Prologue: Welcome to the Squad

Freedom glanced ahead, the tarp sheltered her from the rain, but she had more important problems then getting wet right this minute. In any second, Gale would be here to introduce her to the rest of the team, and of course, she'd probably embarass herself in front of all of them. She really hoped she didn't. The rebellion meant a lot to her.

She scanned ahead with fretful, bright blue eyes. Gale moved forward in the distance, moving towards the tarp she was under, keeping his head down to avoid the pouring rain. There must have been at least five or six more people behind him, if not more. How many people did he expect her to work with?

Once everyone was underneath the tarp, Freedom scanned them all over with her aquatic eyes.

"I'm Boggs," The African American said gruffly, but not uncaring. "Squad leader."

Freedom thought that, if she let everyone go before her, she could introduce herself a lot easier.

She shifted her attention to a shorter man, but he just smiled at her warmly. The man beside him shifted and spoke. "This is Pollux, my brother. He's an Avox." He said, gesturing towards him. "I'm Castor."

The female twins refused to speak, so Boggs spoke for them. "These are the Leeges," he said.

She already knew who Gale and Finnick were,so her attention landed on the last to speak, a woman slightly shorter then her, with a green ivy-like tattoo running from the side shaved side of her head down her neck, and eventually throughout her arm most likely.

"I'm Cressida, kid." She said, smiling and extending her hand. "Nice to meet you."

Freedom shook it, and then looked at everyone else. "I go by Freedom, everyone. Nice to meet you all."

She couldn't shake off the warm feeling of Cressida's hand in hers when they began walking to their aircraft, however, even though the blonde woman probably had nothing to do with her. She was probably just being nice. Yet, the woman seemed appealing to the younger girl in every way. She had broad shoulders for a woman, and the tattoo that curved around it was fun to trace with her eyes. Cressida couldn't have been that much older then Freedom, and the way her greyish green eyes had looked at her when they had shook hands was... Enticing, to say at the least. Wide, with the least bit of curiosity, and a little spark of maybe future friends.

This would be an adventure young Freedom would not forget, in more ways then one.

(Yes, I know it was short, but this was just a prologue!
