Chapter 6: Torture
Note: The first part is just the first part of chapter 6 of Trying to Recover. I will highlight it in bold the part you should read.
Also, I suck at health stuff, just a warning.
...
15 weeks later (Or almost 3 and a half months later... {Or, exactly 3.45205 months later...})
...
Barry slept. After the second month he had learned how to sleep during 'sessions'. That was what Zoom called them.
His dreams were worse than when he was awake.
...
His current dream:
Barry was walking through his old house, the one he had shared with Len, when said person walked toward him.
"I cheated on you," he smirked, "And I liked it."
Barry choked, but Len wasn't done.
"And it wasn't that hard to convince your family to lock you up either," he whispered into Barry's ear.
Barry felt his eyes tear up. "Why?" he asked, hoping he wasn't being serious.
"Because I never loved you. Don't you remember?" Len asked, and Barry knew exactly what he was talking about.
"Why are you doing this to me?" he begged.
Len smirked, and everything when black.
End of dream.
...
Barry woke up screaming. Again. Zoom had decided to wake him by dunking his head in a bucket.
That was the one thing he couldn't sleep through. Zoom knew this.
So he always woke him up like that.
...
Barry had escaped 3 and a half months ago.
That was the only thing going through every person's mind who was at STAR Labs.
They couldn't find him.
"What if we're think about this wrong?" Cisco asked. "What if Barry didn't run away; What if he was kidnapped?"
No one believed him. "He's run away before, Cisco. What makes you think it's different this time?"
Cisco couldn't answer her. "I don't know," he answered honestly, "It's just a feeling." Now, usually feelings like this one came from vibes, but there was no vibe this time.
"We'll check it out," Caitlin promised, and received dirty looks from all of the Rogues.
...
"They'll never come for you, Barry," Zoom said as Barry screamed. "It's been over three months. They're not even looking for you." Barry couldn't say that he didn't believe Zoom. He did. Why would his family be looking for him?
...
"So, I scanned the city for signs of speedsters, and the last one, or two, was at the alley behind Jitters," Caitlin said. "We can start our search there."
"What do you mean, 'Or two'?" Iris asked.
"I mean, there were two speedsters there, which definitely supports Cisco's theory that he was kidnapped," Caitlin said.
...
"Yep. There definitely were two speedsters here," Cisco said as he vibed the ground. He had found some of Barry's blood and that helped him vibe.
Cisco's vibe:
Barry walked toward where Cisco was, and Cisco knew to walk back or Barry would walk right through him.
Suddenly, unknown to Barry, some blue lighting appeared behind Barry. Barry turned, having heard something suspicious, saw something, (Cisco wasn't sure how much he saw) but then Zoom charged Barry, stabbed him, then grabbed him and ran off.
End of Cisco's vibe
"And one of them took Barry."
...
After spending the rest of the night vibing, Cisco might have found where Barry was being held.
By the next day, they were ready to rescue Barry.

Barry felt his soul being weighed down. The pain Zoom was able to cause was unbelievable.
He had never thought being in this much pain was possible.
He briefly thought of Oliver. If he was ever rescued, or he broke out, he would probably have more scars than him.
That briefly filled him with pride, until he remember. Scars were permeant.
They would never go away.
Barry would never be able to forget.
Another slice into his stomach made him lose his train of thought.
...
One day, Zoom was sedating Barry, (To Barry's immense relief) when a bunch of people busted into the lab.
Zoom was distracted, so he didn't notice them until they hit him with a speed dampener.
When they saw Barry, they couldn't believe it was him.
His middle finger on his left hand looked like it had been broken and twisted, and all of his other fingers didn't have nails. His right arm had obviously been broken before and never properly set, whereas his left arm was dislocated. His lip was bleeding, and so was both of his cheeks. He had obviously been crying, considering his eyes were still wet. It was a miracle he was still alive, considering how skinny he was. He looked like he only weighed 80 pounds. His toe nails were gone, too. There was blood matted in his hair, making Caitlin concerned that there had been a head injury. There were long, deep cuts lining his arms, and they were still bleeding, making everyone guess that he hadn't been fed enough to heal himself, or that they were recent. There was a long line running down his neck, and his whole chest was lined with burn marks. He was sweating, and they could see that some of it had mixed with the tears. There was a pool of something by his feet, and Barry was naked. There was dried blood covering ever inch of Barry's legs, so you couldn't see if there were any injuries there. If you looked closely, you could see that he was missing a toe.
He looked like hell.
...
Everyone gasped. "What happened?" Joe asked. As soon as she saw him, Iris turned her head and puked. So did Cisco.
Caitlin had a strong stomach, (She had to; she was a doctor) but even she almost puked. Len immediately saw red.
He was gonna kill Hunter.
Caitlin raced over to Barry, and froze the restraints off. She grabbed him carefully, and Len and Lisa raced over to help. Mick looked a little green.
They carried him back to the van, and sped over to STAR Labs.
...
He flatlined twice, just on the way over.

This was completely inspired by RedQ's Shattered series on Archive of Our Own. Especially book 2.
