How's...
"What?"
"Hm?" Wesley raises his eye brow.
"I though you say something," Ina assumes. "Must have been the wind, I didn't say anything." Wesley brushes off with an awkward laugh. Ina hugs her legs with her chin presses on her knees. "How's your high school?" Ina asks.
"High school," Wesley let out a deep sign upon hearing it. "All I could say is, it's been a bumpy emotional ride. From the first day of wanting time to quickly carry me till my graduation till the day I barely caught up with time. Those times whilst studying is more simpler times than what I'm currently facing. With only exams to worry about and goals to be set and chase."
"You can say that again," Ina complies.
"You left in all the sudden, and I didn't have a chance to say my goodbyes." Wesley discloses. This in turn took Ina by surprise, glaring straight at Wesley face in search for his emotions. Her heart sank and her mood slightly dims. For a moment, she could almost feel herself being transported back to that particular day. A painful memory that she painstakingly locks it in the back of her mind.
She thought of apologizing but she couldn't find the right words to put it. All in while Wesley begins to hum a familiar song that she couldn't wrap her head around. Something is strangely linked with the memory of them. "You alright with me not being around?" Ina asks again.
Wesley stopped his humming, looking down on the ground like he is thinking something. A grimace smile appears on his face, "I would be lying if I said that it went smoothly. But all and all, I think I was lucky." His smile returns to normal. "That makes the both of us." Ina admitted.
"How's your life abroad?" Wesley asks in consideration.
"The first few years had me infuriated by the language and customs. But after getting the hang of it, you'll be fascinated by all the wonders, culture, history of them! It's like being exposed to a whole new experience!" Ina proclaimed.
"Sounds...fun..." Wesley weakly replies.
"Tell you what, someday I promise I'll take you there! We'll be travelling all across the globe and exploring each individual cultures the world has to provide!"
Seeing her enthusiastic expression, and her eyes now shinning as brightly as ever, Wesley in the bottom of his heart wishes to be able to stay like this forever and seeing her smile that once he thought he may never see again.
Seeing its already pass midnight, they decide it's time to go home. They both bid their goodbyes and went on their separate ways. On the way back home, Ina didn't stop recalling back the all but familiar song Wesley sung back then. Even after reaching her door and entering her house, she still couldn't find the answer,
Putting aside that, she decides to take a quiet rinse of her body before going to bed. Maybe it's because of her exhaustion, she dozes off as soon as she hit the bed. Soundlessly falling asleep with the day restarting into a new one. When she reopens her eyes again, the world seems bigger around her and she found herself back into the past with her luggage by her side and an empty room that used to be hers.
