5 years ago (Remember from the flashback POV)

"Astena where are you!" Yelled a boy that could pass for a 19-year-old but sadly is 15.

The reason he was shouting was cause he was looking for a girl. His best friend, Astena.

One thing that he didn't know was that she was in the tree above him.

Also that she was going to do something. Something like jump on him. He just yelled, "Astena, I been looking for you all over!"

"Hey what about you, you left me and I had to look for you all over!"

He shut up... And shook his head and sigh. "Okay, whatever, come on, Astena we have to head back." And he said this while reaching for my hand.

My dream - self blushed.

Changing into our animal forms. Mine is a white wolf with red markings (markings on the underbelly, tail, chest, a fancy 'U' on the forehead) and Daniel is a brown wolf with a white underbelly.

And from then on we ran back home.

I'm 19 years old now.

I will never know how it feels to be loved or to have a family.

If you're wondering what I'm talking about is that I have nothing. Like no real home, I don't even know my real name or my family.

But I do remember or more like dream about one thing about a boy with brown hair and beautiful brown eyes.

But I forgot to mention one thing everyone in town hates me. That doesn't matter...right

"Lee!" panicked a voice as I turned around to find my best friend, Sky, a 16-year-old who I found on the streets like 3 years ago.

Now that I think about I'd still remember that night when I met her.

The night was screaming at me as I was running through the forest.

Watching for hunters or idiots in the woods.

Then I heard a noise. It was very faint at first then it got louder.

'It was somebody screaming' I thought. Of course, being the nosey person I am or wolf. I went to investigate the scream.

As I followed it led me to the edge of the forest and right there was a little girl who was screaming, and also right there. She was being threatened by a big black wolf

I should have done the thing a normal person would like to forget but I'm not normal. I'm stupid. And me being stupid to lead me to launch at him and biting his back at a 40° angle

After biting, I felt a liquidity feeling land on my front paws and went I looked down I saw blood. His blood.

Then for some reason, I felt guilty for him. And I let him go. Limping was the only strategy I saw him accomplish as he tried to recover his balance. There were some different activities that he did like growling, starting, and circling ready to attack me. I agreed to do the same cause I ain't a weakling or dumbhead.

What happens next was something I could never explain to anybody I launched. I launched on his neck and hold as hard as I can. He tried to get something in the fight too. He scratched me that going to leave a mark. And it did.

Then I felt a feeling. Like bloodlust. Then used my grip on him. I clenched hard and then I swung him to a tree.

The black wolf then stood up and as he ready to pounce. Then a thought came to me,' How is he still moving without so much blood it would be impossible to still be moving

I then felt somebody come into my mind to mind linked with me, if you're wondering what mind-linked means. Well I need to explain it first it's something all wolves can do to talk to an animal or another wolf but when we can't mind link we howl. And now what it means it means that when someone communicates with you in your mind through your thoughts.

Okay, I'm getting off track let me get back to the story.

That, someone, was the girl so that means she's a wolf. Okay, she said, "This reason he still going is the spur of the necklace around his neck you have to break it off."

This is the only time that I notice the necklace was like an Indian necklace.
'So I just needed to break it

He then attacked me again this time I was ready. Jumping over him to confuse him. Then I saw the necklace I launched at it and bit it breaking it with my teeth.

So now that I got a better advantage. Running into his side and he went flying and dead.

Looking at the girl I nervously chuckled well I tried to anyway. Looking at my fur it seems white doesn't go well with blood. I heard a gasp.

Glimpsing the stunned and frightened manner rose on the girl's face. I transformed back to my human form which was a torn old shirt that I found on the streets and ragged pants.

Now that I got a good look at the girl I saw that she is blonde and had the most remarkable green eyes ever and looks so young to be out here she also wearing a hat, ripped shirt, and cut pants.

"Are you okay." seem to be the only question that I could give.

Then unexpectedly, she caressed me. I had no words for why but I caressed her back. Also, I felt tears on my shoulder but that was not important.

When we broke I said the words that will change my life.

"Do you want to say with me!"

And she responded with a big "Yes!!!"

After that, I memorized a couple of things like her name, and why that black Wolf attack her it was cause she was eating food out of the garbage. And also I received a new friend that day.

Then I felt somebody shaking me as I woke up from my daydream.

"Lee is you, okay you were spaced out, again." Sky said with concern and a little bit of rudeness.

Chuckling cause this 16-year-old is always worried about me. And gave her a reassuring hug. This girl is so like a little sister to me. "I'm fine, Sky just thinking." was the only response for she liked the night I met her.

Brushing her blonde hair. For some reason even though we were born on the streets her hair always stays in good silhouette not compared to mine with its tangles.

"Hey Sis, can we watch the parade that going by Amber street near the bakery?" the youngest said. I love it went she calls me "Sis" or "Sister" it makes me feel like I do have a family but mentions the parade. No, even though she uses that little voice that she has that makes her sound like a 5-year-old wanting to go see Santa.

"Sky, you know I hate watching parades." I snapped at her.

I caught a glimpse of tears pouring out of her eyes. I sighed. I understood she detested it when I snap at her. Yet I don't imply to. I truly do love her with all my heart. "Hey, I'm sorry..... I didn't...mean to snap ....at you I'm ..don't like to go to the parade .... filled with people better than me." This was so tough for me. And Sky recognized it since I was born in the streets I didn't learn to love only defend myself.

I knew she was kidding cause when she is she has her eyebrows raised, I smiled "Sky I know your faking." I said while chuckling she whined, "Awe how you know."

"Cause when you are you'll have your eyebrows raised," I told while chuckling. I adore this girl. " And we can go to the parade," I told her we walk ran out of Destrua, the organization where everyone is an outcast and I made.

" YEAHHH!" was her response, chuckling I replied with "OK let's get going," she whined, we then transform into our Wolf form, and from there we ran to the parade and from there we tried to blend into the crowd.
