Introduction

Dear Diary,

Today, my grandma Emma promised me that she will tell me the story of The Forgotten. She says that I am mature enough to listen to it now, and she doesn't want me waiting. I am so happy and excited! See you tomorrow! Bye!

Emily finished writing in her journal before putting it under her pillow and falling asleep just as soon.

************************************

Emily Bennett is a 13-year-old girl who loves books more than games. She has been living with her grandma in this huge wooden house ever since her parents disowned her because she is a girl. Sometimes, she gets so lost in reading that she finds herself wandering around the whole area, even through the woods behind her house. She has gotten pretty much connected to this place, even though she never asked her grandma why they live in this isolated area, far away from other people and near these woods.

Despite everything, Emily possesses a unique blend of curiosity and courage. She has always been curious to know the story of The Forgotten since she first heard that it is a real story of her grandma's great-grandmother, dating back to nearly 1800. Now that her grandma is ready to tell it to her, why wouldn't she be excited? She slept early to wake up early just for the story.

Her innocent soul is still unaware that her grandma isn't telling it to her because she thinks that Emily is mature enough, but rather because she thinks Emily is old enough to set her free from the burden Emma has been living under since the day, she heard this story. She never called it a story after that; it has always been a curse, not a story.

Emma knows that she will die as soon as she finishes the story, freeing herself from the curse but passing it to Emily. A curse that will never leave her, a curse that will make her suffer, and the most painful of all, it will never let her die until she passes it to someone else.

Everyone wishes to live longer, but if you are suffering from something you can't explain, something you can't understand yourself, then a life longer than 100 years is much more than a curse—it's something you might not want to know.

Emily is unaware of the danger she will be facing after she hears this story. She is unaware of the pain she will have to go through when she takes in the story...

But what if something unexpected happens? Something no one could imagine...

To be continued...

A/n: I will be writing short chapters as I said before, but i will start writing longer chapters later! Vote if you liked it and comment your thoughts!
