To make Elena forget that the world is in peril at least for a little while as well as the dream vampire boyfriend, she made her try on the dresses she had delivered for the ball.

"I think the blue one would be so good with that mask - put the mask on" Caroline said to her friend.

Elena put the Venetian inspired mask on. It consisted of a wig on witch a mask waa attached.

"I look spooky in it - you do too."0Elena saud looking at her friend.

"We talk about spooky?!" Caroline joked.

"I feel like a live doll in it - anyway- love that corset"

"Sexy - aren't they?" Caroline then said.

"I wore a dress like this- in the dream-other universe or whatever it was" Elena said.

"The same dress?!" Caroline looked at her friend surprised.

"You were there too" Elena said taking the mask off.

"What?"

"I just remembered - you were also with a man- Klaus was his name" Elena said.

"What?" Caroline repeated still partly phased.

"Klaus was his name." Elena said.

"Klaas" Caroline uttered and she felt as if someone took her breath away.

"Klaas is Klaus??!!" Elena concluded.

"Call Liv!"Caroline then said.

Elena took her phone and dialled their friend's number.

In Mystic Falls in 2011

 Bonnie sat down for breakfast with her grandnother 

"Do you have more on the time shifts?!" Sheila adked her grandaughter. 

"I got this about alternative universe spells- only original witches could send people in different worlds apparently - but they could only do it by using mystical blood of a doppelganger, a woman who drank from the well near Yggdrasil." 

"The ancient oak - from norse mythology. Well, for us it is a very real tree " Sheila said.

"Don't tell me the well exists?!" Bonnie said.

"Although it exist and it is what today we know as Norway. It is full of soil and covered - they have levelled it with the terrain. Anyway, what we have to look is how and why you are connected with that woman Elena. Someone has sent her hear for a reason." Sheila remarked.

"Both her and that vampire are gone now" Bonnie said.

"They will be back- or someone else will come back for you. We need to be prepared."

"You know something more don't you?!" Bonnie looked at her grandmother seriously.

Sheila couldn't hide the truth from her grandaughter any longer.

"When you were eight a witch came here. Her name was Esther. At that time I didn't know who she was"

"Don't tell me that she is the witch from the book great-grandad wrote, talking about the Original family of vampires?!"  Bonnie said.

"She is the one. Someone resurrected her "Sheila said, "but I am not sure for what purpose"

"What did she want?"

"Magic - and your blood, which she took without me knowing. She disappeared one day. I'll tell you - she was very cunning and clever."

"Why?"

"That I don't know-but it had something to do with that vampire Elijah and the woman Elena, who came and went. "

"When she undaggered him - she disappeared. That was one crazy weekend"

"Walpurgisnacht!" Sheila said, "I should have known"

"When witches exchange their knowledge of spells." Bonnie said.

"Elena, if she is the one, she is meant to kill him-to avenge the first doppelganger Tatia." Sheila said.

"Something doesn't add up - why is Esther wanting my blood for it?Why should we care if a hunter kills a vampire? It's a win win." Bonnie said.

"She cannot kill him, because that would disturb the order of the balance- she dies too. Their blood is tied." Sheila now remembered some of the text of the Grimoire Esther had, "No-not the blood. Their souls are tied. Ye- njihove duše su povezane- that's what it said-written next to their names."

"We have to warn her! but how are we going to do that?" Bonnie was worried.

Sheila shook her head pensively, and then as if she had an epiphany jumped up, "Do we have something of hers, something she left behind?"

"I don't know. I will have a look." Bonnie said and rose up from the table. She went up to her room to look if there was something Elena wore that she had left behind.

In New York, present time

Elijah, accompanied by Klaus arrived sometime in the night.

"Lexington House?" Elijah suggested.

"My apartment? I am surprised you choose that one?!" Klaus said.

"Does it matter?!" Elijah said.

"Not really. Lexington House it is!" Klaus said.

The two ancient vampires got into a taxi and after a while they were in Klaus' apartment.

"We are here now - without a witch, if I may add. " Klaus reminded his brother that it hadn't been wise leaving New Orleanse with their trusted witch behind.

"She is following the lead on mother." Elijah said, "this is 2014 - and she has already sent me all the data about Jenna Sommers, born 1980, in Mystic Falls." The brothers gave eachother a look, then Elijah continued, "studied business and managment, realtor, residing in New York, currently working for Saltzman Group"

"So, who is going to be the one to charm her - or shall I simply compell her?" Klaus said.

"Compulsion is the better option, don't you think - and we haven't got much time" Elijah said," I am going to change"

"You can't wait to get your dear Elena in you arms again?! Or ask her to dance?!" Klaus teased as his brother walked away.

Elijah rolled his eyes a bit and went into his room.

Very early in the morning, Elijah went to meet Jenna. Klaus stayed behind for a little while, explaining the cleaning team what he wanted done.

"When you are done- you will show yourselves out." he said as he compelled the group of three, "thank you very much" The Original then left the apartment ready for his breakfast.

As he was about to wish off on the staircase he heard a woman from the apartment below his talking to her mother ready to go out.

He walked slowly now down the steps and as she went out, he purposly almost bumped into her.

"Oh, excuse me - it wasn't intentional. " he said.

Caroline looked at him, her blue eyes nearly blazing with anger, but then composed herself as he helped her with the files she had dropped.

"You came from upstairs?!" she said.

"Yes. " Klaus said "it's my apartment. Got here late last night."

"Oh."- Caroline said looking at him as if she was compelled.

"Ah, forgive my rudness. My name is - Nik. Nik Mikaelson"

"Caroline. Nice to meet you."

"Enchanted." Klaus smiled charmingly.
