Reyna

Once we got through the portal, a lush blue and green planet was seen on the other end.

"What is that?" Hazel asked.

"A planet, duh!" Leo said, rolling his eyes.

"I get that Leo." Hazel cautiously looked over at me. "Are we going on that planet?"

"The... what are we gonna call that thing? I know I threw out two names, but I want a consensus." Annabeth asked, scratching the brown hair on the wig she was wearing.

"Wormhole?" I suggested.

"The wormhole led us here for a reason." She said, her eyes narrowing at the planet. "I say we land and investigate what's going on."

"All in agreement?" Percy asked. Everyone in the room stayed silent, unsure of what to do. Perch rolled his eyes. "This is where you raise your hands."

Everyone on board raised their hands and Percy nodded to Leo. "Take us down."

Leo nodded and slowly took the lion down to the planet's surface and after we got through the atmosphere, the lion took control on its own and started flying towards the giant castle in front of us.

"Woah... okay... giant castle." Nico said uneasily.

"Looks deserted." Frank noticed, gripping the back of Leo's chair. The lion paused outside the castle as a light seemed to scan the lion, then opened up big bay doors and the lion flew in. "Think anyone's home?"

"Someone has to be." Jason said, a little uneasy. "Otherwise, we wouldn't have gotten inside."

The lion landed as it opened up the bay doors. Annabeth and Percy led the charge, Jason going to join them before I grabbed his arm. "Jason, hang back for a bit."

"Why?"

"I wanna talk to you about something. Alone."

"Sounds serious."

"I wouldn't call it that exactly, but I also would. It's complicated."

Jason looked at Nico, who seemed like he was hesitating on leaving us alone. "Go on Nico. We'll be right behind you guys."

Nico nodded and walked out the door. Once we were sure he was gone, Jason and I walked into the elevator and walked behind the rest of the group, close enough to keep an eye on them, but far enough so they couldn't hear our conversation.

"So what's going on?" Jason asked.

"You know, right?"

"Know... what exactly?" Jason looked like a deer in headlights. He totally knows.

"That Olly is actually a girl named Annabeth Chase."

Jason's eyes got so wide they looked like they would pop out of his head. "I know how I know that, but how do you know that!?"

"Let's just say that I'm the reason Annabeth got suspended from Garrison."

"Suspended!?" Jason hissed. "How in the world did-"

"It's not my place to say, since she made the decision all by herself, but I put the idea into her head." I laughed nervously as Jason casted down an evil glare. "Don't give me that look! We were both going crazy that week after they announced that you, Percy, Magnus, and Commander Chase were 'dead'. What Annabeth did, she did to find out the truth: what really happened to you guys out there."

"She got suspended... because of us?" Jason asked.

"More like she found out too much, but yes." I said, shaking my head. "After that, since it was the summer, I never returned, but Annabeth decided to stay under a fake name and gender to be a spy and make sure they didn't try to cover anything else up."

"A spy? Her?" Jason looked forwards the front of the group where Annabeth and Percy were leading the charge, awed. "I thought that Garrison had technology to keep situations like this from happening."

"Well, you've seen how smart Annabeth is. She hacked into that technology and figured out how to bypass that stuff."

"I just don't understand why she'd do that." Jason said, confused.

"Well, you know that old saying: people do crazy things when they're in love."

"By that logic, does that mean you're in love with me?"

"Calm down Jason." I laughed a little, trying to think of a way to explain our relationship. "To me, not only are you my best friend, but you're also that one friend who is basically the parent of the group."

"Am not!"

"You totally are." Nico chimed in, he and Hazel falling back with us as Frank and Leo started talking with Percy and Annabeth. "You're our Space Dad."

"I second that." Hazel said cheerfully. "Also, Olly's a girl? Who knew?"

"I'm ashamed I didn't figure it out sooner. At least now I know why she never wanted to go swimming with the rest of us..." Nico said, shaking his head.

"Wait... you heard all that?" Jason asked.

"Yeah. I have very good hearing." Hazel said, smirking slyly.

"Curse you Bat Ears!" I said, biting my lip.

"Look, we won't say a word until Annabeth decides to, promise." Nico said honestly. "I respect her privacy. Obviously, she has her reasons for not telling us sooner. We're gonna respect that and wait until she comes out."

"Agreed." Hazel said, turning her head as Percy turned around to us, as if scared of what Percy had heard.

"Hey guys... I think we're reaching the center of the castle... area... place we're in." Percy said as we walked into a foyer where different circles on the floor. In the center was some kind of dias, and glass tables which were in front of it. A huge crystal hung from the ceiling, and a giant scanner scanned our bodies.

"What is happening?" Frank asked cautiously and trying to take a step back.

"Calm down. It's just scanning our biosignitures." Annabeth said, rolling her eyes.

"Meaning?"

"It's making sure we aren't dead or enemies." Percy translated as one of the circles on the ground opened up and a tube came out. Almost immediately, Percy took a quick fighting stance, his arm pulled back like he was about to punch someone, while Annabeth took a similar position, pulling out a small Swiss Army knife and putting her thumb over it like she was about to flip the blade out. Once the two realized a person was in the tube, Percy and Annabeth eased up, Annabeth putting the knife back in her pocket. Once the pod opened, a tan girl with dark brown hair with little braids braided into her hair started to fall out of the tube. Jason ran forward and caught her before she fell out, the girl laying in Jason's arms.

"Where..." She asked wearily. "Where am I?"

"Currently, you are in my arms in some weird castle place."

Her eyes opened up a little, revealing that her eyes didn't stay at one color: they kept changing like a kaleidoscope. "Your ears..."

"What about them?" Jason asked as the girl standed up.

"They're round, like mine." The girl moved her hair behind her ear to reveal that they were round too. "I've never seen anyone else with round ears before."

Another girl, this one with hair the color of caramel and way lighter skin, came out next, but she was more spritely than the first girl and attacked closest person to her, being Leo. Her ears, unlike the first girl's, were pointy. "Who are you and what do you want!?"

"Calypso, calm down!" The first girl said, jumping out of Jason's arms and running to the first girl. "I think they're friendly!"

"Oh? And what makes you say that?"

"Do they look like Galra?" The first girl asked gently.

Another tube opened up and this time, a blonde haired boy fell out of the tube and instantly sprang into action. "Piper, Princess Calypso, are you okay?"

"We're fine Will." The second girl, Calypso, said walking over to the main dias. "How long have we been asleep?"

"Asleep?" Nico whispered to me.

Calypso pulled up a time table and looked at the date. All three of the newcommer's faces dropped. "10,000 decaphebes!?"

"Um... who are you guys?" Annabeth asked, quietly raising her hand.

"Oh, right." Calypso said, bowing slightly. "I'm Princess Calypso of Ogygia. This is the son of my father's royal advisor, Will Solace, and my cousin Piper McLean. We are from a race called Ogygians."

"Well... I'm only half Ogygian." Piper said, smiling at Jason shyly. "My father was human. That's why my ears aren't pointy like theirs."

"Now what are you all doing here?" Will asked suspiciously. He glanced over at Nico, and I could practically hear Nico's breathing hitch. Hazel apparently heard it too as she casted me a glance to make sure I heard it too.

"I'm Reyna, and we have no idea." I said, waving my hand. "We just flew here in an orange lion after hearing Jason and Percy over there," Jason and Percy raised their hands as Piper waved back. Clearly, Piper was the friendly one in this group. "Raving about something called Voltron after they escaped being held as Galra prisoners for a year."

"Oh no... the Galra are back!" Will said, then looked around. "Were we the only three in the healing pods?"

"I think they killed everyone else." Calypso said darkly.

"Who?" Annabeth asked sympathetically.

"The Galra." Piper explained. "About 10,000 decaphebes ago-"

"What the heck is a decaphebe?" Hazel asked.

"You guys are humans too, correct?"

"Yeah..."

"Well, some of us are half human, but yes. We have human DNA in our bloodstream." Percy said, rolling his eyes.

Piper giggled before she continued. "A decaphebe is the equivalent to a human year." Piper explained, walking over to one of the giant windows and looking as if she was missing someone or something. I couldn't tell which. "Anyway, the Galra attacked Ogygia because we had possession of Voltron. King Atlas, Calypso's father, spread the nine lions to the far reaches of the galaxy to keep them out of Galra hands, then I guess he put us three into a deep sleep until the lions returned. We might be the last three Ogygians left."

"Oh. I'm sorry." Annabeth said.

"Don't be." Calypso looked over at Jason. "Now, you and Percy was it? You two were taken by the Galra?"

"Yeah." Percy said, pointing to Jason's gold plated arm. "We were on a mission on Kerberos about a year ago when the Galra kidnapped us. During that time, they replaced Jason's arm with that and did experiments on me to figure out the source of Atlantean's control over water."

"Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while!" Will said, closely looking ag Percy's eyes. "Thought I recognized you... you must be descended from Poseidon!"

"How do you know my dad's name?" Percy asked cautiously.

"He was a Paladin." Calypso said, flashing up a picture in a hologram. It was nine people all smiling while wearing armor. In the top right corner, a man that looked a little like Percy was poking the face of a dark haired woman with stormy grey eyes.

"Hold up a second..." Annabeth said, walking closer to the hologram and pointing to the woman Poseidon was annoying. "That's my mom."

"Your mom!?" I asked, making a T symbol with my hands. "Didn't you say your mom was human?"

"Athena was half human." Will said as Calypso zoomed in on the picture of Annabeth and Percy's parents. "Her father was Alkarie. They're a race of alien that value the power of the brain. Super smart."

"Aunt Athena and Poseidon were actually best friends, even if they didn't want to admit it. I guess somehow, they both survived the attack, ended up on Earth, and had you two." Piper explained.

"Aunt Athena?" Annabeth asked.

"She was my mother's best friend." Piper said as she made the picture move and zoom in on a petite, pale, blonde haired woman with Piper's kaleidoscope eyes. "Her name was Aphrodite. Flew the pink lion. Actually, Athena and Poseidon's lions have a story about them..."

"Huh?" Percy asked, giving Annabeth a weird look.

"Basically, Poseidon's lion, the blue lion, was always connected to Athena's lion, the green lion. They may be separate, but always connected. Nobody really knows why, but our parents kind of became a power squad back in their day."

"What I don't understand is how their parents were alive for 10,000 years." Leo said, confused.

"Well, if what they're saying is true, my mom and Percy's dad had alien blood. Even without sleeping chambers, aliens can survive for a long time. How old would you say they were in this picture?" Annabeth reasoned, studying the picture of her mother.

"Well, Athena was in her early 20's, so she was a baby in Alkarie eyes, and Poseidon was maybe 25... I think. Fact check?" Piper said, looking at the other aliens in the room.

"Sounds about right." Will confirmed.

"Yeah." Calypso said. "Judging from their ages, it's not a stretch to believe that they managed to survive the assault and had you two."

"But Athena was half human." Nico said. "How could she survive that long?"

"Well, she had Alkarie blood in her. If she inherited more than just her brain from her alien father, she could've inherited the gene that helps her live for a while."

"Kind of like how I inherited Dad's power over water." Percy said, crossing his arms. "If I inherited that from Dad, then it's not too hard to believe that Athena inherited a longer life span."

"Wonder if I inherited that..." Annabeth wondered.

"Regardless, how did you find the orange lion?" Calypso asked.

Percy and Jason took turns explaining how we came across the lion, our journey here, and how we wound up in this castle where the three of them were.

"You don't think..." Piper said cautiously.

"If the lion is here now, then it must be. Which one of you is Leo?"

"That'd be me Sunshine." Leo said, flirting by wiggling his eyebrows and smiling at Calypso.

Calypso blinked at Leo hard, as if she was having a hard time figuring out why Leo was flirting with her. "Well, you are going to help with this, whether you want to or not. The fact that the Galra are searching for the lions means that we need to get them back here. Now!"

"But who are we going to find to pilot them?" Will asked.

"Those humans have the qualities that the lions value." Calypso said as Olly's eyes widened. "We have everyone here."

"But that's only-"

"Piper is one too."

"I am?" Piper asked.

"It only makes sense. Aphrodite did let you fly the pink lion sometimes for fun. You must be the next Paladin. You even share some of Aunt Aphrodite's characteristics: honest, gentle, caring, everything your mother was."

"Characteristics?" Annabeth asked.

"The lions respond to different characteristics and personality traits. For example, the two lions that make up the head: the black lion and the blue lion respond to natural born leaders. However, the lions respond to two different types of leader. The black lion is a more serious type and the blue lion is more carefree."

"That will be Jason in the black lion and Percy in the blue." Calypso said, taking down the hologram picture and replacing it with a star map with a seven blips on different planets. "Unfortunately, we only know where seven of the lions are."

"Wait... why are there two blips where we are?" Hazel asked, pointing to the orange and black blips on our planet.

"Because we also have the black lion here." Calypso explained. "My father decided to hide the black lion here because of the specifications needed to awaken it."

"And they are...?" Jason asked.

"All the lions have to be gathered."

"Why doesn't the blue lion have that specification?" Percy asked.

"As mentioned before, the green lion and the blue lion are always connected. The green lion has to be present to wake up the blue lion. None of the other lions have that specification."

"So... who's gonna pilot the other lions?" Frank asked.

"Well... what's everyone else's names?" Calypso asked. "Kinda forgot to ask that..."

"I'm Frank, and this is Hazel, Nico, Reyna, and Olly." Frank said, pointing to each of the people.

"Well, you Frank are going to pilot the white lion, which is located in this system right here." Calypso said, pointing to the white blip. A couple centimeters away, there was a yellow blip. "Hazel, you are going to pilot the yellow lion. The white lion values kindness, determination, and hidden power while the yellow lion values creativity, resilience, and innocence."

"I wouldn't exactly call myself innocent, but okay..." Hazel muttered to herself, causing me to snort.

"Olly, you are going to assist Percy and pilot the green lion." Calypso continued, moving to a different planet in the hologram solar galaxy and pointing to a green blip, which was a planet away from the blue blip. "The green lion values smarts, thinking outside the box, and pride."

Percy's eyes widened, then went down to his feet. That definitely sounds like Annabeth. Leo shot me a weird look, like he was trying to figure out how that described the persona that Annabeth had put on for the past year, which it definitely didn't. Annabeth casted her eyes down as if she didn't want to look at Leo or Frank and tell them the truth.

"So how are we going to get them?" Annabeth asked.

"Well, unfortunately we can't locate the purple or red lions at the moment, which are the two that Nico and Reyna will be flying. Until we do, Leo will be shuttling teams of two to the different planets." Calypso explained.

"Teams of two? But there are only five lions." Jason said.

"I think it would be a good idea to accompany Piper when she goes to get her lion." Calypso said, Piper shooting her a dirty look. "She hasn't been off planet in 10,000 decaphebes. I just don't want her to get hurt."

"Caylpso, I can-"

"This is not up for debate Piper." Calypso said a little too forcefully, causing Piper to look at her feet. "Now, as I was saying, Leo will drop Percy and Olly off at the planet that the green lion is on, then drop Jason and Piper off, and then once you get to the planet the white and yellow lions are on, you'll stay with them in case the Galra come and try to seize control. Nico and Reyna will stay here and help me and Will get the Castle of Lions up and running again."

"Yes ma'am. Who's ready to shuttle with King Leo?" Leo said enthusiastically.

"You two gonna be okay here?" Jason asked me and Nico before he and Hazel walked out with the rest of the group.

"We'll be fine." I said, hugging Jason tightly. "Just... be careful, okay? I already lost you once, I don't want to lose you again."

"I know. I'll be fine Reyna." Jason said, hugging me just as tight, then letting go. "Besides... I think that Piper needs a friend right now. Calypso was being kind of harsh."

Nico laughed. "Classic Jason. Always concerned about the wellbeing of the team."

"Hey Hazel, you ready?" Frank asked, pointing to Percy and Annabeth awkwardly standing in the doorway, not daring to look at the other person, Leo fiddling with his jacket, and Piper crossing her arms, glaring at Calypso. "Everyone's waiting."

"Hey Frank," Nico said seriously. "If I find one scratch on Hazel when you two come back, I'm going to murder you, you hear?"

"Nico, I'll be fine. He's kidding... I think." Hazel said as Nico quickly hugged her.

"Stay safe Hazel."

"I will."

Once the group had left, Will clapped his hands together. "Now, who wants to help me with the mechanics of the castle?"

Nico gave me a look, and I'm pretty sure I gave him the same look back. This was going to be an interesting afternoon.
