Your POV
Vylad and I follow Garroth farther away from the Enchanted Forest until I finally ask the question I’m sure both of us want answered, “Who exactly are you leading us to?”
“The thieves from the Thieves Guild,” Garroth replies, “Hurry. We’re almost to their hideout.”
The Thieves Guild…? Why does that name sound familiar?
Vylad frowns. “Those people are dangerous, Garroth. Are you sure about this?”
His brother nods. “We don’t have any other choice. These people know the best way to get inside O'khasis… and they aren’t all bad.”
Suddenly, V’s head starts looking in all different directions.
“Vylad…?” I mutter.
“Hold on.” He then walks up to a bush and yells, “Who’s there?! I know you’re out there!”
“Aw, man. How did you know?” A familiar, female voice responds.
“It takes a lot more than skill to sneak up on me,” Vylad says.
I sigh. “He’s right. Trust me, I know from experience.”
Afterwards, a woman with blonde hair and purple eyes jumps out of the bushes, almost knocking me over. “Woah- Hey, I know you!” My eyes widen, as her name forms in my head.
Amber. W-Wait, Thieves Guild…
Now I know why that name sounds so familiar. When I was still… a slave… we were settled near O’khasis a little before we traveled to Phoenix Drop’s area. There, one of the bandits took my sister and I to the Thieves Guild hideout so he could sell us without even asking Zeel. When he brought us to the Boss, she sent him away. She didn’t want to buy any slaves. Amber and a few other thieves were there and literally threw us out.
And here I thought I wouldn’t think of the bandits ever again…
Amber smiles, patting me on the back. “You’ve been freed, huh? Unless that bandit sold you to these guys too-”
I swipe her hand off of me. “I escaped, thank you very much.” I then step back, away from her.
From the corner of my eye I see Garroth raising an eyebrow before joining the conversation. “Hello, Amber.”
“You again?” Amber asks, walking towards him, “Where’s Aphmau?”
“Not here,” Garroth grunts.
Amber frowns. “That’s too bad. I always love seeing that little hottie. So… what are you doing here?”
“I need you to get us into O’khasis.”
“Why? The last time you were in the city it didn’t exactly go well.”
The blonde man replies, “I know, but we really need to bust someone out of jail.”
Amber smirks. “You got guts; I like it. You’ve got to be really sneaky to pull that off.”
“Considering the person we’re planning to break out, I’m pretty sure being sneaky isn’t going to help,” I say.
“We’re most likely going to alert every single Tu’lian guard with our presence and have to fight our way out,” Garroth mutters.
“That’s your problem.” Amber shrugs, telling us, “I’ll have to take you to the Boss.” She then starts walking away. We all follow her.
It was actually pretty cool entering the secret hideout. Amber had used a magical dagger to open the door - a sigil, I think - and it was completely abandoned until we reached another really hidden passageway. From there, we walked into a large cave-like room, which lead us to the Boss’ room.
The powerful thief boss with blue features recognized me right away, I know she did. Although, she didn’t say anything. She just had this look in her eyes that told me she knew who I was. After a little bit of talk, Garroth told her of our plan. When the Boss heard this, she laughed out loud.
“You can not be serious.”
“We’re absolutely serious,” Garroth says.
The Boss sighs. “Alright, let’s say we were to help you, what do we get out of it?”
“We have information I’m sure nobody in O’khasis knows yet. It might just change the future of the city forever,” I declare.
“Go on…”
Vylad stares at me skeptically, but Garroth looks straight ahead, about to speak. He’s thinking the same thing I am: “Garroth Ro’meave is alive and well.”
The Boss frowns. “Don’t be ridiculous. Nobody’s seen Garroth Ro’meave in over twenty years… but I am intrigued. How do you know this?”
“I am Garroth Ro’meave.”
“He is,” Vylad and I say, backing him up.
The Boss looks down at us (she’s really tall) and rolls her eyes. “I know who you are, girl, but you… who would you be, hm?”
“Vylad Ro’meave.” The Boss scoffs at him, but he replies, “We have no reason to lie to you, you know. Being a Ro’meave these days is dangerous."
"Please," Garroth begs, "I know we're asking a lot, but this is our mother we want to save."
Suddenly, an idea pops into my brain. I smile, telling the Boss, "She's also the ruler of O'khasis... I imagine she'd give a large award to anyone who helped her."
The Boss sighs, but I can see the smile tugging at her lips, "Fine, fine. Just know that I expect you to return with proof of your claim... and don't think I won't find you if you don't keep up your end of the deal."
Garroth, Vylad, and I nod. "We'll have all the proof you need once we get her out."
"Good. Amber!" The Boss calls. The blonde girl immediately rushes in. "Let's show our new friends into O'khasis."
~
When we find our way into O'khasis it's quiet, but once we enter, the boys immediately decide to change into their special forms: Vylad with his Shadow Knight form, and Garroth with his special new Divine Warrior form. I actually like the boys in their stronger forms, but there isn't much time to admire them after they switch. Both of their changes bring bright lights which alert all the nearby Tu'lian guards.
So, while Vylad and Garroth start fighting with their magicks-infested swords, I take out the weapon I had gotten when I first arrived in Phoenix Drop and ready my healing magicks. Before Vylad and I got together, Lucinda had told me that love was the source of healing magicks. So, I conjure up all the best times I've had with Vylad as I follow the boys and their killing spree, with my weapon held high in front of me.
Finally, we arrive at the jail cell where Zianna is being kept. I've probably killed about four to five Tu'la guards while the boys have killed at least fifteen, but that's fair. They're the ones with power. The only power I have is the kind to heal.
Vylad and I keep watch for any more Tu'la guards while Garroth approaches the prison window. "Mother!" He exclaims, "Don't worry, we'll get you out."
Suddenly, like a bird swooping down to feast on it's prey, guess who jumps down from the roofs? Poison Ivy herself. Well, just Ivy, but she's practically poison so it doesn't really matter.
"Well, well, well," Her annoying high-pitched voice chuckles, "Look what the Divine has blessed me with."
I pull Vylad behind the jailhouse to hide ourselves from her. It doesn't look like Ivy's seen us yet. We can join the fight when the timing is right.
"Ivy..." I hear Garroth mutter. "Your timing is unfortunate."
Vylad slightly peeks around the corner to watch them, while I continue looking out for Tu'la guards. Ivy is enough, do we really need more?
From the quiet of the night I hear Ivy 'hmph'. "This is dissapointing. I was so hoping that silly girl would show her face. I'm actually surprised she let one of her precious guards leave her side..."
She must be talking about Aphmau- wait, did something move?! Oh, it's a cat...
"By threatening my mother, you make this MY fight. NOT Aphmau's," Garroth shouts, "LET MY MOTHER GO, NOW!"
I can literally hear Ivy's smirk as she taunts, "Oo~ I like it when the cute ones get angry! Don't like the idea of me chopping your mommy's head off?"
"I WON'T LET YOU!" Garroth screams. I imagine him getting into fighting stance right about now, if he hadn't already.
Just then, Ivy's annoying cackle rings through the air. "You have no say in the matter~!"
Suddenly, I hear a familiar yell. I quickly turn my head to see Vylad gone. I rush around the corner to see him on the floor, Ivy standing above him. My heart suddenly feels like it's doing a marathon.
"Oh! You brought a friend? And he's a Shadow Knight too? I haven't killed one of them in ages!" Ivy exclaims.
I see the blood dripping down his chin, his head, his arms. My eyes widen. "VYLAD!"
So, I do the only thing I can do.
I race towards him. I run around Garroth, and I maneuver around Ivy before she even realizes it. Before I know it, I'm at my boyfriend's side, attempting to heal him. I close at least one of his injuries before...
Pain. So much pain. I didn't even know a human being could endure this much pain without dying.
I open my eyes to see three blobs through my blurry vision: one red, one blue, and the other pink, which was slowly creeping towards me, an unsettling smirk on its face.
The pink blob starts to speak. Its words were almost muffled, but I could make them out as, "Oh, you again. Really, slave girl, trying to attack people is not a good look on you. Neither is being bloody and bruised... here, let me put you out of your misery."
The red blob on the floor then yells my name with a raspy voice, and the blue blob screams, "Leave her alone!"
The pink blob and the blue blob then somewhat collide as the red blob gets up and runs towards me, grunting. The closer he gets, the more I can sense his dark aura, see his red armour, his red eyes filled with tears. When he crouches over me, I realize he's not a blob, but a person. Vylad. My charming rogue, my best friend, and my boyfriend. The one I would, and might actually be giving my life up for.
He wraps his arms around me and stares at me with panic in his eyes. I can tell he doesn't know what to do except hold me, and whisper words of false hope.
"You're going to be alright. I'll figure out how to help you. Everything's going to be okay. You're strong, Ivy's relic can't kill you. Garroth just defeated Ivy, isn't that great? Come on keep your eyes open. Stay with me. STAY WITH ME!"
Slowly, his words fade into static as I lose all senses.
So, I do the only thing I can do.
I whisper, "I love you..."
And, finally, I can't see, say, or feel anything at all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/n: Oo~ Emotional! Will Y/n make it? Will she die? Will Vylad commit suicide after? Will Garroth then commit suicide? Will Aphmau commit suicide then cause everyone to go into a state of depression and then they'll comnit- aH I'M GOING TOO FAR!
THAT'S WHY YOU DON'T COMMIT SUICIDE, CUZ YOU'LL END UP KILLING A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE AS WELL! SO STAY STRONG AND TALK TO THE OWL WHO LOVES YOU~ Y'know, me!
I love you all, and I'm always free to talk! I really mean it. I'm a really great listener. If you're feeling sad just message your feelings to me and I'll try to help you the best I can, okay?
Now that that's out of the way, hope you enjoyed!
