Where to?

The grey coloured skies drizzling melodious sounds of raindrops upon the serenity city. A burst of laughter lightens up the gloomy mood, two men with umbrella above them walks down the slippery paths. "So, you're saying that your childhood friend is living in this town, applying the same job and even taking the same bus as you? I mean what a fate this is!" Toby exclaims in disbelief. Hearing this, Wesley's ears glow red as he quickly shuts him up with a glare.

"So, planning on dating her?" Toby asks

"Dating her?!" Wesley repeats after him, almost chocked himself.

"Bah, what are you so nervous about?" Toby giving him a hard pat at his back, nearly knocking him off the ground. "It's just liked the normal days where you take your girl to dinner and have talks with her, giving compliments and so on. Oh, how I miss those days, back then I was rolling with girls" he grins mischievously while constantly winks at Wesley.

"What about now?" Wesley asks

"Now? Heh, now I just spend my time...alone. I prefer that life these days, as my life is still not capable in bringing in another," he replies. The mood shifts towards realism as they both fell into silence. "So, any plans on your date?" Toby asks, breaking off the seriousness between them.

"Well, I have a lot of work to do and those illustrations aren't going to draw themselves you know?" Wesley awkwardly smiles at Toby. Which Toby responded with a roll of his eyes, "Tell you what Wesley, a girl wants a man. A man! Not some simple awkward noodle like clerk!"

"An illustrator if you mind," Wesley corrects.

"Whatever, back to the point. You gonna have to make the first move if you want to have her into the rest of your life." Toby advised. "Chest up, shoulders wide, a natural smile and," Toby pauses to tidy up Wesley's collar. "And a well dressed up man," Toby finishes with a look of accomplishment on the readjustments he had on Wesley.

"And most of all, you got to be more confident!" Toby lastly adds. Wesley's shoulders begin to shore as he is not used to being this open and confident of himself yet. Letting it all loose and back to the old Wesley he's used to.

"For better or for worst, its up to you know buddy, Good Luck out there!" Toby sends him off with a wave of his hand before the bus drives towards the distance. Wesley messages his shoulders from the painful adjustments he'd unwillingly gone through. The bus pulls to a halt, picking up an elegant lady with her dark blue umbrella by her side. Upon entering the bus, her eyes fall onto the empty sit next to Wesley. She smiles brightly and quickly made her way towards him. "Morning!" She greets Wesley.

"Morning!" He greets back with a wave of his hand.

"You looking fine today!" Ina praises, setting aside her umbrella as the bus resumes its course. "You too," Wesley coyly praises her back. Her eyes squints into a mischievous one, "What did you say?" pretending she didn't hear him. "I...I say you look pretty today," Wesley voice fades when closing the end of his sentence. "Why thank you!" Ina happily accepts.

"So...how's your work been going?" Wesley asks

"Hmm? What did you mean?"

"Like the illustrations, drawing and stuff...ya know?"

"Ah! I think I'm still in control. The demands are still low and I could still need some improvements here and there. You?"

"Could have been better, but yea I'm good!" Wesley gives Ina a expressionless thumbs up, where both of them burst into laughter. The bus pulls into a halt, and a new day of work begins. And with another passing of the sun that gives way to a placid night, the road light once again lit up the streets. Two shadows exited the building with one neutrally stretching up his tired body and another still energetic and already losing her patient. "Come on! It's going to close soon if we aren't hurry!" Ina impatiently jogs in front of Wesley.

"You go ahead first, I'll catch up!" Wesley calmly prefers to walk rather than getting breathing difficulties. Their shadows cast down by the streetlights, recapturing the curves and shape of her body. A superb view, as Wesley couldn't help but think the 'golden ratio' is most fitting in describing her body. But her shadow dwindles from the spaces between the streetlights, reappearing and disappearing into the darkness.

After sometime, they finally reached their destination. It was all to familiar for both of them, as the sound of waves washing over the rocky shores and the nostalgic scent of the sea rekindles memories of their youth. "Is this..." Wesley stands there in total Incredulity.

"Yup! Come on!"
