Chapter 7: Unbelievable

When Barry woke up, he felt someone's hands on his left arm.

"This is gonna hurt," someone (Caitlin?) whispered. Suddenly, his arm hurt, and he was screaming, again and again, and he couldn't stop, everything was overwhelming, and where was Zoom? Had he brought the doctors in again?

He opened his eyes, and briefly wondered if Zoom had brought in more painful drugs.

After all, that was the only time he got to see his family, even if they hated him.

He would always remember the first drug...

...

Zoom's drug:

Barry looked around. It seemed to be snowing, and there was a pink tree in front of him. He made a full circle, and saw his family standing there.

"Have you come to rescue me?" Barry asked, but he figured the answer would be yes.

He was wrong.

"I can't speak for them, but I don't rescue murderers," Iris spoke, and Barry could feel his hope plummeting.

"Well, she might as well," Joe chuckled, and Caitlin, Cisco, Lisa, Mick, and Len joined in. "You don't, and never will, deserve rescue," Lisa snarled, and then she was on top of him, punching him in the nose,  even through she had long broken it.

When she stepped back, and Barry got a look at everyone's face, he realized that Lisa wasn't the only one.

So he ran.

In the end, they caught up to him, and decided to take turns. When Joe was up, he started taking about how he had let him mother die, how he should have taken her place. When Cisco was up, he started talking about Dante, and the other countless deaths he had caused by creating Flashpoint, and how he could be so stupid to do it again. When Caitlin came up, she yelled about Ronnie, and how he had also caused the wormhole, and Zoom. When Mick was up, he didn't even punch Barry. He took out a lighter and burned him.

And then it was Len. He said exactly what he had said the day he had raped him.

Barry had started crying, and he didn't know if he would ever stop.

End of drug hallucination

...

He looked down, and realized his arm had been set. He stopped screaming, and looked around in confusion. Iris, Joe, Caitlin, Cisco, Wally, Lisa, and Mick were all there, and staring at him.

Barry broke into tears and tried to get up, but Caitlin and Cisco held him down. He tried to lift up his hands to plug his ears, but neither Cisco's no Caitlin's hold gave.

He screamed in hopes blocking out the sound, but he could cream for very long because of his lack of water.

He hung his head, and desperately wished that it would be over soon. Suddenly, he realized they were talking. He tried to tune them out, but he couldn't, like always.

"-wrong with him, Caitlin?" Iris asked. "I have no idea, but maybe he's hallucinating and thinks we're trying to hurt him?" she answered, and turned to Barry, who was staring at her like she was crazy.

He looked around again, and realized that they were in STAR Labs. This wasn't the first time. Usually they alternated between random places, STAR Labs, his old house, Joe's place, and his apartment.

Caitlin sighed. She would have to keep setting bones. She roughly grabbed his hand, and twisted his middle finger back in place. Barry screamed again. Usually he didn't have his actual injuries.

He looked at Caitlin, and whispered the words, "Kill me," before passing out.

...

When he woke, he heard muttering, but ignored it. He tried to go back to sleep, (It wasn't like Zoom let him take naps) but soon found it was impossible. He sighed, and ended up getting Caitlin's? attention.

"He's up," she said, and moved closer, but Barry immediately flinched away. He realized that he wasn't locked down, and got up.

He also realized that he had his speed.

He sped over to a corner, and sat down, knees to his chest. He wrapped his arms around his head and plugged his ears so he couldn't hear their hateful comments.

But it didn't block out everything.

"Daddy?"

Barry looked up, and saw his daughter there. He almost cried. The drug had never brought her in here before.

He wanted to run to her, give her a hug, a kiss, anything, but then he remembered.

This wasn't real.

This was the drug working, and soon she would run over, and slap him, call him names, tell him everything he had ever done wrong.

He felt tears bloom, but he hid his head again.

"I'm gonna go now," Barry heard a voice say that sounded suspiciously like Lisa. She hadn't been here before, either.

(Barry didn't see, but Lisa and Mick left)

"Barry?" someone asked, approaching slowly. (Cisco?)

Barry then decided to think of them differently would just be confusing.

Barry lifted his head a little bit. "Please don't hurt me again," he whispered, then closed his eyes as he realized that it would hurt, but it wasn't real.

"What'd he say?" Iris asked, but Cisco had gone pale. "You-you don't actually think I'll hurt you, do you?" Cisco asked. Barry lifted his head a little more and nodded. "Of course you'll hurt me," he said matter-of-factly, "Because you always do."
