Inside the Ball room everything went swimmingly and Caroline was pleased that the fundraiser was going as she had planned it.

"I am going to have fun... and dance..."- she said to Liv, who came up to her.

"Why do you always think that I will bring bad news..."- Liv snapped at her friend.

"Because...huh, sorry... it kinda always is so..."- Caroline said.

"We have till midnight...you know where you have to be?!... I just wanted..."- Liv stopped realizing that she hardly ever got our of her witchy mode.

"I know..."- Caroline said with her spirits dumped a bit. Then she looked around the room to find Klaus. As she spotted him, she walked towards him.

Liv also looked around the room, wondering why Elena hadn't shown up already. Then she heard her phone buzz and she looked at the  message.

"On 7th floor, room 7219"

Liv took off to find her.

Caroline had booked the rooms for them to change just before midnight as they were to meet up in the sewers below the hotel with a warlock who had agreed to pass on some of the dark magic onto Caroline and Elena.

Elena's mind was racing as she was changing from the gown slipping into something more comfortable, her favourite pair of jeans, T-sirt and leather jacket.

She washed her face and pulled her hair into a tail.

"Elena.."-she heard Liv call out as she got into the room.

"I 'll be out in a minute"-Elena shouted back.

"1-2-3"-Elena whispered and got out.

"What's happened? Caroline will freak out if you don't show up!"

"I've just met Elijah -and it wasn't pleasant!"-she said to the witch.

"So he is not the charming dream man, but a gross evil vampire?!"-Liv concluded.

"Oh, he is a vampire!! That much is right-but evil...not...and that is what's crazy! -but.. huh...at the same time I am drawn to him and repelled by him."

"A vampire that is not evil?! That's a first!"-Liv chuckled a bit.

"He is not from this reality you said-"- Elena tried to reason.

"Seems like somewhere else bloodsucking monsters can be normal?!- I am open-minded- anyway, I need his blood, so I can run the spell to find out more about him"

"Huh..."-Elena puffed looking at her phone and the missed calls.

"This unknown number was him"- Elena realized.

"The sooner we get the blood the better"- Liv remarked.

"Ok...'-Elena said calmly as she pressed the speed dial.

"Elena?"- she heard Elijah saying as he responded.

She gulped a bit and then continued-

"Yes...I am willing to talk"-she said seriously.

"I'll be glad to"-he replied.

"Right-room 7219"-Elena said.

She heard him hang up.

Liv now changed as well. She looked at Elena, who was trying to control her emotions.

"Human emotions"-Liv said-"you still have them, although you are the hunter"-the witch remarked.

"I wish I could switch them off"-Elena said.

"Why? You said that you always loved a challenge"

"He is here"-Elena then said as she could feel his presence.

She went and opened the door.

"Hello..."-he said as he stepped in.

"Hello."-Elena answered coolly introducing Liv to him.

It wasn't surprising to see that she had a witch with her, but what he found amazing was her strength and the fact that he could not read her and yet she was human, that much was clear.

"What are you doing here?"-she then asked.

"It is a long story... you recognized me, so that meant that you remembered"

"Someone had put a spell on her"-Liv said-"and you probably hold a clue as to why"

Liv now murmured words of a spell making Elijah's head spin  having him kneel to the floor.

Elena quickly went over to him cutting his wrist veins taking blood in a glass.

She then passed it to the witch, who took it away.

As the witch went out, the spell broke and he slumped on the floor.

Elena got out as well, but stopped for a moment and walked back.

Elijah picked himself up still feeling slightly disorientated.

"I...remembered everything"-she said looking at him-"the flowers, the dance, the kiss... I don't know why this is happening... witchcraft is a powerful thing... "

"Elena..."-he now walked over to her, but she took a step back. He looked at her lovingly.

Her eyes watered and she knew that her barrier was broken.

"I will always remember"-she then said-"but I am a hunter and...I can't be around you..."

He now gently took her by the arm.

She could feel the vampiric  stench, she closed her eyes and then opened them again.

"You are shivering"- he said.

"You were in my dreams"-she said-" and now you stand here and I can touch you- but... "

He now ran his fingers through her hair and before she could move away he kissed her.

It must have been magic, as Elena could only feel the kiss making her heart thump like thunder.
