Sam was up around 9am, nose twitching as he followed the smell of bacon to his kitchen.

Todd stood at the stove, scrambled eggs and toast already made and on the counter. "Morning Sam." He hummed, turning to face the wolf with the pan of bacon before turning to the other side of the counter and making plates.

Sam dipped his head in greeting and sat at a barstool, breathing in Todd's sweet scent before starting on the plate in front of him. "So you're an Omega?" He asked between bites, pointing his fork at some point.

Todd chuckled softly and nodded, sitting next to Sam and eating his own meal. "I am. Oddly enough I find myself comfortable with an unfamiliar Alpha." He admitted.

Sam frowned, noting how unusual it was for Omegas to be comfortable with an Alpha who they weren't seeing or mated to. "I'll need the address to the riding place." He said instead, pulling out his phone and opening Google.

Todd hummed and typed in the address, hitting enter and returning to his food.

Sam nodded and soon finished eating, cleaning their dishes.

Todd hummed quietly and pulled out his own phone, humming and sighing as he answered a call from his roommate. "Hello?" He answered, ears drooping.

"You know that you're supposed to tell me when you're going to stay out all night." A male voice growled, huffing.

"I'm sorry Tom." Todd huffed, hanging his head.

"It's fine. Be careful." Tom sighed and hung up.

Sam tilted his head and washed Todd's plate. "He your mate?" He asked curiously, grinning at the way the Omega was quick to deny it.

"Just my roommate. He's just looking out for me." Todd explained quickly, ears perked and twitching nervously.

Sam nodded and soon finished the dishes, drying his paws and grabbing his phone and truck keys. "Well let's get going." He hummed, heading outside and getting into the truck.

Todd nodded and quickly followed Sam, getting into the passenger seat and looking out the window as Sam drove to the riding place.

-Time skip-

Sam put the truck in park and got out, opening Todd's door and helping the Omega out.

"Thank you Alpha." Todd said softly, moving closer to Sam as they walked into the unfamiliar area.

"Of course." Sam nodded and draped his jacket over Todd's shoulders before checking them in, his inner Alpha purring as Todd nuzzled into the jacket happily. Sam soon guided the Omega to the barn where their instructor was waiting. The instructor lead them to two horses, explaining everything that needed to happen.

-Time skip-

After riding for a few hours, Sam carried the sleeping Todd to the truck, getting the Omega comfortable before getting in himself and beginning the drive back to his house.

Todd mumbled a few things in his sleep, using Sam's jacket as a blanket.

Sam purred softly and gently rubbed Todd's shoulder, keeping his focus on the road.

-Time skip-

Sam turned off the truck and got out, retrieving Todd and carrying the Omega into the house and into his room.

"Sam?" Todd mumbled, eyes half opened as he nuzzled into the Alpha's chest, enjoying the scent of strawberries and gunpowder.

"I'm here Omega." Sam hummed quietly and gently set Todd on the bed and got him under the covers, soon joining him.

Todd nodded and curled into Sam's side, both of them soon falling asleep.
