Astrid's P.O.V

Dragging Hiccup was forceful but he did like coffee, and studying. So here we are and this is perfect too, no one in the shop.

"So you really like coffee?"I ask.

"Hey I do play video games in my spare time too, plus caffeine is what I need in certain occasions like this"He explains, sipping.

"So you good with chemistry then?"having my frappucino.

"Yeah, that's why I'm in academic higher than you"He point to me.

"Sass Boy"I said, smirking.

"I never try".

We both found a picnic table that we can study on, it was a nice day out that it's very windy and sunny out.

"Nice day out to study eh?"I ask, taking a pic of the sky.

"Yeah it is, I like it"He said, pulling out his school work.

"Like the view?"I ask, wait did I flirt with him?

"Yeah the sky is so nice and clear plus the wind I love the wind"He said, wait did he mention about me?.

"I like taking pictures of the skies, it's peaceful I guess"He said, glancing up.

"Are you like a photographer or something?"I ask, smiling.

He blush"uhhh I like taking pictures".

I roll my eyes"good answer".

30 minutes later, both of us finished our homework and it was great, we both have some great time. I'll keep it that way.

We both start walking out from the coffee shop and start walking home until Hiccup flinches.

"What's wrong?"I ask.

"I gotta go bye!"He said it quickly and left me alone.

"Astrid! What's up!"Ruffnut shows up and Oh my gosh Ruff! You scared away my friend!!!.

Hiccup's P.O.V

That was close, I'm not ready to be with anybody yet unless I want that. Astrid has been changing me I don't like but my mind tells me it's way better than my old life with this self harming, suicidal thoughts etc.

I got home it was quiet so it means Dad's still at work, and Toothless must be of wait he's coming down.

"Hey bud"I greet, petting him.

He licks my hand and barks"I miss you too bud".

I went up to my room, drop my backpack and went tommy drawer I know I haven't been thinking of this razor that I kept for a while so this is significant for me.

50 cuts on my left arm, that's how much pain I can carried for now. Luckily it's not infected, if Astrid's find out I don't know what I'll do then.

Astrid's P.O.V

Since when did chemistry became so hard and I don't really understand this percentage composition? Oh well Hiccup said it's very simple and easy as long as I got a scientific calculator on me and I'm good which is somewhere in my room, I'm not well organize.

"Mom! You seen my calculator?!"I called out downstairs.

"Uh no I haven't seen it but if I do I'll call out".

"Okay thanks!"I said, mumbling to myself as I kept looking.

Went to my dads studies"hey Dad you busy?".

"I was but what do you need princess?"He ask, filing his desk.

"I'm losing a scientific calculator have you seen it?"I ask, leaning against the wall.

"I haven't but if I do I'll let you know"He replied, continue on his paperwork.

"Okay thanks Dad"I walk out and went to my room.

"Where on earth is my calculator at?!"I crashed on my bed.

Oh wait I think I know where it is, Hiccup has it. I'll get it tomorrow right now I'm tired.

At my locker sitting down next to my locker, girls are usually morning late ish.

I stare at my phone seeing Hiccup's not online yet, such a stalker I'am but I don't care I just need

"Good morning Astrid!"Elsa shows up with her purse and braided hair.

"Morning"I said, please don't mention it.

She sat down and look both ways on the hallway"so. Tell me Astrid".

"Tell you what?"I said, not mentioning of me and Hiccup's friendship.

"So how long you guys been friends?"Elsa ask.

I sigh"it's been a while".

"That's cool but something tells me you're not just friends huh?".

I frown"well......"I look around"keep this a secret".

She nods"I will".

"You see.....Hiccup's an outcast and he self harm himself"I exclaimed.

Elsa gasp covers her mouth"that's that's, terrible I didn't know. That he was in that stage".

"Well since everyone in this school is a jerk to him it's clearly some people's fault!"I snarl.

"But I didn't do that to him, I'm not a jerk you know that"She said.

"I know, I was thinking if I confront him about his issue and save his life, I never told him yet but I think he knows"I said, glancing my phone.

"What ever feels right for you Astrid do what makes you feel better"She smiles.

"Thanks Elsa, you're a good friend"I smiled.

With that talk we had I decide to confront Hiccup about his self harming this is serious.

I look around for that Boy and spotted him walking out of the school, who the heck he's that fast? If he has friends he would've been those jerk jocks and then I won the friends with him, if he's attractive though.

"Hey Hiccup"I greet.

"Hey"He greets back.

We both start walking until I run in front and stop him from walking.

"Can I ask you about something?"I said to him.

"Uh sure?"He replied, getting a fully attention to me.

"Why do you wear long sleeves?"I ask, crossing my arms.

"Because I'm skinny and weak plus I'm kinda cold so I wear long sleeves"He exclaimed, shivering himself.

"Well there's that. How'd you get that scar"I point out to his wrist.

"Cat scratch me at home"He grasp his wrist and chuckles nervously.

"Seems strange isn't it".

"W-why you so interest of my clothing?"He ask.

"It's not what I'm interested it's what I'm trying".

"Trying?"

"Oh for Thor sakes Hiccup! I know!"I cried out, why I'm showing emotional to him. I never show emotion to anyone except my family.

I ruffle pull up his sleev and it reveal a lot of cuts, oh Thor that's so much pain.

I then have tears coming down"how could you do this!".

"You don't know what I'm going through Hofferson! All my life was miserable! I lost my mom! I lost hope! I lost my childhood friends! And I lost everything!!!"He yelled out like this is not what Hiccup is.

We both stared and suddenly my body move close to him for an unexpectedly hug, he was shock and then recently hug me.

"I know you in a depression stage Hiccup, don't ever commit that again okay"I sober by his shoulder.

"You don't know how I feel"

"I do just don't ever do that again!"I said.

"I...."He pause, probably feeling shock that I actually care.

"Hiccup, we're gonna do this together and this time we're do it right"I said.

He smiles"then I will try stop self harm but this is baby steps Hofferson".

I wipe off my tears and smiled"baby steps Haddock, I'll help you".
