Elena opened her eyes then looked left and then right, sitting up - it was partly a known place to her."Mystic Falls" she uttered getting up now and walking out of the bedroom. She went down the steps and a very famuluar face said hello to the Original Petrova,
"Nandi, oh, please don't tell me it's one of those things again?!"

"Yes-too much shifting of time has been done- and we need to get things back as they were"

"What does that mean?" Elena felt a certain uneasiness go through her"

"You are bound to your duty-as I was- Bonnie has to send you back to where it all started- and you will destroy the vampire master before they find him" by him Nandi meant Elijah.

"Oh"Elena exclaimed and felt a knot forming in her throat. Her eyes watered,
"That means that I will never...be with Elijah?!"

"I will show you something" Nandi said and now put her hand on Elena's forehead.

Elijah woke up all in frenzy. He looked around for his phone and now dialled Liv's number.

"I know where she is!!"- he shot out as Liv answered the call he then described the token he had seen in his dream.

Liv sat down immediately to do the research and try to locate the tomb with the markings. It was not hard now that they had all they needed.

Everyone, especially Elijah, couldn't wait for Liv to break the magic seal. The tomb opened and they got in- and to their horror Elena was not there.

"But how?" Elijah was now screaming angrily, "I am sure this is what I saw"

"Look!" Liv then saw Elena's ring on the floor and a written message carved with it. "I love you, Elijah, forget me not,always and forever- Elena"

Elijah took the ring and brushed with his fingers over the message. His heart wanted to explode there and then.

"Why?? How??? Did they know? Where did they take her??" he yelled.

Liv and the rest of them didn't have an answer.

"We will keep looking" Caroline said,"we will find her!"

In New York in Elena's actual reality-she sat down at the table of her small apartment- she tried to focus and not think of all that had happened to her recently.

Her phone rang and she saw her witch-vampire friend's name on the display,"Kai?"

"I am ready? Are you?'-he said.

"Ready!" Elena said and now got up,"Meet you at the cemetery -it's an hour before sunset"-

"Yeah-meet you there" Elena said and hung up. She got out of the apartment and went to the diner on the corner to grab a drink.

As she got in the song that came on made Elena' stomach churn.

Forget me not my dear, my darling
Forget me not my love

Elena walked out in the dusk.

"I chose love"  Elena's head bounced with the constant thought as she walked on to the subway.
