~Time Skip Ten Years Later~

Ten years have passed since the truce was broken, and ever since, everyone has gotten older, but more and more hopeless as these years passed, everyone except Mitchell, who's land and home/kingdom had spread and covered the old ruins of The Village of Wedgemore and Bacca Community. Mitch was now sitting at his desk in his now bigger room, and kept throwing a wooden sphere up and down.

His birthday was in a few days, making him nervous at reaching the age of eighteen. It didn't just mean that he'd get older, it also meant his coronation of being new king will come soon after that. Other than most people, who would love to be king and rule over a large kingdom, Mitch here, didn't. He didn't want to have a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Next thing he knew, he had to do almost everything by force, working all day, ordering troops around, the idea sounded magnificent, but Mitch looked at his dad work enough to understand how hard it was.

King Ross was still old enough to reign, but he was excited that his son would finally be as responsible as he'd been trained to be.

Suddenly, Mitch heard a knock on his bedroom door, and groaned. He wished his door just had a small hole where he could look to see who was there. If it was his girlfriend Millie, then he could just not answer and go down and visit her later and she'd forgive him anyway.

Millie is just a seventeen year old annoying pain in the butt. Why would Mitch date her in the first place? Well, it was under King Ross's force, but Millie doesn't know that. King Ross told Mitch that he approved Millie out of all the girls in the kingdom, making Mitch dread the days he'd spend with her. Mitch heard the knocking again and a voice saying, "Yo Mitch! You in there dude?" And "Get yo' sexy self up and open the door!"

Mitch gave out a sigh of relief when he noticed it was just his two friends, Adam and Preston. (A/N: Preston = TBNRFrags) He then sat up and opened his door and saw Adam and Preston standing outside, waiting for him to open the door apparently. "Hello there birthday boy!" Preston said giving him a small wave.

"Preston's right, it is almost your birthday!" Adam said smiling. Mitch could hardly remember how Adam looked as a small kid, right now, he seemed a bit more bulky, as in, a dramatic change in appearance, while Preston still seemed to look almost the same as he did when he was younger, but taller and with a tone of voice change. Mitch didn't really know what changed in himself, but, he didn't bother asking.

"Yeah, I know, so, why did you come up here?" Mitch asked sitting back down on his seat and facing Adam and Preston, who looked at each other in eagerness.

"Don't you know?!" Preston asked excitedly.

"No, I don't think so." Mitch answered, thinking.

"We became full-on knights today!" Adam announced. Mitch nearly face palmed when he heard this. He was the one that chose them and his other friends, but he forgot they were going to be announced today.

"Congratulations guys." Mitch said with a small smile.

"I can't believe it, I thought all of this hard work was going to be for nothin'!" Preston said sitting on Mitch's bed and examining the wooden sphere.

"I thought the same, but, here we are." Adam said looking at Mitch with a thankful look on his face, and then Mitch knew that Adam knew that he picked them. "Yeah I guess-"

"MIIIIIiiitch!" A cheerful voice chirped which made Preston, Adam, and Mitch wince.

"Well, I guess that's our cue to go." Preston said tossing the sphere at Mitch, who caught it.

"Yeah, I think you two need some time alone." Adam said getting up and walking towards the door. Mitch frowned that he realized that Millie was the one that called his name. He didn't really want Adam and Preston to go, since he didn't want to be alone with Millie at all.

"See ya later Mitch!" Preston and Adam said leaving the room, and in their replacement, was Millie.

Millie was indeed pretty, with dirty blonde slightly wavy hair that went to her shoulders, and sky blue cashmere eyes, who was right now wearing a leather skirt that went down slightly above her knees and a long sleeved white shirt and leather flats. But what Mitch

didn't like about her, was how overly dramatic and overly protective she is. As in, if she tripped and fell, she'd complain how her knees are dirty, and if she sees one of Mitch's friends that are girls, like Ashley, she'd just start snapping at her face, making Mitch embarrassed and apologizing to Ashley shortly after. Heck, Millie even acted like a show off as if she were saying, Hey look at me! I have a prince as my boyfriend and if we ever get married, I'd become the queen!

Mitch sometimes felt that she was a bit ambitious, like she'd treat the soldiers or knights as if she were in command of them, or she'd sometimes talk with the queen on some "royal" advice.

Anyway, she was standing in front of Mitch with a smile on her face, "SO! You made your friends knights?"

"Yeah, I did." Mitch said, hoping she didn't get critically mean.

"Well, if I were you, I don't think I would have picked Adam, Preston was a good choice though! I just think that Adam..." And then she started babbling again. Mitch was used to her being a bit of a rant box, but she did it in a mean way, which Mitch did not like.

"AND! It's almost your birthday!" Millie squeaked in excitement as if she was getting married in a day.

"Yeah, it is." Mitch said, relieved that she stopped talking trash about his friends.

"That means your getting closer and closer to reigning the whole kingdom! Isn't that exciting? I think it's exciting, and you'd be a great king! And, I think I'd be a pretty good queen, don't you think?" Millie said looking at him. Mitch nearly gagged when Millie asked if she'd be a good queen. He hadn't even realized that he would have to MARRY Millie if he had to become a king, but sadly, he had no choice, knowing how his dad would react with him breaking up with Millie. She somehow got a good impression out of his father, but he didn't know how. "Oh my gosh! I nearly forgot! I told my friend to make me a dress that should definitely be done by now! See you later Mitchie!" Millie said kissing his cheek and running out of his room.

Mitch sighed and fell back on his bed, yep, kingly life was definitely fun. He heard a small knock on his door again, making him say, "It's open!" Mitch then sat up once more and saw his father, King Ross. Mitch then realized how much older he looked, his once silky light brown hair had a bit of white hair from the old age, including his stubble, and his chestnut brown eyes looked weary and wrinkled. "Oh hi, father." Mitch said, looking at King Ross, who sat on a chair.

"Glad to see you again Mitchell, I wasn't really busy today, so I thought since it was almost your birthday, that, I wanted to talk to you." King Ross explained. Mitch sighed, realizing that his dad wanted to talk about him being king someday, and blah blah blah, etcetera, etcetera. Mitch had this talk coming, but now he wasn't sure how to react to it.

"I know that you've been dreading the day of your coronation, which will be sometime in the future," King Ross said as if he read Mitch's mind, "but, as you have realized, I am getting older, and weaker, but it doesn't mean I will be useless. I'll still reign until I've decided that I cannot do it any longer, which leaves the kingdom at your hands."

Mitch stared blankly at his dad, he never explained it this way before. When Mitch was younger, he'd think of it as serious talk, but now, it seemed a bit more significant than before. "Anyway, what I'm saying is, no matter how you think you aren't responsible enough, or, if you think it would be too much pressure for you, just tell me, and I'll try my best to help you." King Ross said, facing his son, to see his answer. Mitch sat there, thoughtful, he wasn't sure what to say, or how to respond. He had to admit, he was nervous, he never thought about the topic until just now. "I'll give you some time to think about it, Mitchell." King Ross said, and wearily sat up from the chair, and walked out of the room.

Mitch then fell back on his bed, and looked up at the ceiling. If only the kingdom wasn't as big as it is now, and it might have been easier to reign. But it would be the same thing, it would bring a lot of worries and responsibility.

All he wanted to do, was not make the same mistake he did ten years ago, on this very, same, day.
