7. Emotions
Author's Pov
By lunch time, the seniors along with Virat, who was forced by Mahi bhai, left the room leaving a sleeping Rohit alone. Well not exactly alone, he was left under the care of Mahi bhai.
"Mahi bhai, where is Virat?" Rohit couldn't help but ask as soon as woke up and noticed the absence of the man, who has earned a place for himself in his heart in such a short period.
He had gotten attached to Virat in the short period of time they spent together in the hospital. He could freely express his thoughts and worries to him without the fear of being judged.
He felt a sense of security and brotherly comfort in Virat's presence something he only felt with his Mahi Bhai and other ICT elder brothers.
And it scares him.
He was trusting Virat a lot more than required in such a short period of time. His mind was asking him to stay alert while his heart was begging him to trust and love Virat.
"Cheeku, I mean Virat had to leave due to a small emergency." Mahi bhai answered, as he started arranging Rohit's medicines.
"Oh! Is everything alright, bhai?" He enquired, concern evident in his voice.
Mahi couldn't help but smile hearing the concern lacing Ro's words. It almost felt normal, almost.
"Nothing serious, Ro. It was just an usual team meeting. Don't worry about it, Cheek-Virat will handle it. Now lets fill your stomach with some food before you take your medicines."
Hearing Mahi bhai's words, Rohit's eyes automatically moved towards the door. He "very" patiently waited for the beautiful girl, err his wife to open the door and walk in carrying his lunch.
Getting no response, Mahi bhai looked up and found his first kiddo's gaze towards the door. A small smile threatened to spill on his lips as he understood what was going on in his kiddo's mind.
"Ritika won't come, Ro. She went to take care of the discharge formalities."
"Discharge?"
"Yes Ro, discharge. Doctor informed us that we can shift you back to your house. He thinks it will help your recovery better. Only condition was that you take complete bed rest since most of your wounds are raw."
"Oh, So when will we leave?"
"Evening around 4:00. Now stop interrogating me and open your mouth. Don't forget you have to take your medicines after lunch." Mahi bhai said, as he brought the spoon close to Ro's mouth.
Rohit tried to stay nonchalant at the fact that instead of Ritika, it was Mahi bhai who was feeding him his lunch. He didn't know why but he wanted Ritika beside him, feeding him, instead of Mahi bhai.
No, don't get him wrong. He absolutely loved his bhai but strangely he was craving to have Ritika beside him. He didn't know why but heart always seems to want her beside him.
She was different from all the girls he had seen in his life. It was not just her looks, there was something more about the brown eyed girl that makes him intrigued about her.
Her presence around him calms his mind, fills his heart with warmth and fills his stomach with butterflies. Every time she looks at him with her brown eyes, he couldn't help but get drawn towards them.
And that little girl Samaira was a female mini version of himself. He doesn't even need any freaking DNA test to prove that the little girl belonged to him. One look was all he needed for him to confirm that the little girl was his.
The child was absolutely adorable and so cute that she almost gave him a baby fever. Her innocent giggles brought in a sense of happiness in his heart and eased all his worries.
The thoughts of Ritika and Samaira always brings a smile on his face. He might not remember them but his heart and soul clearly recognize them as his.
His fates might have wanted him to fall in love with Ritika and Samaira all over again that's why they have erased his memories just so he starts from square one.

"What happened to your fucking phone, Virat? Why the hell were you ignoring our calls?"
"What happened to Rohit bhaiya?"
"Is Rohit bhai alright?"
"Bhaiya, Rohit bhai's condition is stable right?"
"Virat can we come and meet Bro?"
"Virat bhaiya, you are worrying us. Please say something?"
Panicked and worried voices of Rahul, Rishu, Jassi, Yuzi, Harry and Kuldeep hit Virat as soon as he opened the front door of his house. He stilled for a second, completely taken aback by the sudden appearances of his kiddos before his mind started processing the words spoken by them.
He sighed, as he stepped inside closing the door behind him. He crossed his hands as his eyes took in the worry filled faces of his kiddos. He knew he should have expected the juniors to follow the same path as their crackhead seniors.
He was thankful atleast this group showed up at his house and not in the hospital. He didn't want the paps to notice them and write million useless articles about his Ro.
Those jobless fellows are sniffing around the hospital to get news about Ro and it made his worried for his best friend's safety. He was sure by now the news of the seniors being in the hospital has been published with each story being completely different from each other and from the truth.
"Virat, why the fuck are you so silent? Answer the questions."
"You are worrying us, bhaiya."
Rahul and Jassi questioned Vi again, wanting to know what exactly has taken place. The juniors have tried their best to ignore the various news pieces published about their Rohit bhaiya.
They didn't trust the chaotic media people to give them an accurate information about their Bhai though some articles they have come across did nothing to ease their bubbling worries.
They have tried to call both Ritika and Virat, both of whose phones were either busy or switched off. Mahi bhai's phone was unreachable and the seniors sounded sad and depressed when they called them.
Though their elder brothers told then everything was fine, the sadness in their voices was prominent. It was like their elder brothers were hiding something from them.
All these things acted as a fuel to their fire of worries. Having enough of the hide and seek, the juniors decided to meet the people who where the reason for their worry in person.
"My phone ran out of charge and I didn't have my charger with me. Rohit is fine now. Almost all his deep wounds are healed but yes it might take him a few weeks to get back to his feet completely."
Virat's answer somewhat eased their worries. They trusted Virat. They knew he would not lie when it comes to Rohit. But their was this constant nagging in their mind. Something seemed off with the way Virat spoke about Ro. It was same like how their other seniors have spoken to them.
Even Virat was hiding something from them.
"What are you hiding from us, Virat? Even Bhuvi, Jinks, Ash and Jaddu are acting shady like you. What are you people hiding from us? We want to know what happened with Rohit bhaiya. Stop trying to keep us in dark." Hardik almost screamed out in frustration of being kept in the dark.
It was unnerving him as well as the others how their elder brothers were hiding stuff about their injured brother and treating them as small kids.
They are not kids, even though in the eyes of their elder brothers they were little toddlers. They are grown up men.
"Rohit lost his memories." Virat shut his eyes tightly as soon as the words left his mouth, regretting blurting out the information without any warning.
He should have thought about a gentle way to inform the kids about it but his stupid mouth blurted it out without thinking about the complications. Things went exactly the opposite of how he had planned to reveal Ro's condition.
"What?"
"What the hell?"
"Are you kidding us?"
The kids looked at Virat with open mouth not believing a word their elder brother had said. Their Rohit lost his memories? He forgot about them? No fucking way. Nope, Virat bhai was pulling an awful prank on them.
"Bhaiya, you are pulling a prank on us right? Please stop it, because this is not funny."
Virat looked at kul with helpless eyes making it more than obvious that he was not joking around, "I really wish for all of this to turn out to be an awful prank, kul but unfortunately it isn't. Ro doesn't remember the last 14 years of his life. He doesn't remember any of us. Apart from Mahi Bhai, he doesn't remember anyone who has visited him, including me, Ritika and Sammy."
An awful silence blanketed them as they let the news sink in. This is not what they expected and very surely not what they wanted. Their Ro bhaiya doesn't remember them.
Kul held onto Yuzi, who pulled the crying boy into a hug, trying to calm him. Harry stood beside Jassi, both looking utterly lost and helpless while Rahul tried to comfort a pale Rishabh.
The kids looked absolutely devastated by the news that Virat wanted nothing more than to pull them all in a hug. But before he could proceed Yuzi spoke, breaking the uncomfortable silence.
"Can we come and see Rohit bhaiya?" Yuzi asked while the other nodded along wanting to see Rohit themselves.
"It won't be necessary boys. He is getting discharged in the evening. So he will be shifted back home soon." Virat said smiling at the thought of bringing Ro home.

Please do pray for your poor author 🙏 who is currently having a mini panic attack after opening her chemistry text.
Back to the story,
Our dear Cap Ro is behaving like a lover boy for Ritz. If you think he is being cheesy just wait till the real game starts *winks winks*.
Finally the kids are here. So are you all excited for Ro's and the kiddo groups meeting?
How do think will Ro react when he sees the kids?
