Hongjoong's pov
"Babe!" I repeatedly whined as I walked around the house in search of Seonghwa. The only place I hadn't searched yet was the basement, and I didn't wanna go down there alone.
"Hongjoong, is something wrong? I've heard you call for your boyfriends or husband like thirty times now," Sicheng asked, laughing softly. I turned to face the Chinese man.
"Si! Where's Seonghwa? I wanna order something but I have no clue where to address it to," I huffed.
"Would it be considered a weapon or anything dangerous?" He asked. I shook my head.
"Send it to my post office box, and put my name on it." Sicheng typed out the address to his post office box on my phone's notes app. I squealed excitedly and hugged him tightly. I added the address and his name to my order and clicked the order button.
"So, what did I just enable you to buy?" Sicheng asked, a bit curious.
"A box of tiny plastic ducks!" I responded back, extremely excitedly. Sicheng laughed again.
"That's what you've been yelling at Seonghwa for for the last ten minutes?" Sicheng asked. I nodded my head.
"If I had found him first, he probably would've told me not to order them. So, thank you for fueling my idiocy, Si. I appreciate it. Don't tell Seonghwa I have access to your post box, 'cause now that means I can order him and all of you guys presents for your birthdays and Christmas!" I exclaimed. Sicheng nodded, gave me another hug, and walked off. He stopped a few feet away to say something else.
"Don't buy something that could get attention from the police or anything, Hongjoong. I like having a mail box," Sicheng teased, a small smile on his lip.
"Thank you, Sicheng!" I exclaimed. He shook his head with a smile and left me alone in the halls. I grinned and continued ordering the things I wanted
A week ish later
"Hongjoong, your packages are here!" Sicheng knocked on my bedroom door, the brown boxes in his hands.
"How many of them came in?" I asked as I sat up from laying on Seonghwa's chest.
"Three. How many things are you ordering, man? The mail worker had to call me to pick these up because they wouldn't fit in my box." He gave me the boxes.
"You and that mail worker are about to become quite well acquainted, Si. I've got another, like, three more boxes coming in in a few days!" I exclaimed, picking up my keys from the bedside table to cut open the boxes.
"I regret giving you my post box..." Sicheng laughed and left the room.
By now, Seonghwa had sat up beside me. His eyebrows were furrowed in a silent question as he looked from me to the boxes.
"Sweetheart," Seonghwa began.
"Yes?" I asked, finally cutting open the first box with a key.
"Why is your mail going to Sicheng's post office box?" He continued.
"I was looking for you, like, a week ago to ask you for what address to send them to, but Sicheng gave me his." I pulled out the bag of pastel plastic ducks with a wide smile.
"Are those miniature ducks? Is that what you've been spending your money on?" Seonghwa asked, bewildered that tiny ducks were what I had ordered.
"Yes," I said simply as I tore open the package. Seonghwa gently took the bag from me and widened his eyes.
"Is this two full pounds of tiny rubber ducks?"
"Yes, now gimme," I took the bag back and began giggling at how small they were once I had a few in my palm.
"Do I even want to know what's in the other two boxes?"
"Probably not, but you're beside me anyway, babe," I said as I grabbed the second box. It was much lighter than the first, causing my smile to widen even more.
"Babe, how soon can we take down the door of my room? The room you gave me for when I need to be alone?" I asked. His questioning look never faded.
"Mark can probably take it off its hinges in a few minutes, so whenever you want him to. Why?"
"Wormies!" I shouted childishly as I showed him the box of colorful pipe cleaner worms on strings. He dropped his face into his palms as a laugh tore through his being.
"You were serious about that?!"
"Yes! I would do it to our bathroom door, but then again, it's our bathroom door. So, next best place, my room!" I exclaimed. I cut open the third box to find the spool of fishing line.
"Oh my god..." Seonghwa groaned but laughed again.
"You guys are gonna find my little duckies all over the house, and you can't do anything to stop it!" I grinned.
"Sweetheart,"
"Yes?"
"I love you," Seonghwa laughed. I kissed his cheek.
"I love you," I said.
I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and clicked Mark's contact.
"Mark," I began once he answered my FaceTime call.
"Yeah? What's up?"
"I have a semi weird request of you."
"Oh geez... what is it?"
"Can you take my bedroom door off of its hinges? Like right now?"
"Uhm, yeah. Am I allowed to ask why?"
"You'll see. You'll see."
"That wasn't cryptic..." mark sighed between sentences.
"I'll have it off the hinges in thirty minutes, max. What do I do with the door?"
"I won't be needing it anymore, so do whatever with it."
"Alright..." mark looked confused but agreed to my request.
"Thank you, Markie!" I exclaimed. He smiled and shook his head.
"No problem, Joongie."
I hung up our call to let him get to work. I looked at my husband with a wide grin.
"Babe, can you help me string my worms together?" I asked.
"I don't have a choice, here, do I?"
"Nope!"
Seonghwa sighed but did as I asked anyway. I laughed happily and kissed his lips quickly.
"You love me," I said. Seonghwa smiled softly and pecked my lips again.
"I do, but sometimes I question how- ow!" I cut Seonghwa off with a light whack on the back of his head.
"You married me, dummy! I'm legally your problem now! And you can't get rid of me! Never! A divorce has to be a mutual agreement, and I ain't gonna agree! So don't even ask!"
"Sweetheart, I wouldn't ask for a divorce. You know this. You know I love you more than anyone or anything else in this whole world," Seonghwa spoke gently, trying to comfort me in my false anger.
"I know. I just wanted you to say how much you love me," I said, my grin still wide on my lips. Seonghwa rolled his eyes and continued to help me string the worms on fishing line.
A while later, Mark knocked on our open door. He had my bedroom door under his arm.
"Seonghwa, what do I- oh my god you're doing the worm on a string curtains?! If I order some myself, can I do it too?" Mark cut himself off as his eyes fell to the dozens of worms we had on strings.
"Look what you've done, baby! We're gonna have more worm curtains than doors in our house now!" Seonghwa exclaimed.
"Mark, what y'all do with your money is your decision. Do what you wanna do, man," I said.
"You say that like you're spending your own-"
I gently slapped my hand over my husband's mouth.
"We're married. Everything is ours now, babe. You won't let me get a real job, so, you get to fund my insanity and happiness," I said. Seonghwa gave me a tired look before licking my palm. I ignored it and smiled at Mark.
"Do what you wanna do, Mark. You're an adult," I said. Mark nodded and walked away, the door still under his arm.
"Why did you lick me?!" I whined.
"You covered my mouth!"
"Yeah, 'cause you were being mean!"
"How was I being mean, sweetheart? You're spending my money,"
"You put it on my debit card, so it's mine now!" I retorted. Seonghwa smiled and kissed my forehead.
"You've got me there,"
I kissed his lips sweetly before pulling apart to continue stringing the worms.
"This is a lot of worms! I didn't think this through when I ordered them..." I mumbled as I pulled out my phone. I started a group video call with Mingi and San.
Italics is Mingi
Bold italics is San
Normal is Hongjoong
"Hello?"
"Hi baby,"
"Do you guys wanna come help Hwa and I with my worm curtains?"
"Your what?"
"Absolutely!"
"Min, I'm making worm on a string curtains for my bedroom door, and it's a lot more work than I thought it would be." I laughed. The pair nodded their heads and soon appeared in our doorway.
We began to work on stringing up the worms until San noticed the tiny pink duck that was under his foot.
"Joongie, is this a mini duck?" He asked.
"Yep! I bought two pounds of them, not realizing it was two pounds. So, now I have an army of ducks!" I exclaimed.
"You're adorable," San laughed and pocketed the duck. My jaw dropped as I watched him.
"Are you really taking one of my precious little soldiers without asking?" I asked.
"Yep." San nodded. I sighed and grabbed a few more from their package to give him. He gave me a quick kiss as thanks then continued to help.
Once we finished stringing up all of the worms, and after some arguing from my end for them to keep helping, we had every worm strung together.
"Do we have a hot glue gun?" I asked. Seonghwa shook his head.
"Why would we have a hot glue gun?" He asked.
"Do we have any kind of glue? Or tape?" I asked.
"Sicheng and Yeosang should have their tape in the med room," Mingi said.
"I guess that'll do for now until I get a glue gun."
"Worm!" I shouted simply but excitedly. I heard my three lovers laugh behind me but I still stood proudly in front of my worm curtain.
"I love you," they all three said at the same time.
"I love you, too,"
I want a worm curtain so bad y'all. I can't wait to get out on my own to do stupid but harmless stuff like this.
