RANT

I'm gonna rant whoopsie

"I wanna be Asian"

"I prefer Asian culture lol"

"I wish I'm Asian"

*clear throats*

First of all, I'm not going to sugarcoat words and my old readers pretty sure know how am I when I'm confronting about a lot of things in general. I don't want anyone to get butthurt about my opinion because I know there are some Caucasians reading my story as well.

Okay so, let's go to my first point.

ASIAN CULTURE

"I love Asian culture"

I'm going to say that Indians are also part of Asian country but let's go back to that later.

I hate it when some white people pretending they know so much about Asian cultures like? I don't get your point. And I'm emphasizing some because some people going to bash me saying 'not all white people' on the comment section in the future.

Each countries have different cultures. Korean and Japanese have their own culture, and even Malaysian. As a Malaysian, you're going to see multiple cultures as we have a lot of races.

Which culture are you talking about?

SKIN COLOUR

I'm hella offended when people especially a few Caucasians friends of mine who are into KPOP told me :

"You're Asian but why are you not pale like those idols?"

Explain Indian people. India is a part of Asian country and you can't deny it. Why are you questioning our skin colours base on our ethnicity? I'm mix or in Malay, you call it rojak. My mom is pure Malay and my dad is Filipinos, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Portugese and etc.

And yes, I'm Asian with a tan skin colour for you Caucasian because I play sports unlike y'all bitches who stay at home and can't stand the scorching hot sun. Not all Caucasian, but some I know.

When I went to Australia two years ago, I met a Korean girl there and she told me she loves my skin colour and it's quite pale. Her friend who is Australian said I look really tan and question my ethnicity.

Before anyone start bashing me, that's just a pure example of close-minded Australian. I have nothing against them because my foster family is Australian.

FETISHING ASIAN

I recently saw a tweet about this one girl wants to be Korean, and want to have a Korean boyfriend.

Okay, it's your preferences. I have nothing against that. You can apply to be a Korean citizen and migrate there, have a Korean boyfriend. I don't mind at all.

But, it's wrong if you say you want to Korean as in by blood. Like, you don't want to be your own race anymore because Asian is better.

Like I said, you don't know nothing about Asian.

Some Asian parents are really strict. Again, I'm emphasizing the word some because some close-minded people. Our parents set a high expectation for us and it sucks. I recently got a 93% which is an A+ for one of my subjects and do you know what my parents said?

"Where are the other seven marks? I expect it to be 95 and above"

Secondly, a lot of Asian countries does not support the LGBT community. For your information, Korean in general is quite homophobic. What you see on TV and medias are the pure side of them.

Some of them also tend to judge other people easily. Try to watch Hello Counselor and you will see a few episodes where a man got judge by the Korean citizens because he is black and 'smelly'. Another episode shows that a Muslim woman who wears a hijab get a lot of hate messages. The recent episode I watched is about a Korean herself get judge because her daughter suffer from albinism.

Albinism is a family disease so you cannot do anything about it but yet, the citizens still bash her and some parents doesn't let their children play with the daughter.

Sad, I know. But that's how the world is.

DISRESPECTFUL

I'm taking Literature of English as my elective subject in high school. I came across this one short story called Turning Thirty by Minfong Ho. The story is about a British woman name Beverly who is married to a Chinese man name Ah Liong.

If you read the story, you will be furious of what she did to her mom-in-law a.k.a Ah Liong's mother. One of them is about Beverly wants Kuan Yin altar to be remove from the living room because it's smelly and doesn't suit the birthday part that she's setting up for her husband.

Kuan Yin Pusa is a place where the Chinese people pray. The Chinese believe she is the Goddess of Compassion.

One of theme of the story is telling us that the white people often think they are way superior than the Asian so they tend to be disrespectful to us. In a scientific way, if you (a white people) married to an Asian, your child will look like Asian because Asian DNA is powerful? I forgot the term of it.

If anyone make a joke about BTS DNA I'm going to flip.

HAH! WE ARE WAY SUPERIOR THAT Y'ALL WHITE PEOPLE.

I'm kidding. I'm sorry for that harsh joke.

That's all!

Also, should I do a book about how Asian lifestyle is or how am I generally? HAHAHAHHA
