lee!"

"Gai-Sensei!"

"Lee!"

The two hugged it out while still crying.

"How I lose to someone like him?" Sasuke asked himself both disturbed and weirded out.

Sakura twitching and weirded out extra unlike before.

Naruto was frozen still and deep in thought. Would Blue survive with these two? Or join in this madness?

"So, tell me how is Kakashi-Sensei?" Gai-Sensei look at them.

"You know our sensei?" Sasuke asked

"Do I know Kakashi?" He chuckles and rub his chin. "He and I are archrivals for all eternity."

"What!" Sakura yelled.

"Correct! My records is 50 wins and 49 losses. Which is one better than his by the way." Gai Sensei smile down at them. "But now enough about me. All of you should be heading to the class room. Lee go back to meet with the others"

"Yes, Gai-Sensei!" Lee declared as he wrapped his hands back with the wrappings.

Soon Gai-Sensei and the Turtle were gone.

"Hey Sasuke."

Sasuke glance at Lee.

"I haven't been totally honest with you. I did wanted to test my skills. But you're not the true opponent I wanted to fight against. Its actually someone on my team who is top ninja. I came here to defeat him. You were the practice but now you are the target. I will crush you. Considered yourself warned." Lee leaps back up to the second floor and heads off.

Sakura looked at Sasuke who was shaking and growling. He clenched his fist up. "Oh Sasuke."

"Let's go Chicken Butt learned his lesson." Naruto began to walk off.

"Naruto that was uncalled for-"

"Sasuke didn't have to fight him. He could have denied the challenge. We are here for the exams. Exams that has other teams we don't know of now. Now one team knows Sasuke can use the Sharingon and what his own Taijutsu like." Naruto glance over and not impressed from Sasuke look. "You lost. Lee been training harder and longer. You can take this lost and learn how you messed up to be ready next time. Take it from someone who lost a lot."

Sakura open and close her mouth. Have nothing to say.

Sasuke stop and looked down a bit. Then chuckles a bit. "This Exam keeps getting interesting and surprising me. First, Haku and I thought I got better. Till Bushy brows beat me. I won't make the same mistake like before."

Sakura stared in awe.

Naruto was a bit pleased from the reaction.

"Let's show them what we can really do. Naruto! Sakura!"

"Yes, Sasuke!"

"You got it Chicken Butt."

Sasuke let it slide with no comment or glare this time.

Team 7 heads up the stairs and see the sign for room 301. They notice Kakashi was at the front of the door.

"Glad you all came. Especially you Sakura. For, your sake and the others. If you haven't your teammates wouldn't been able to take the exam. Even after telling you it was a decision or not. It was test for the whole team together." Kakashi looked at the group to see if he scared or worried them.

Sakura look worried as she was the reason for almost not letting the other two be able to be part of them team.

Sasuke was slightly annoyed it was another test.

"Cyclopes can we go in now." Naruto asked and just stared at him.

"I will get a reaction out of you one day." Kakashi stared at him.

"Keep dreaming Cyclopes."

Kakashi stared and chuckles as he stepped out of the way. "Good luck you three."

"Don't be too bored without us." Naruto walk passed him with the other two.

Kakashi shakes his head as he watches the three enter the classroom. He believes in them.

Team 7 were inside the exam room. There were a lot of Ninjas. Either from their village or from the other villages that came to take the exam. A lot of them looked a bit scary looking or glaring at their direction.

"W-woah." Sakura stunned seeing so many of them many.

Sasuke glared back at anyone who looked at them.

Naruto wanted to laugh. This wasn't even close to scary at all! Nightmare would be ashamed of the looks thrown.

"Sasuke there you are!"

Naruto and Sakura turned to see Ino jumped on Sasuke back. The girl grinned and hugging him. Sasuke twitching.

"Boy, I miss you so much! Aww there those brooding good looks I missed so much." Ino said happily.

"Ino-Pig back off he is mine!" Sakura growled and look at her,

"Well, well they actually let miss-forehead in the room?" Ino gets off Sasuke and approach Sakura.

"Look who talking porker!"

"They let you in here too. Jeez this is going to be such a drag." Shikamaru approaches with Choji following behind eating a bag of chips.

"Come now Shikimaru it won't be bad now. Since we're all here back together again."

They turn and see Kiba with his dog Akamru, Hinata and Shino.

"You guys too huh." Shikamaru sighs.

"Yep. Here we are all. The rookie nine. This will be fun. Well at least for those who can make the cut. Right Sasuke?" Kiba smirked at the Uchiha.

"Kiba, careful you don't get overconfident." Sasuke smirked back at him.

"Just wait were going to blow you guys away. Isn't that right team." Kiba turned around.

Hinata and Shino not behind him anymore. They were with Naruto. The three distaining themselves slightly from the others.

"GAH! SHINO! HINATA COME ON!" Kiba yelled at them while Akamru barked. "WHY YOU LIKE BEING WITH THE DEAD LAST!"

"Friend." Shino simple reply.

"Oh come on!"

"Hey, you guys. You might want to try and keeping it down a little." An older teen walking up to them. He had gray hair in a ponytail and pair of glasses. A friendly smile on his face.

Kabuto.

Error move back slightly and lean against the wall. Press his forehead against the wall. To stop the headache but also to not reach out to kill the bastered.

"Naruto?" Hinata looked at Nartuo with a worried look. Shino glance at him.

"I'm fine." Naruto mumbled to himself and lift the scarf up a bit.

"I wouldn't go making a spectacle of yourselves. This isn't a class field trip for kids."

"Well who are you anyway?" Ino demanded.

"I'm Kabuto Yakushi. I would look around if I were you."

Everyone, besides Naruto, look around to see many annoyed looks and glares being sent at them.

"This exam makes everyone tense and nervous. So, you don't want to rub anyone here the wrong way right now." Then Kabuto smile. "But it can't be help. You are all just rookies after all .Reminds me of myself when I first started."

"This isn't your first time taking the exam?" Sakura asked.

"This is now my seventh time taking."

All of them began to feel a bit anxious now.

"But hey now I don't mind helping you all out a bit." Kabuto soon pulled out cards. "With my Ninja info Cards."

"What the heck are those?"

"They are what they sound like." Naruto mumbled to himself.

"These card have been chakra encoded with everything that I have learned the past four years." Place a stack down and lift a card up to show it blank. "Only blank so no one else will see the intel. Until I use my chakra to reveal it."

Kabuto shows them and soon a map revealed itself. Kabuto began to explain the importace of the exams, the amount of ninjas that are enter. Along with the balance of power for all villages to take the exam at the same time. To foster friendships with other nations.

"Can those cards show individual candidates in the exams now." Sasuke asked.

"You have someone in mind?"

"I might."

"Just give me name and enough description about them." Kabuto pulled up a card.

"Gaara of the Desert. Rock Lee of the Leaf Village."

"Alright let's see." Kabuto gets to work.

Naruto glance to the crowd a bit. He found those annoying Sound Nins easily and being the only ones. Spots Lee and his group. Then he spotted Gaara group. He look at them till he sees Gaara staring at him.

'Furball.'

'Yes?'

'If we fix the seal in time. You think he and your brother will be able to merge...So, he won't die later on.' Error was going to make it doesn't happen. But he is concern of what if the Akatsuki able to get a hold of him like before. Seeing die wasn't a pleasant experience. Even not knowing him personally he was important to Naruto. 'Along with the others if we can find them in time.'

'It's possible. Our situation is different though. Let me think if over and see. You focus on what happening now.'

Error nods and looks away. He sees Kabuto finished now.

"Here is Rock Lee. He a year older than all over you. Mission experience: 20 D ranks and 11 C ranks. His Sensei is Gai. In the last year his taijutsu has rapidly improved. But his other skills seem a bit shaky. Hmm he chose not to participate in the Chunnin Exam last year. His teammates is Tenten and Neji Hyuga."

Naruto glance and see Hinata shaken slightly. She gripped her own scarf a bit. He reach out to pat his shoulder in reassurance. She relaxed a bit.

"Now here is Gaara of the Dessert. Mission experience: 8 C ranks and wow 1 B rank as a Genin. Hmm now a lot of information on this guy. Besides this. He survived every mission without getting a scratch on him."

That shock many of them.

"A lot of the villages sent in a lot of skilled ninjas for this exam. But the Hidden Sound Village is small and new. They are a mystery." He look at them all and smile a bit. "We all defiantly got our working cut out for all of us this year."

Error glance and see the Sound Nins like before rushing over to attack Kabuto. He hopes bandage man gauntlet attack hurts worse for Kabuto this time. Watches as the mummy guy, the boy with the Mohawk style hair with those metal gauntlet hair and finally he girl with bells at the of her black hair charge. Watch as they charge at Kabuto.

Kabuto like before didn't seem hurt till his glasses crack and began to throw up. Sakura and Ino by his side in worry. The others wondering how Kabuto got hurt when he dodged the mummy punch.

"There something you can add to your ninja cards!" The boy wit the gauntlets smirked.

POOFED

Everyone turned to look as the smoke dissaapred. Upfront too see a huge man in a black trench coat, scars over his face and bandana with the forehead in the middle. Behind him were many other Leaf Village shinobis.

Error held back a groan of the attack of the memory headaches.

"All right you baby face degenerates. Pipe down and listen up. It's time to begin. I'm Ibiki Marino, your proctor. And from this moment, your worst enemy." Ibiki smirked.

Once Ibiki gave the Sound Nins a warning. He told everyone to come up bring their paper, were going to give a number where they will be seated. Then the written test will start next.

"Wait he said a written test." Sakura looked at Sasuke.

"Yes?" Sakura looked at here.

"Naruto sucks at test."

Sasuke eyes widen and snapped at Naruto direction. A glare sent through his head to not mess this up.

Naruto not looking at them but thinking.

Where can I get a trench coat like Ibiki?
