ii. morality
is there a field?
a field of rightness
that encompasses our form
and helps us choose
between right and wrong?
it attracts the point
the arrow of the mind
and one leaves it all behind
to follow the inward tide
it's in there somewhere
the sense that's there
must be things you must not do
reason founded on the same
unseen clue
that there's morality of actions
like the direction
of winds that blew
the poles stays firm
beneath the layers of opinion
your gut begins to churn
that feeling of rightness
within the hearth
of your being
it's like being
slowly edged towards
something more
it guides us all
yet it seems to be something
some choose to ignore
are there really field lines
tracing metaphysical skies
creating ties, or making lies
and directing our hearts
to do what's "right"?
could we ever tell?
observe an uninfluenced soul?
there'd be no humane way
of reaching such a goal.
so we can't know
that understanding
is a firmly closed door
we can only cling and
submit to it forevermore (?)

a/n: yeehaw i remembered to upload lol :> this one was a bit shorter than the first, but I think morality and the weight it has in terms of artificial intelligence and decision-making is heavy in itself. I still wonder where it comes from, or if it even can exist without having the two ends of the spectrum, right and wrong.
