The group now dwindled down to four, they made their way back to the beach where the trek started, as to get enough signal on the satellite phone to call Caroline. With everything that going on, the signs of struggle meaning Damon's been taken, they needed to stick together and focus on a goal.

Finding the cure. Which they could, since they had pictures of Jeremy's tattoo, they just needed a way to translate it.

"Tell me you're not serious" Caroline groans, having just had the entire situation explain to her by Elena.

"I wish I weren't" Elena sighs honestly "When we got from looking for Jeremy, Shane and Bonnie were both gone, too. Shane needs Bonnie to cast a spell on Jeremy's tattoo in order to find the cure, and he managed to sneak them both out under our noses"

"Well, where's Damon in all of this ?"

Before answering, Elena glances over at Amelia who is where the struggle must of happened, looking for anyway to track the missing Salvatore "We had an argument. I thought he was just taking a walk, but then we went to the beach, we saw signs of a struggle"

"Meaning what ?" The Blonde Vampire asks.

"Meaning somebody probably jumped him and grabbed him" Elena states.

"Do you think Shane took him ?"

"No, I mean, he's not strong enough to take Damon on, even with the element of surprise. He must have someone or at least a few someones helping him. Amelia's looking for a way to track him now, or find whoever took him" Elena explains, still looking at the Evan's girl who is now growling in frustration, as she fails to find anything useful.

"I'm so sorry. I wish I was there to help" Caroline says sincerely.

"Well, maybe there's something you can do from home" Elena says after a second of thought, a none of them were really sure this plan would work.

With that, Elena convinces Caroline to try and get the Hunter's sword from Klaus, so they can try and translate the tattoo pictures. Rebekah though, is adamant Klaus won't hand the sword over even to Caroline, given his fears of having the cure used against him. But, this is one of their only options, they needed to find the cure before Shane.

"I'll find it" Caroline finally clarifies with them all "Don't worry. Just email me photos of Jeremy's tattoo. I'll find the sword and call you back"

"Thank you, Caroline, bye" Elena says thankfully, before hanging up and starting to email her the photo's.

While waiting for Caroline to call them, and letting Rebekah try and find a signal, they all stay sat around on the beach. Amelia gave up on trying to track Damon, after coming up with no look she just pushed her worry to the side, needing to focus on more important matters.

Damon can look after himself, he didn't her to come rescue him.

Sat together a little further back, Elena and Stefan are having a heart to heart for the first time since they broke up, Elena asking him why he never told her about wanting to take the cure. Hearing the whole thing, Rebekah just frowns and pretends tom puke, making Amelia laugh.

"Jealous are we, Rebekah ?" She questions, but gets nothing but a glare in reply "Welcome to the last few weeks of my life"

"I just don't understand, how she can ruin his life the way she has, yet he still clearly has feelings for her" Rebekah groans in frustrations, slumping down in the sand beside Amelia, who glances at Stefan and Elena before shrugging.

"It's Doppelgangers, Bek's. If you aren't one, you get fucked over massively, especially by Salvatore brothers. Trust me, I know from experience"

Rebekah looks at her like she is crazy at that point, shaking her head in humor "Oh my God, how have you not realized it yet ?"

"Realized what, exactly ?" She asks clueless, and Rebekah goes to answer, but is cut off by the phone finally ringing.

Jumping to her feet, and dusting the sand off of her, she answers the phone and presses it against her ear "Hello ?"

"Hey, it's Caroline. We have the translation of the tattoo. We're emailing you pictures of the map and instructions right now" Caroline informs her, putting a look of relief on both girl's faces, knowing this meant they could finally do something other than sit around.

"Got it. Thanks" Rebekah says in a grateful tone.

"Thank you, Care Bear" Amelia smiles, jumping up and shouting into the phone, knowing Caroline probably would of heard her either way.

"Actually" A new and recognizable voice interrupts "It was me"

"Nik, you helped ?" The female Original asks in a baffled tone, her eyes wide in surprise.

"Holy shit, hell must of froze over" Amelia states astounded "Satan is actually helping do a good thing"

"You both sound so surprised" Klaus comments, and they can both just imagine the smirk on his face.

This just makes Amelia snort, covering her mouth to try and muffle her laughter, while Rebekah just rolls her eyes at the girl "Shouldn't we be ? I mean, you don't want me to be human. You don't want any of us to be human. Why would you help us find the cure ?"

"Maybe I finally realized the longer I stand in the way  of what you want, the longer you'll continue to hate me. Perhaps I finally want me sister to know happiness" Klaus suggests, but Rebekah doesn't look convinced, and Amelia honestly couldn't blame her.

Despite being her brother, he had betrayed the girl more then most. When it comes to them, family isn't so much loyal, more complicated and toxic.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me a  hundred times..." But Klaus quickly cuts her off.

"No more fooling. No more games. I hope you get to live, and die, as you wish"

Impressed with Klaus' actions, Amelia stays quiet and looks at Rebekah, who looks touched by her brothers words "So do I"

"This is one more thing, Rebekah, something you and Amelia should both know" He begins, making the happy look fall of Rebekah's face.

Here it comes, the reason he is being so kind, the ulterior motive. 

"There is only one doze of the cure. You need to find it fast and take it. It's the only way you'll..." But the line falls dead before he can finish, leaving both girls frozen in shock, exchanging wary glances.

"Nik ! Nik !" Rebekah shouts desperately into the phone, but gives up, finally accepting everything that just happened.

The four carry on the trek after the phone call, using the translated pictures that Caroline sent them, only Rebekah and Amelia aware of what Klaus said. There is only one doze of the cure, so once one person finds it, it screws over anyone else who wanted to take it.

Rebekah wanted to be human and have the life she always dreamed of, and Amelia wanted Elena to take the cure, so the sire bond to Damon would finally be broken. But, there was no knowing who would get it now, meaning all their hopes and dreams could be broken.

"What did Caroline say ?" Elena finally pipes up, as they walk up a very rocky pathway.

"I don't know, we lost the signal" Rebekah says, which wasn't an entire lie, they did loose the signal in the end "Come on, this way"

Then it goes back to silence, which in Amelia's opinion, beats the awkward conversation they could be having. Then they come to a halt, stopping on top of a cliff top with only one way off it. Jumping off of the edge.

"Well, that's not terrifying" Amelia deadpans, glancing over the edge slightly, before glancing back up at the other three.

They can hear water rushing beside them, a river flowing strongly just beside the bottom of the cliff, and of course that is the way that they need to go.

"We need to get down and across. Advantage: Vampires. All we have to do is jump" Rebekah says confidently, but no one is in a rush to jump down, trust issues still making this teamwork a issue.

Sighing, Rebekah steps toward the ledge to jump, but Elena quickly stops her "Wait, wait. Um... maybe you should leave the map behind. In case you fall, you don't want anything to happen to the phone"

"Are we doing this again ?" Rebekah asks exasperated "I thought we were a team ?"

"Guys, we don't have time for this. Elena, Amelia, you both go first. We'll be right behind you both" Stefan states, giving the Gilbert and Evans girl assuring glances.

Even though she is not happy having to jump with Elena, Amelia nods and turns to the edge of the cliff "Well, I guess now is good time to overcome a fear of heights" She mutters, before stepping one foot of the ledge and closing her eyes, screaming slightly as she falls to the ground.

Landing perfectly on two feet, Amelia grins to herself as she opens her eyes, feeling rather proud she was even able to jump. A few seconds later, the Doppelganger lands on the ground beside her, immediately glancing back up at the ledge waiting for Rebekah and Stefan.

"You have some serious trust issues, you know that ?" She comments, looking at her with a smirk, shaking her head.

"Do you really blame me ? All Rebekah has ever done, is betray us" Elena snaps in response, and Amelia just laughs.

"And how many times have you betrayed her ?" She fires back, making Elena fall silents "Nothing to say, Elena ? Thought not"

"Look, I get you don't like me, Amelia. Honestly, I don't like you that much either. But for the time being, we're are stuck with one another, so can we at least try to get along ?" Elena sighs, looking at the girl with a genuine look of hope.

"Nope" Amelia answers brutally, popping the p and glancing up at the cliff again "What the hell is keeping them ?"

All she hears is Elena gasp, when she looks up again to see Rebekah snap Stefan's neck, and let his body fall to the ground before speeding off "Should of saw that coming in hindsight. Right, you go help Stefan. I'll go after her" Amelia orders, and Elena nods without arguing, before the pair take off in different directions.

"REBEKAH !" Amelia yells out, as she walks along a path searching for the Original, stopping when she comes outside a cave she sees a sea of blonde walk into.

"Bingo" She smirks, rushing in after Rebekah, and grabbing onto the Blonde by the shoulder so she can't run "Caught you"

Rebekah ignores her, and shoves one hand over Amelia's mouth, pointing to her ears as to tell her to listen. So, Amelia does just that.

"I'm gonna kill you" She hears Damon's voice say, making a smile twitch onto her lips, now she knows he is okay "And then I'm gonna get that damn cure, and I'm gonna give it to the girl that's sired to me, so I can be with the girl that I really love"

Amelia's eyes widen at that, shock flowing through her. He doesn't love Elena, he just wants to break the sire bond. But, the girl that he really loves ? Couldn't he of just said a name, so she's not left guessing if it is her he is talking about.

"Your attachment to your friends will be the end of you" A Scottish voice warns him, and Rebekah and Amelia begin to walk toward them at that point, kicking a rock on the way to alert them of their presence.

"You don't know my friends" Damon smirks, glancing over at Rebekah and Amelia when they come into sight, all looking at the Hunter ready for a fight.

"Or in this case, my enemies and my Best Friend" And Amelia grins over at him, before narrowing her eyes and looking at the hunter.

"I think you're a little out numbered, buddy boy" She comments, as the three Vampires begin to circle him, only the entrance into the cave separating him from them.

"We gonna dance or are we gonna play ?" Damon asks, glancing at both Rebekah and Amelia.

"You know he can't hurt me, Damon, unless he's got the White Oak stake" Rebekah reminds him, slowly edging towards the hunter.

The Hunter chuckles at this "Oh, he doesn't, but he's got other toys" He says, before shooting wooden bullets at Rebekah, which have no effect on her at all.

Damon and Amelia stay back, watching at Rebekah rushes to attack him, only to stop when he stakes her with a metal ball, wood spikes sticking out of it. She backs away to pull it out, but he holds up a small ring on his finger, making her eyes widen in realization.

Before she can do anything, the bomb on her explodes, sending wooden stakes through her. Rebekah falls to the ground unconscious, and this sets off a fire inside of Amelia. She rushes up behind the hunter, not caring about the Hunters curse and goes to snap his neck, when he spins and grabs her by the shoulders.

"I don't think so, lassie" He smirks, kicking her in the stomach so she falls back, which only angers her more.

Her face transforming and veins forming under her eyes, she runs at him and goes to bite into his neck, only to get hit around the head harshly with his gun. Confusing her for a second, the Hunter takes his chance and snaps her neck, letting her body fall to the ground temporarily dead.

Damon then goes to attack, only to get something shot at him, so he ends up with a wire tying him by the neck to a support beam. Damon chokes slightly, and hearing Stefan shout out his name, the Hunter jumps down the hole further into the cave out of sight.

"You're wasting time" Damon groans at Stefan and Elena, as they try to help him "Just get the cure. Go"

"We're not gonna leave you" Elena argues firmly, and Stefan shakes his head, turning to look at her.

"No, we aren't. You need to go ahead. We'll be right behind you. Go" Not arguing with Stefan, and sparing Damon last glance, Elena jumps down the hole in pursuit of the cure.

"Alright, come on, we have to catch up" Stefan says, after finally getting Damon free of the bind he was in, now ready to go find Elena and the cure.

But Damon shakes his, heavily breathing as he catches his breath, relief flooding through him from getting rid of the wire bind "No, it's okay. I just need a minuet. I'm only going to slow you down. Go, she only needs one of us"

For some reason, this infuriates Stefan "And what ? You don't want to be that one anymore ? You finally decided it was easier to just walk away ?" He snaps at him.

"There's only one dose of the cure, Stefan" Damon reminds tiredly "She wants to take it, you want her to. Just do what makes her happy, Stefan" The entire time he was speaking though, his eyes were fixed on the unconscious Amelia, which Stefan immediately notices.

"Things have changed" Stefan admits "It's not that easy anymore. But, there's a reason you're sending me, isn't there ? It's not just to do what makes Elena happy, it's so you can be happy with someone else"

Damon rolls his eyes "The last part is non of your damn business, Stefan. And right now it is that easy. Get your ass down that well. Help Elena get the damn thing. Come on"

His eyes lingering on Damon for a moment, Stefan slowly begins to nod, before jumping down the well in pursuit of Elena. Once Stefan is gone, Damon uses his regained strength to pull all the wooden pieces out of Rebekah so she wakes, then pulls Amelia's head so it is laid on his lap as her neck heals.

"You're alive" Rebekah groans, rolling onto her back in pain, waiting for her wounds to heal.

"Yeah" He says simply.

"Amelia okay ?" Rebekah then asks, glancing at her friend who is still out cold.

"She will be, once her neck has healed" Damon says, stroking his hand through Amelia's hair softly.

Rebekah slowly nods, before glancing at the well then back at Damon "Why didn't you go with them ?" She asks, referring to Stefan and Elena.

"I needed a siesta" He deadpans, making Rebekah roll her eyes.

"You gave up, didn't you ?"

"I didn't give up" He defends slowly, thinking for a moment "I just realized... you can't control everything...no matter how hard you try. Let's just say I made peace with that fact"

"Peace ?" Rebekah scoffs "You love Elena. You always will. If she becomes human, she may not feel the same way about. You'll never know peace"

"What if I don't love Elena like I used to ?" He fires back, wincing in regret when he realizes what he just admitted to the Original.

"Don't love Elena ? Then who, as there is only one other I think...." She trails off, looking at the way Damon is holding Amelia, it all clicking into place "I bloody well knew it. If only the girl would realize it herself. You've fell in love with Amelia, but think you've screwed your chances up because of the Elena mess"

"Life sucks. Get a helmet" He comments sarcastically, completely changing the conversation for no good reason.

"You did something selfless, Damon" Rebekah tells him "If I didn't know better, I'd say your becoming a halfway decent person"

Suddenly, a gasp fills the room and Amelia bolts upright, catching her breath as she goes "I'm gonna murder the prick" She immediately growls "Where is he ?"

Damon's face now changes, going back into friend mode with Amelia, completely ignoring the conversation he just had with Rebekah. The Original just watches them talk, and just shakes her head at the pair.

They're both just so clueless.

This took a while, but here you go. DAMON HAS FEELINGS FOR AMELIA ! But, neither of them have admitted they are in love with one another, to each other. So, yeah, still a while to go for Damelia. Plus, Elena is slowly getting pushed to the side by Damon.
