~Jessie's P.O.V.~

"Ah! That was a pretty great dinner!" I sighed with content as I placed my arms over my head.

"Couldn't agree more!" Sting grinned, patting his full stomach. I rolled my eyes at his gesture and laughed, Sting soon joining me. Three months after forgiving him, we had hung out whenever he wasn't busy with guild work. Today he was free, so we had dinner together.

"So, how's the guild?" I asked.

"Eh, same old, same old," Sting shrugged, "but being Master is so much work that it's a miracle I'm off today."

"Wait, what do you mean off?"

"Rogue and Yukino are holding down the fort for me."

"Ah, just like always," I grinned. "They're such a cute couple."

"How do you know they're a couple?" Sting raised his eyebrows.

"Come on, the way they look at each other should be plenty enough," I replied.

"Um, they barely glance at each other, and when they do, they look away," Sting countered.

"Exactly," I smirked. He thought about it for a few seconds before understanding.

"Ohhhh, they really are a couple!" A mischievous grin crept onto Sting's lips.

"Oi, don't do anything mean to them," I chuckled.

"Aww, why not?" he pouted.

"Because then Rogue'll get revenge, and I'll be dragged into this," I answered, "and you both don't want that."

"True." I stopped, and Sting ran into me.

"Hey, why'd you stop walking?"

"Um, because we're already at Fairy Hills?" He looked up to see the big building in front of him.

"Oh," he said. "Well, I guess this is where was part ways then?" I sadly nod.

"Afraid so."

"Oh, okay," he flatly responded. "See ya later then."

"Bye," I waved. I turn to walk away, but a voice in my head told me not to. Come on Jessie, you've tried and failed for three months now, perhaps this is your chance! Reluctantly, I turned back around and opened my mouth to say something to him, but no sound came out of my mouth. Atleast say something stop him!!

~Sting's P.O.V.~

"Bye," Jessie waved, and I turned to leave. NO, DON'T LEAVE YET DUMMY! You have something to say to her that you've been putting off for 3 MONTHS, my mind suddenly yelled at me. I could feel my stomach tie into a knot at the thought, but I gulped down my fear and opened my mouth to speak.

"Um, Jessie?" I hesitantly said.

"Yeah?" she replied, turning around to face me with those shiny crystal-blue eyes of hers.

"I...I..um..." Just say it!! "I....r-really..." You're doing good!!! "L-l..iked the place we went to for dinner!" DAMNIT STING, YOU ALMOST HAD IT!

"O-oh, yeah, I did too," she agreed and grinned.

"Yeah, hope we can go there again tomorrow?" I asked, chuckling and rubbing the back of my neck. For another chance to say it... I mentally added.

"You sure you're free tomorrow?" Jessie frowned.

"Yeah, definitely am," I replied quickly, too quickly.

"Okay then, see you tomorrow then." She smiled that cheerful smile that always made my heart melt.

"K-kay, bye," I turned around, and walked away from Fairy Hills. When I was sure Jessie couldn't see or hear me anymore, I loudly groaned. "You idiot!" I scolded myself. "You almost had it! Why'd you say something stupid like saying you liked that restaurant??" I let out a frustrated sigh. There was nothing I could do now, so I might as well just prepare myself for tomorrow. Disappointed, I returned to the hotel I was staying in.

"Hey Sting-kun!" my brown exceed partner, Lector, greeted me cheerfully. "How'd dinner go?"

"Fine," I sighed and plopped onto the bed.

"You admit to her yet?" I glanced at Lector, who had a smirk on his face.

"Almost did, but nope," I groaned, burying my face into my pillow. I felt something soft pet my spiky blond hair.

"Eh don't worry about it, you'll be able to do it next time, hai!" comforted Lector.

"What's the use? It's been three months now, and I still haven't told her yet.." I moaned.

"It's not like there's anybody else she could fall in love with, right?" said Lector.

"You kidding? She hangs out with boys all the time!" I said. "She even told me one time that almost all the men in Magnolia have asked her out!"

"Then you have nothing to worry about Sting-kun," said Lector. I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" It was Lector's turn to sigh.

"If she rejected almost all the men in Magnolia, then why would she hang out with you?" I thought about that for a moment.

"Yeah, I guess..." I sighed.

"Well, you think about it Sting-kun," Lector yawned, and cuddled up in his own tiny bed. I smiled and petted his furry little head.

"G'night Lector," I grinned, and laid on my own bed, looking up at the ceiling. Hopefully I'll admit tomorrow.. I thought as I slowly drifted to sleep.

~Jessie's P.O.V.~

I opened the door to my room in Fairy Hills, exhausted. You're such an idiot! You had the perfect chance to tell him! "Hey Jess!" greeted my magenta exceed partner, Lexi. "Did you have a good time with Sting?"

"Yeah, it was fun," I replied tiredly, and plopped onto my bed.

"So, did you tell him it yet?" asked Lexi, who had a mischievous grin on her face.

"No, I did not," I sighed.

"Come on Jess, why can't you tell him?" asked Lexi, who sat next to me on my bed.

"I just..I don't know," I admitted. "What if he rejects me?"

"Okay, now you're just being silly," said Lexi. I gave her a confusing look.

"How?"

"Come on, who else can he love?"

"Girls flirt with him all the time!" I huffed. Lexi rolled her eyes.

"Yes, but does he actually love any of them?" Lexi asked.

"W-well, no.."

"Besides, I saw you and Sting from the window. He said something before leaving right?" Lexi stared at me, waiting for me to answer.

"Y-yeah, so?"

"Was it a confession?" I could feel my cheeks starting to burn.

"N-no, he just said that he liked the restaurant we went to.." Lexi gave me a suspicous look.

"That sounds like a confession.." she said.

"I-it did sound like a confession at first.." I admitted. Lexi squealed and flew into the air.

"I knew it! He loves you!!" Lexi cheered.

"He did not say that, l-let's not get jump to conclusions.." I stammered, my cheeks a full-on red shade. Lexi loudly groaned.

"Oh come on Jessie! He loves you, he even said those love berries were super sweet!" My eyes widened. How did she..? I shot her a look, and she clamped her mouth her paws.

"Lexi.." I growled. "How did you know about that?"

"M-Mira might've t-told me.." she stuttered. I sighed. So she did know about those berries! But then again, she was the Matchmaker...

"I can't argue with that.." I muttered. Lexi flew back down and snuggled into my arms.

"Well, you can ask him tomorrow or confess yourself," yawned Lexi. "Either way, you have to do and/or say something tomorrow.."

"Alright, I'll try, but no promises," I said, smiling. "Good night Lexi."

"Night Jess."
