[The Space Between us] - Abhir Kiara 3

Before starting thank you for reading and loving my Abhir and Kiara stories.

The atmosphere at Goenka Villa was thick with tension as Kiara and Abhir maintained a stony silence, each lost in their own world. It had been an hour since they returned from Poddar Mansion, and the weight of their unspoken words hung heavy in the air.

Manish and Swarna exchanged worried glances, sensing the unease that had settled over their children.

They tried to coax Kiara and Abhir into opening up, but both were reluctant to share their feelings.

Kiara's eyes seemed to hold a deep sadness, while Abhir's face was a mask of indifference. The silence between them was oppressive, and Manish and Swarna struggled to find a way to break the impasse.

Kiara's chest rose and fell with each labored breath, her eyes closed as if to shut out the painful reality. Her heart was heavy, weighed down by the burden of her sister's words.

The phrases repeated in her mind like a haunting melody, each sentence a dagger piercing her heart, twisting and turning to inflict maximum pain.

Kiara felt like she was drowning in a sea of hurt and betrayal, unable to escape the crushing weight of her sister's accusations.

Her sister's words had struck a chord, resonating deep within Kiara's soul. She couldn't shake off the feeling of being utterly shattered, like delicate glass dropped on cold, hard stone.

The fragments of her heart lay scattered, and Kiara wondered if she would ever be able to pick up the pieces and mend the cracks.

Kiara's breath caught in her throat as Charu's venomous words wrapped around her like a noose, squeezing the life out of her.

The accusations cut deep, each one a razor-sharp blade that sliced through Kiara's already fragile heart. "You were so desperate to warm Abhir's bed," Charu's words echoed in Kiara's mind, the phrase "whore behavior" seared into her memory like a branding iron.

Kiara felt a wave of shame wash over her, her face burning with humiliation. Her eyes dropped, unable to meet the gaze of anyone around her, as if she was afraid of being seen, of being judged.

The weight of Charu's words crushed her, making her feel like she was nothing more than a cheap substitute, a mere replacement for the woman Abhir truly loved.

"Main shaadi se gayab kyaa hui tumne meri jagah leli," Charu's words dripped with malice, each one a poisonous dart that pierced Kiara's soul.

The pain was palpable, Kiara's heart aching with every breath. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of self-doubt, her very identity shattered by Charu's cruel words.

She remembered the way Abhir had stood by her, the way he had supported her against Charu's cruel taunts. He had believed in her, defended her, and made her feel seen and heard.

As Kiara's mind replayed the memories of Abhir's unwavering support, a warmth spread through her chest, countering the chill of Charu's venomous words.

She recalled the way Abhir's eyes had flashed with anger on her behalf, the way his voice had been steady and calm as he defended her against Charu's cruel taunts.

"Kiara meri biwi hai, Charu, uske khilaaf mein ek shabd nahi sununga," Abhir said, his voice firm and resolute, as he stood protectively beside Kiara. His eyes flashed with a warning, daring Charu to cross the line.

Charu's eyes narrowed, her voice dripping with venom. "Oh, Abhir, you're so predictable," she sneered, her words laced with malice. "You'll defend her no matter what, won't you? Even when she's wrong, even when she's manipulating you?"

Abhir's jaw clenched, his face darkening with anger, but he refused to rise to Charu's bait. Instead, he wrapped a reassuring arm around Kiara's waist, pulling her close to his side.

"I'll defend my wife against anyone who tries to hurt her, Charu," he said, his voice steady and calm. "And that includes you."

She remembered the way he had held her hand, the way his touch had made her feel safe and protected. Abhir had been her rock, her shelter from the storm of Charu's cruelty.

And in that moment, Kiara knew that she was not alone, that Abhir was by her side, and that together, they could face anything.

...............

As the door creaked open, Kiara's heart skipped a beat. Abhir walked in, his eyes red-rimmed and puffy, a testament to the tears he had shed.

Kiara's instincts told her to be cautious, to prepare for the worst. But instead of anger or resentment, Abhir's actions left her stunned.

He walked towards her, his eyes locked on hers, and Kiara's breath caught in her throat. She expected him to yell, to scream, or to turn his back on her.

But Abhir did none of those things. Instead, he lay down on her lap, his head burrowing into her waist, his body seeking comfort and solace in her presence.

Kiara's shock gave way to surprise, and then to a deep sense of empathy. She wrapped her arms around Abhir, holding him close as he sobbed uncontrollably. In that moment, Kiara felt a deep connection to Abhir, a sense of understanding that transcended words.

She knew that he was hurting, that he was broken, and that he needed her. And as she held him, Kiara knew that she would do anything to help him heal.

Kiara's voice was a soft, soothing whisper, a gentle breeze that calmed the storm raging within Abhir. She stroked his hair, her fingers tracing the contours of his scalp, as she held him close.

"Shh, Abhir, I'm here, I'm always here for you," she repeated, her words a promise, a vow to stand by him through the darkest of times. Abhir's sobs slowly subsided, replaced by ragged breaths, as he clung to Kiara, his body seeking comfort in her warmth.

The gentle strokes of Kiara's fingers through Abhir's hair were like a balm to his frayed nerves. Her touch was soft and soothing, calming the storm that had ravaged his emotions. As she caressed his hair, Abhir felt his tension ease, his muscles relaxing into her touch.

He buried his face deeper into her lap, letting out a shuddering breath as Kiara's fingers worked their magic. Her gentle ministrations seemed to wash away his pain, replacing it with a sense of peace and tranquility. Abhir's eyes drifted shut, and he let himself be enveloped by the warmth and comfort of Kiara's presence.Kiara's voice was laced with a hint of trepidation as she asked, "Abhir, ek baat puchhu?" Abhir nodded slightly, his face still buried in her lap, his eyes downcast.

Kiara's heart skipped a beat as she waited for the perfect moment to ask the question that had been weighing on her mind.

Kiara's voice trembled as she asked the question that had been haunting her. "Aap kisse chunoge?" Abhir's gaze lifted, his eyes clouded with confusion.

Kiara's words spilled out in a rush, her fears and doubts pouring like a torrent. "Charu di aur mujhme aap kisse chhunoge? Charu di aapka pyaar hai... aur mein... I couldn't even be your friend. Our relationship began with anger..."

Her voice cracked, and Kiara's eyes welled up with tears as she awaited Abhir's response, her heart heavy with the fear of losing him to his past love, Charu.

Abhir's eyes gleamed with a mysterious intensity as he grasped Kiara's hand, his fingers intertwining with hers. "Chalo mere saath," he whispered, leading her to a place that seemed hidden from the rest of the world.

As they entered the room, Kiara's curiosity was piqued. The space was dimly lit, with only a few rays of sunlight peeking through the curtains. Abhir stood before a large portrait, covered with a cloth that seemed to be shrouding a secret.

Kiara's heart skipped a beat as Abhir turned to face her, his eyes burning with an inner fire. He took a deep breath, and with a gentle tug, he removed the cloth, revealing the portrait beneath.

Kiara's eyes widened as she gazed upon the image, her mind racing to comprehend the significance of what she was seeing.

Abhir stood behind Kiara, his chest close to her back, and gently gripped her shoulder. His fingers wrapped around her, warm and comforting, as he asked, "Janti ho yeh aurat kon hai?" His voice was low and husky, filled with emotion.

Kiara nodded, her eyes fixed on the portrait in front of her. "Aapki mumma," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. Abhir's grip on her shoulder tightened slightly, his fingers massaging her skin.

"Bilkul sahi, meri mumma," he whispered, his voice filled with love and reverence. "Meri role model. Inhone ne apni puri zindagi rishto ko sabse aage rakha hai." Abhir's words were laced with admiration and gratitude, his voice cracking with emotion.

Kiara's heart swelled with feeling as she listened to Abhir's words. She could sense the deep love and respect he had for his mother, and the way he spoke about her values and sacrifices. It was clear that his mother had been a guiding light in his life, and that he aspired to follow in her footsteps.

As Abhir stood behind her, Kiara felt a sense of comfort and security wash over her. She felt like she was getting a glimpse into Abhir's soul, and that he was sharing a part of himself with her.

The warmth of his body, the gentle pressure of his fingers on her shoulder, and the emotion in his voice all combined to create a sense of intimacy and connection between them.

Abhir's voice was laced with emotion as he spoke, his words pouring out like a confession. "Gusse mein hi sahi, rishta toh jud chuka hai hum dono ka," he said, his eyes locked on Kiara's.

He took a deep breath, as if gathering his thoughts. "Charu ke saath jo mera rishta hai, yaa tha, woh shayad mein lafzo mein bayan kar sakta hun. Lekin humara rishta, Kiara... humara rishta chaah kar bhi lafzo mein bayan nhi kiya jaa sakta." His voice cracked with feeling.

Abhir's gaze drifted off, as if lost in thought. "Shayad mein chahta tha ki Charu ke saath meri zindagi ho, lekin khanha chahte the ki tumhare saath meri zindagi ho. Uss ladki ke saath jo mujhe pyaar karti hai." His eyes refocused on Kiara, burning with intensity.

Abhir's eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint as he asked, his voice low and husky. "Jab meri maa ne saare rishte itni shiddat se nibhaaye hai, toh unka beta apne rishte nibhane se picche kese hat sakta hai, Mrs. Kiara Abhir Sharma?"

The air was thick with tension as Abhir's words hung in the air, his question a proposal, a promise, and a commitment all rolled into one. Kiara's heart skipped a beat as she processed the weight of his words, her mind reeling with the implications of what he was asking.

The room seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them, suspended in a moment of pure, unadulterated emotion. Kiara's eyes locked onto Abhir's, her soul reaching out to his, as she searched for the answer to the question that would change her life forever.

Abhir's eyes twinkled with mirth as he knelt down, his hands clasped together in a gesture of mock supplication. "Rahi baat ki hum dosti bhi nhi kar paaye toh, abb kar lete hai," he said, his voice dripping with amusement.

Kiara's heart skipped a beat as Abhir's words washed over her, his tone lightening the mood. She couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation, her eyes shining with mirth.

Abhir's face lit up with a radiant smile as he asked, his voice filled with sincerity, "So, Mrs. Abhir Sharma, kyaa aap meri dost banana pasand karengi?" The question hung in the air, a promise of friendship and something more, as Abhir awaited Kiara's response, his eyes locked onto hers with hope and anticipation.

Kiara's nod was almost imperceptible, but Abhir's eyes lit up with joy as he caught the slight movement. A radiant smile spread across his face, and he let out a soft whoop of excitement."Really?"

he asked, his voice trembling with emotion, as if seeking confirmation.Kiara's nod became more pronounced, and a gentle smile played on her lips. Abhir's face lit up with happiness, and he took her hand in his, his fingers intertwining with hers.

Abhir's eyes burned with intensity as he spoke, his voice filled with conviction. "Aur rahi baat tum mein aur Charu mein kisi ek ko chune ki toh jo galti meine pehle ki woh mein doobra nhi karunga Kiara. I'll always choose you."

Kiara's heart skipped a beat as she heard Abhir's words, her soul resonating with the depth of his emotion. She felt like she was drowning in the ocean of his love, her every breath filled with the promise of his devotion.

As Abhir's hand slid to Kiara's lower back, she felt a shiver run down her spine. His touch sent a spark of electricity through her body, and she couldn't help but lean into him.

Abhir's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, his voice low and husky. "Wese, bohut pyaari lag rhi hai aap biwi," he whispered, his breath caressing Kiara's ear. Kiara's heart skipped a beat as she felt Abhir's warm breath on her skin. She couldn't help but blush at the endearment, her cheeks flushing with pleasure.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Kiara felt a sense of belonging, of being exactly where she was meant to be. Abhir's touch, his words, and his love all combined to create a sense of home, of being with the one person who made her feel whole.

"Aap kisse call kar rhe hai?" Kiara asked, her curiosity piqued as Abhir pulled out his phone.

Abhir didn't reply, his eyes fixed on Kiara's as he dialed a number and waited for the call to connect. Kiara's eyes narrowed slightly, wondering who Abhir could be calling at this moment.

Abhir didn't reply, his eyes fixed on Kiara's as he dialed a number and waited for the call to connect. Kiara's eyes narrowed slightly, wondering who Abhir could be calling at this moment.

"Hello, Ms. Charu Bansal," Abhir said, his voice firm and resolute. Kiara's eyes widened in shock as she realized who Abhir was talking to. She felt a surge of emotions - surprise, gratitude, and love - as she listened to Abhir's words.

Charu's voice was audible on the other end of the line, her tone shrill with anger and hurt. But Abhir remained calm, his eyes never leaving Kiara's face. "You had asked me to choose between you and Kiara," Abhir said, his voice steady. "I choose Kiara."

Kiara's heart swelled with emotion as she heard Abhir's words. She felt seen, heard, and loved. Abhir's choice was a validation of her worth, a reminder that she was deserving of love and happiness.

Charu's voice grew louder, more hysterical, but Abhir remained unmoved. "I'm sorry, Charu," Abhir said, his voice softening slightly. "But my heart belongs to Kiara. I deserve to be happy, and I've found that happiness with her."

As Abhir ended the call, Kiara felt a sense of closure, of freedom. She knew that Abhir had made his choice, and that choice was her. She took a step closer to Abhir, her eyes locked on his, and smiled. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

As Abhir's words hung in the air, Kiara felt a surge of emotions overwhelm her. Her heart swelled with love, gratitude, and happiness, and she felt like she was drowning in a sea of feelings.

Without thinking, she wrapped her arms around Abhir's waist, pulling him close in a tight hug. Her body trembled with emotion as she held him, her face buried in his chest.

Abhir's arms enveloped her, holding her close as he pressed his cheek against her hair. His body relaxed into hers, his warmth seeping into her very being.

The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in a sea of emotions. Time stood still as they held each other, their hearts beating as one.

Kiara's tears soaked into Abhir's shirt as she let go of all her fears, doubts, and worries. She felt safe, loved, and cherished in his arms.As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the only sound was the beating of their hearts, a rhythmic reminder of their love for each other.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around them slowly came back into focus. The tension, the drama, the heartache – all of it melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the depths of their love.

Kiara's tears slowly dried as Abhir's warmth seeped into her soul. She felt whole, complete, and at peace. Abhir's arms tightened around her, holding her close as he breathed in the scent of her hair. He felt like he was home, like he had finally found the missing piece of his heart.

In that moment, they sealed their fate, their love strong enough to conquer all. Together, they embarked on a new journey, one filled with promise, hope, and a love that would last a lifetime.

 THE END.
