Your POV

My eyes widened as Owl, Vylad, and I start racing down the hill in the direction of the sound. It was somewhat outside Phoenix Drop, and very, VERY loud.

While we were running, my little sister decided to say something, "Vylad, you said Laurance will explode if he spends too much time with Aphmau, maybe he's the cause of-"

I could see Vylad glare at her from the corner of my eye. "That's not what I meant, and you know it."

Before we even left Phoenix Drop, we heard an extremely loud cry.

"T-That sounded like Aphmau!" I shouted as we all run quicker.

Finally, we made it to the site, and I was in awe. The explosion was humongous. It blew up everything within miles and left a huge gaping hole in the floor. Walking up to the hole, I had noticed Aphmau and Levin. Aphmau was crying on the floor, and Levin was comforting her. I assumed that Vylad and Owl were going to try to comfort her as well... but I had failed to notice the new person standing in awe at me.

"Y-Y/N?!"

I turned, and the blonde covered in ashes in front of me made my jaw drop.

"G-Garroth?!"

From the corner of my eye, I saw Vylad turn his head. He hadn't seen Garroth either.

"GARROTH?!" He screamed, stepping back in shock.

"Baby brother!" Garroth exclaimed, running up to him. Immediately, they hugged.

I smiled, seeing the brothers tear up happily at the sight of each other. I walked up to them as they pulled away.

"I-I thought you were dead! Zane said he saw you die!" Garroth said, smiling wide.

Vylad looked down. "That... That's true..." He looked back up at his brother. "But that doesn't matter! What matters is that I haven't seen you in more than fifteen years...! I'm so happy that you made it out of the Irene Dimension!"

"I've never seen you so happy, V," I giggled.

Garroth turned his attention to you. "And, Y/n! I thought you were dead too! I remember when Father said that you and your sister had gone missing... we were all in tears! Come here." The blonde then pulls me into a hug, somewhat like his and Vylad's. "I missed you."

I smiled. "I missed you too. I'm so glad we're all together again! Wait... together..."I stepped back from Garroth. "Weren't you in the Irene Dimension with Zane? Don't tell me you..."

Garroth shook his head. "No." He turned to the gigantic hole. "The explosion did."

"Oh..." I walked back towards the hole, thinking of him.

At once, a memory began to form in my mind...

"Hey, Zane, why are you so grumpy all the time?" I asked, sitting on a bench next to him in the cold of the winter.

"Well," He started, his voice still squeaky like always, "Ever since... y'know, my eye went blind, Father has been... pushing me... wait, why am I even telling you this?" He scooted away from me. "It's not like you care..."

"Of course I care, Zane! You're my friend. I care about every single word you o your brothers say, whether it's true or not. You can tell me anything, and I won't judge! M'kay, Zane?"

He nodded, the ends of his eyes scrunching up meaning he's smiling - something that almost never happens. "I'll remember that, Y/n."

I sighed, trying not to tear up as my heart sunk inside my chest. Zane was almost as close as Vylad and Garroth was... and, what sucks most, is that I never got to say goodbye.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Don't feel bad, Y/n. Zane... wasn't like he was before. I'm not saying he should've died... I, too, honestly wish we could've changed him before he passed... but sometimes things aren't meant to be."

I nodded. "I know. I just... I feel like I could've helped him if I was still around. Ugh... we never should've left..."

"I... I agree. If there's someone I remember most from my childhood, it's Zane," A voice said from behind me. I knew it was Owl, but I chose not to say anything.

Suddenly, I felt someone's arms wrap around me. I leaned into their chest, knowing that the arms belonged to none other than Vylad Ro'meave, my boyfriend.

"Don't blame yourself, it's not your fault..." Vylad's words were enough to make me feel better.

I heard Owl whisper, "Cute," before walking over to Garroth.

Vylad let go of me and instead turned and hung one arm over my shoulders so we could both watch the exchange.

"Owl! How have you been?" They hugged. "Wow! You've grown so much!" Garroth said, patting her head.

I giggled as my sister crossed her arms. "Clearly not enough to stop you from patting my head!" She retorted but smiled nonetheless.

Suddenly, there was a thud, and we all turned our heads to see Aphmau on the floor.

"Aphmau!" Garroth screamed, running over to her. We all followed him.

Garroth stood, staring at her.

"Garroth, what happened?! Why is she-" I froze, seeing Aphmau clutching Aaron's bandana.

"... Zane wasn't the only one who died from the explosion," The blonde muttered, tearing up, "Aaron did too..."

I froze, as Vylad and Owl started trying to shake Aphmau awake.

Aaron and Aphmau were so close... Poor girl...

Although I wasn't close to him, I started to become sad again. Aaron seemed like a good man... plus, Aphmau must be crushed. Actually, no, more than crushed, after all, I was witnessing her fainted on the floor.

"Garroth?! Garroth! What's going on?! What happened?!" A new voice shouted. I looked up to see a certain blue-haired man running towards us.

"Dante? Is that you?" Garroth asked, not even tearing his eyes away from Aphmau.

"GARROTH! What are you doing here?! Are you okay?!"

Vylad's brother shook his head, "N-No..."

I frowned, as Dante noticed Aphmau on the floor and starting shaking her awake like the others. "Aphmau! Aphmau! What happened to her?! Is she okay?! Aphmau, please!" The bluenette screamed.

Vylad shook his head, standing up. "She isn't waking up. We need to get her back to the safety of Phoenix Drop. Dante, help me. Y/n..." He turned to me, then glanced at Garroth.

I nodded, understanding him. Vylad and Dante both picked her up - Dante carrying her head, Vylad her legs - and started taking her away. I immediately started comforting Garroth, as he started crying.
~
Now, I'm here in front of Aphmau's purple and white house, as Vylad and I update Garroth on what has been going on.

"It's so strange..." Garroth mutters once we're finished. "I was gone for barely a moment, and so much has changed. It's almost as if I've walked into another world. Levin is the Lord of Phoenix Drop now, Tu'la's invaded Ru'aun and captured my- our old home, my childhood friends and my brother have come back to me... Aphmau adopted another baby-!" Then he smiles. "Heh, I'm glad to know some things have hardly changed..."

"Not to mention..." I start, then look at Vylad. "Can I tell him? I mean, Owl already knows, it's only right that your sibling does as well."

"Tell me what?"

Vylad's nods, grabbing my hand. "Garroth... Y/n and I are... dating."

The older Ro'meave smiles again. "Wow, congrats Vylad! I never thought you would get a girlfriend before me... but, then again, you were always the romantic one, and so close to Y/n..." He turns to me. "Congrats to you too. I'm sure you two are very happy together!"

I nod. "Yeah, we are... but, could you keep it a secret, Garroth? We don't want too many people to know."

Garroth nods back at me. "Sure... You know, you two have no idea how happy I am to see you guys again. I miss the good times we all had together."

Vylad smiles at his brother. "Yeah, and although Zane is gone... we can still have more good times together, me, you, Y/n, and Owl."

I smile at the thought. Vylad was right - the past memories are past memories. This is the present, and now that we're together, we shouldn't dwell on the past.

My heart still aches at the thought of Zane dead, but now that the two living Ro'meave's have reunited, things are going to get a lot more interesting.

A/n: I know I may seem cold-hearted... but am I the only one who didn't get sad over Aaron's death? I more got sad over Zane's death tbh...

Anyways, fun fact about the author: I get sad over deaths of people who I don't even know. It's mostly because the deaths affect people I know, so that's why I get sad. For example-

Sorry, I should shuddup now lol. Garroth's back! Happy chapter! Yay!
