useless yet useful
I'm currently on exam weeks but I'll post it anyway since I'm on a 15-minutes break from studying.
A reader of this book who wants to remain anonymous asked me how do I lose weight and study for exam. I'M GONNA REMIND Y'ALL I'M NOT CREATIVE ENOUGH TO TURN THAT INTO A STORY SO I'LL JUST PUT IT IN A POINT FORM.
How To Lose Weight?
I don't know if this works for everyone but this is my method and my opinions. I don't lose weight easily but it works with this method :)
i. Control your eating proportions
- I was on a fasting mode when I lose weight.
Fasting for Muslims is to not eat or drink from sun rises until the sun set and that's exactly what I did. Search on YouTube "Jianhao Tan Fasting For The First Time' for a better explanation because I can't explain everything here or it's gonna be long and boring.
Basically, don't eat in a large amount of food and blame the foods for the cause of you gaining weight when you don't control your eating. Prevent yourself from eating after 7 or 8 PM.
If you're really really really hungry, drink oats or eat fruits. That's what I did and it's actually make me feel full. I mix a chocolate drink called Milo with oat called Nestum together. I drink that every morning and when I'm hungry at night.
ii. Eat breakfast.
"Why every single diet tips have this tip?"
If you don't eat breakfast, you're going to eat a lot during lunch because you're hungry unless you generally doesn't eat much.
iii. Drink a lot of waters
Drink a glass full of water a few minutes before you eat. This will prevent yourself from getting carried away by eating too much.
iv. Exercise at least thrice per week
I go out for jogging every weekends ( sunday and saturday ) but since it's rainy days lately in Malaysia every evening, I try to go during weekdays as well when I'm not too tired.
Don't force yourself to jog. Like, I did fast walking at first and now I can run for 4 minutes straight without getting ried.
Other than losing weight, exercising is also good to release your tension and it can clear your mind off from studies and works.
Tip : listen to upbeat songs while exercising bcs it's gonna make you dance along. i'll drop my spotify list for jogging down below lol if you're a K-POP fans.
v. Don't check your weight every fucking day.
Don't expect yourself to lose weight after a day. Try to weight yourself every two weeks and see the results. You'll be satisfied? I mean, AT LEAST YOU LOSE SOME WEIGHT.
I'M HAPPY I LOSE 2 KG THO IT TOOK ME TWO WEEKS.
