We had just entered into the forest of death. We had recieved a heaven scroll. "Scuse me for a second, I really gotta... y'know," Naruto rushes to a tree. I stand there, unfazed. It's not like you can see anything with him turned away. It was better this way, our eyes always on one another. That way no one can give you the slip.

But Sakura has other ideas, and sends him away. We hear Naruto's sigh of relief. Naruto walks out, but his mind... isn't Naruto. I wait a moment. Never know what the enemy will give away if he thinks he's tricked you.

Sasuke had different plans in mind though, and backhanded the fake Naruto. Well, okay, I could use a good fight anyway. I disappear behind "Naruto", punching him back towards Sasuke. It's a bit fun, passing this guy back and forth between ourselves... but I was tiring of this game. I wanted a kill.

The guy transforms into some guy with a gas mask. I run at the guy quickly, kicking him into the air to make an easy target for Sasuke's phoenix flower jutsu. The man dodged every single fire bullet. I frowned. He was fast. 

But not as fast as me. 

He was running away, Sasuke chasing after him. Naruto was on the ground, and Sasuke threw a Kunai to release him. But he was caught off guard when the guy threw an exploding tag at him. The man is looking back at the damaged he caused, but his eyes widened when I jumped through the smoke.

I prepared to chase him down and track him back to his teammates, but Sasuke grabbed my ankle, "Not now, Keira-chan," He sighed.  I turn arund with a slight huff. But then the same man appears behind Sasuke. He just doesn't know when to give up!

"You move, you die," He hissed into Sasuke's ear. I smirk along with Sasuke. Naruto appears, throwing a kunai at the gas mask guy. 

"You're always late, Naruto!" Sasuke insulted. He sticks the kunai to the bottom of his foot, sending it flying towards the man. He jumps up, stabbing him. He yells at Sakura, "Don't let your guard down or you die!" 

The man runs away. Poor Sasuke. The fact that you always have to be on your guard, never trust anyone, is wearing him thin. He can't take it, mentally. I've lived like this my entire life, not trusting anyone, always expecting to be stabbed in the back. I could handle it.

We create a code word, well, speech, to be able to recognize who's who. I of course could always sense their minds and know if it was them. Wind attacks, separating us. I go with the flow of the wind, pushing off of trees and allowing the force of it to carry me. 

I land lightly on my feet. The others fought the wind, which will have left them bruised and battered. I looked around, not seeing any of my teammates. I open my mind slowly, reaching out to search for their minds. 

The barrage of mental noise that hits me as I lower my barriers is astounding. There was so much life in the forest. I finally find Sasuke's mind, and throw up my mental barriers again. I find out that I had collapsed, holding my head in pain.

I run over to them, appearing just as Sasuke attacks Naruto.  "Wait! Stay back!" Sasuke yells, eyes wild. Kuso, he's losing himself. 

"Sasuke-kun, you're mentally collapsing. You can't stand the constant paranoia. You need to be on guard, but not frantic!" I say worriedly.

"The. Password." He grits out.  I hesitate, then murmur it quietly.

He nods hesitantly, but I notice him keeping an eye on me. Doeesn't he trust me? I force myself into Sakura's head, and murmur, it is me. "It's her, Sasuke-kun!" Sakura informs.

"How do you know?" He demands, staring suspiciously at all of us.

"Kuso," I swear, then show him my left arm with all its cuts. "No one has seen my arm, so they don't know what it looks like. Happy?" I hiss.

Suddenly, there's a puff of smoke as the grass nin takes Naruto's place. "Looks like I can have more fun then I expected," The grass nin hissed. The grass nin swallows her scroll. Sakura cringes in disgust.

So, we will have to kill him to get that scroll. She pulls on her eyelid, and suddenly the other two froze. I looked between them. What's going on? "Ah, so your death doesn't effect you? Hm, maybe..." The grass nin muses.

Suddenly, I'm frozen. I fall on my knees, clutching my head in my hands. I see my team leaving me. I see them kicking me out of the village. I see them leaving me here to die, saving themselves. I see them mocking me, watching me die without helping.

It plays through my head like a broken record. Abandonment, betrayal, hurt, anger, sadness... It's overwhelming. Like every bad feeling I've ever had attacking me. I'm going to go insane! I can't stand it! 

I grab a kunai, slicing at my left arm, still exposed from proving to Sasuke who I was. I cut at least four times, each helping get rid of the emotions a little more. I finally can breathe. Blood is running down my arm as just stay there on my knees, panting.

I'm vaguely aware of Sasuke stabbing himself. I jumped away with Sasuke, and just lean against the tree we were on, trembling. He isn't even paying attention to me or Sakura. Sakura crawls towards me, and I look up at her, as if seeing her for the first time.

"Keira-chan? Are you okay?" She asks, worried.

I low, dark chuckle escapes me. Okay? Okay?!? I can't trust you anymore, my teammates, I can't even trust myself! After seeing that illusion... I can't trust anything! Sakura sends me a hurt look, then goes to heal Sasuke. 

I see her forcing chakra into his leg, somewhat healing him. I taught her that. A snake appears behind us, and I jump away, leaving my teammates behind. They would do the same, right? I saw it with my own eyes!

Sasuke breaks, he can't stand the pressure. "Ahhh! Stay away from me!" He shouts in panic. He throws several shurikan at the snake. 

"Keira-chan, why don't you help us?" Sakura cries out.

I look at her coldly. "Why should I? You wouldn't help me," I accuse.

"Of course we would! We're your teammates! We care for you and would protect you!" She cries out.

I stiffen. They care? They'd protect me? I shake slightly in confusion. But... I saw them.. they abandoned me... 

I narrow my eyes. That f*cking grass nin, messing with my head. I can't look at my teammates the same after that hallucination, but they're still my teammates!

The grass nin is about to attack Sasuke, winding up a tree to get to him. I throw several shurikan to stop her, but a kunai is there too! I look behind me and saw Naruto. "Sorry, Sasuke!" He cried out, "I forgot the password,"

I smile hesitantly. Same old Naruto. He wouldn't ever abandon anyone. "Looks like you defeated that big snake... Naruto-kun," She said. 

There has never been a situation where things get better when he comes, Sasuke thought. I smirked dryly. 

"I'll give you this scroll if you leave in peace!" Sasuke declared. Baka, I need to pass this if I get to fight Gaara... speaking of which, I should find him in here and kill him. Same with that Ino-baka. Sasuke prepares to toss the scroll, but I'm there in an instant, scroll in my pouch. 

Naruto attacks the girl, but she does a summoning jutsu. A huge snake appears, attacking him. I grab him and dodge just as the snake breaks the branch Naruto is on. But I lose my grip on him while dodging the tail again.

He falls towards the snakes mouth. Naruto. I see him open his eyes, but they are a bright red. I hear a roaring in my head. 

I AM THE NINE-TAILS! YOU WON'T GET RID OF ME THIS EASILY! It shouts.

I hold my head. The sheer volume and power of the voice is amazing! I throw up my mental walls, fortifying them against the noise. So the nine-tails is helping Naruto out, eh? He should be okay for now. 

Naruto lands a powerful kick on the snakes nose, forcing it to rear backwards. He slams his fists into the snakes nose, over and over again. The grass nin attacks him with fire, and he's thrown to another branch. 

The snake goes to attack Sasuke next. I appear in front of him, ready to protect, but it's unnecessary. Naruto is there, a kunai embedded in the snake, holding it back from attacking Sasuke.

He's panting hard from the exertion. "Hey," Naruto says between breaths, "Are you hurt..." He look up and past me with glaring red eyes, "Scaredy-cat? The idiot coward I see isn't the Sasuke I know!" He declares.

Then the grass nins tongue is wrapped around Naruto. Chakra lights up each of his fingers as he plunges it into Naruto's stomach. I speed up, cut the tongue away from Naruto and throw him to Sakura. I felt a hand reach for my pouch, grabbing the scroll from me. 

Sasuke is frozen in fear, Sakura staring at him and wondering what was going wrong. I was still up with the grass nin, daggers ready. I needed that scroll back. "Oh, Keira-chan," The grass nin murmured, "I didn't think you were still alive..."

I stiffen. What was she talking about? "You were my favorite... but I thought you were a failure... never did I think you had clung to life, survived despite of everything..." 

What. Was. She. Talking about??? "Mmm, my favorite... experiment!" She laughs. Me... an experiment? I attacked, Aiming one dagger at her head and the other at her stomach. She easily dodged. I would have to use more of my speed.

She kicks at me, which I block, then return the kick, aiming towards her face. She leans backwards slightly. "Your probably wondering who I am... my name is Orochimaru." Wait, hold up. She is a he? Okay then... I land a kick on the side of his head.

I do several hand signs. "Elemental Tornado!" I call out. I mix my three chakra types, wind, water, and lightning, creating a tornado of the three. It hits Orochimaru. He's soaked, making it easier for the lightning to electrocute him.

"Oh, very good," He hisses, "I'll reward you with a little information. You are aware that you have more... powers, then the average genin, correct?" I nod hesitantly. "I created you that way. You can read minds, become invisible, fly, control minds, hear farther, see better, mimic voices, you have a large chakra reserve... all these powers bottled up inside one tiny frame... it's hard to believe, isn't it?"

"What are you getting at?" I demand to know, voice low and hard. I glance at my teammates, thankful that they can't hear this conversation.

"Well, one day soon, your body is going to go through a... change, of sorts," He begins to explain. Not the sex talk, I think snidely. "These powers of yours will make or break you. A blessing and a curse. Either your body will reject all these powers, meaning you die, or it will accept them, making you more attuned and in control of them," I stare in shock.

"I'm... going to die?"

"Not necessarily... but possibly. I could save you, but that would require you joining my side, which I don't believe will happen anytime soon. Oh, I'm also holding back more information, you know. Make up your mind soon!" He mocks. Suddenly, I hear slithering behind me.

A snake! A small one, but it's to late. It bites my ankle, injecting it's poison in me. I almost immediately begin to sway. "It's a paralyzing poison, you have no chance against it. If you'll excuse me, I have an Uchiha to fight," That slithery voice I despise told me. I fall off the branch, wind rushing past me.

And that's all I remember.
