we've both chased the sun

golden sun .. light years away

those beautiful golden streaked skies

we flew together .. loving .. dreaming

awesome days .. nights would never end

you were the first love i'd ever know

happiness .. pleasing you .. you pleasing me

the whole world was and is ours .. then .. now

you were and will always be gold .. solid .. gold

i'd given all my heart to you .. opened my soul

yet you went away .. forever my heart .. quietly weeps
