I check myself in my full length mirror once more. I'm wearing a red dress with light grey strappy knee-high boots and soft pink finger-less-gloves, accompanied by a flowery bracelet.

Outfit, check.

I head over to my dressing table so I can put on some make up. I open up my make up drawer and start pulling out lipstick, eyeliner, etc.

I go for a more natural look, considering I don't exactly want to end up looking like the Joker again; long story.

Once I'm done I grab my phone and put it inside my Domo bi-fold wallet, then, I head downstairs.

Makeup, check.

"Bye, dad, I'll be back tomorrow." I say as I grab my purple duffle bag, and my car keys. Last week, Dad gave me his old silver Hummer, said it would be easier to get around like that, and I wouldn't have to keep calling people when I wanted to go somewhere.

"Okay, have fun sweetheart, and tell the girls I say hello!" He shouts from his room. "Okay!" I reply.

'HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!' read a banner, and below it, 'WELCOME TO CUPID'S!'
I parked the car and took out my phone,

[Hey, you here?] -Me.

"Right here, Lex." He replied opening my car door.

"Haha. Wow, you look nice tonight. Where are the rest of the guys?" I ask. "Waiting at the table, come on. Oh, also, you look beautiful tonight, Lex." I blushed, "Thanks, Air."

He grabbed my hand and I quickly locked the car as he dragged me to a table inside the event. After our last plans were canceled, Aaron came up with the idea to take me out on Valentine's Day (today), and I happily agreed.

Yesterday, Gracie texted me, said that she was having a sleepover, just me, her, Sophie, and Aaron's sister; Layla. Aaron brought Layla down for Valentine's Day. She's been here for a week.

Tonight I will be meeting her, however, because I wasn't able to for the week. As we approached the table, I saw Logan and Sophie near the table....dancing, a slow dance. "When'd that happen?" I whisper over to Aaron and nod in the direction of Logan and Sophie.

"This morning, apparently. And that too," He said and nodded in the direction of Gracie...and Max. I didn't even know he was coming.

"Woah." I replied. He nodded and then dragged me over to the table where no one was sitting.

"They'll be here in like four minutes, I guess." He said as we sat down.

"Yeah." I replied. "Do you wanna dance?" He asks after a few minutes of awkward silence.

"Em..sure, why not?" I answer and he pulls me onto the dance floor. Just as we are about to start dancing, his phone rings. "Sorry." He smiles.

"It's okay, take it, I'll still be here when you get back." I reply and he walks off.

"Yeah, hello?" I hear until he's out of hearing range.

I look over at Logan and Sophie, I'm glad he finally asked her out. "Hey there, beautiful." A guy says tapping my shoulder, I turn my head to see a guy I never would've expected to see.

"Oh my God! Austin! Right?" I shouted at the person standing right in front of me. "Yes, did you forget me?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Yes, but long story as to why. Wh-what are you doing here?" I ask.

"Well, I was bored and heard there was a party, so I thought, why not?" He answers. Oh man, I can't help but continuously fall in love with his British accent!

If I'm not wrong, me and Austin were best friends all through middle and high school, as Kate and I only met in tenth grade, and became best friends in eleventh. "Would you like to dance?" He asks.

"Back off, dude, she's here with me." Aaron says standing at my side now. "Oh, man, I'm sorry. I don't mean to cause any trouble, I'll be going now." Austin says backing up.

"Who are you?" Aaron asks. "Aaron, this is my guy best friend, haha, and Austin this is Aaron." I introduced. They nod their heads.

"Okay, if it's okay with Aaron, after one dance with him, I would love to dance with you." I say.

"That's fine by me." Aaron said. "Okay, um, I'll be at your table?" Austin asks and I nod, "Make yourself comfortable." I smile and head off to dance with Aaron, he puts his arms on my waist and I connect my fingers behind his neck.

"Please don't fall in love with him." Aaron pleaded. I had to stop myself from laughing at this. "Oh, Aaron, I already have. In fact, I'll just ditch you, and go to him." I say sarcastically.

He narrows his eyes at me, "Wow, nice. You know what I mean...!"

I nod my head, "Don't worry, I won't, he's always been there for me, he's like a brother to me, obviously I won't fall in love with him, Aaron." He smiles, "Good." "Why?" I ask. "Um...because, uh," he replied. "Real smart answer." I say.

"Whatever, Lex, just, because, I....like you." He replied and I blushed, "I....like you too."

A minute later, the song ended and I was about to dance with Austin.

"Okay, I'm going to go dance with Austin!" I say and kiss him on the cheek, which takes both of us by surprise. "I...um...I'm gonna go now. Bye." I laugh awkwardly and then head in Austin's direction.

"Hey, Aus, you ready?" I ask. "Yep, let's dance, your highness." Austin replied bowing.

"Yes, your majesty." I say and return the bow.

This is something we used to do a lot in middles school. We walk to the dance floor and I connect my hands behind his neck as he puts his hands on my waist. "So, about the long story." He says.

I laugh, "It really is a long story, I'm really not kidding, maybe we can meet for lunch tomorrow and catch up?" I ask. He nods his head, "I guess I can squeeze you into my schedule." I shake my head at him, "You mean the empty one? Yeah, I think you can."

He narrows his eyes at me, "Gee, thanks Lex." I smile, "You're welcome!"

"Who's car are we taking?" Kate asks. "We should all just take our own cars, we don't want to leave some of our cars here." Gracie replies.

"Yeah, okay, I'll meet you guys there, Air asked me to pick up Layla, he said he couldn't drop her, he had somewhere to go." I say and hop into my car.

I drive to the cabin, park the car, and text Layla telling her that I'm here. A few minutes later, she's flinging the door open and walking out to the car.

"Hi, Layla?" I ask, because to be honest, I have no clue how Layla looks. "Yeah, that's me. Hi Alexa." She replies.

"Nice to finally meet you, Aaron cannot stop talking about you." I say and she nods, "It's nice to meet you too." I nod my head and then start up the engine and head to Gracie's house.

"So what's it like dating my brother?" She asks. "Uh, I'm not, uh, er.." I stutter. "I'm not dating Aaron." I finally manage to choke out.

"Oh. So you're not official yet?" She asks and I shake my head, "No. We aren't." Not yet.
