I looked at him when he told me he didn't want to be with her. It doesn't sound like he wants to be with me. We didn't say anything after I looked at him, so we drove back home in peace. We didn't say anything to one another during the drive until we got to my house. 

''Bye.'' I said, but he didn't say anything to me while I was getting my bags out of the car. He left and I was walking towards my door to open the door. I open my door seeing my mother dancing and singing. I didn't pay attention to my mom because she was in a good time, and I didn't want to be a Debby downer. I went upstairs to take a shower because I wanted to let it everything go from the camping trip. After I shower, I draft out a paper to send to Max about our deal, but I got interrupted when the doorbell rang. I went downstairs to find out who it is until I realize it was Max coming to talk. 

''I said bye and you didn't respond.'' I stare at him, and he told me he needed to talk, and he realize he was around the corner my house and he turned the car again to speak to me. 

''I want to talk.'' He was waiting for me to let him in. I didn't want to let him in because he was being rude to me. Max looked at me with a puppy face, so I let him in to talk where we sat down on the couches in the living room. He started to speak, and I just sat there listening to him until I interrupted him. I told him how he needs to be more attentive when it comes to me because I am starting to think that I am pawn in this little game of his and his girlfriend. He told me that I don't need to worry about Melissa because she is doing all of these things to get back with him. 

''I should be worried.'' I looked at him, he laughed. Once we were done speaking to one another we were staring at one another waiting for someone to speak or do something. I got up from my seat walking towards the door where Max followed me by grabbing my hand. He continues to hold my hand as we stare into one another eyes. I couldn't help myself to get lost in his eyes although I know this is a deal and there is no room for love. Max let go of my hand as he headed straight for the door. 

''I guess I will see you at school.'' He says. I replied by saying I will be seeing him at school, but I was staring at him. He waves a goodbye to me as he turned to walk over to his car, and I kept watching him until he turned around as he walked over to me. ''What are you doing?'' I asked him and he grabbed me as he kissed me. I wrap my arms around his neck as we shared the sensual sweet intense kiss ever. Then our kiss took us upstairs to my bedroom where I took off his shirt and unbuckled his pants. When he was on top of me, I thought about us having sex and how weird it will get once we do it for real. 

I told him to stop because I am not ready to have sex. He sat on my bed telling me he will not rush me into anything I don't feel comfortable in. 

''I am sorry, I'm just not ready.'' 

''Look April, we made a deal and sex was not in the deal.'' 

''I guess.'' I tuck some pieces of my hair behind my ear. Max got up putting on his shirt and buckling up his pants, so he can head out this time. I smiled at Max as he was staring at me until he walked out of my room. I watched Max leave my room after we almost had sex with one another. I didn't text let alone call him after that happen because I felt like it would be awkward to talk about it. 

I was almost five months pregnant, and I needed Max to buy a bigger belly for me. I wrote it on my notebook to remind Max. Next day, I waited for Max since he picks me up, so we can walk together in the hallways to make Melissa jealous. Once I got to the car, I gave Max a light peck on his cheek, and he touched his cheek. 

''What? Did I do something wrong?'' I asked.

''No.'' He looked at me. 

''Ok.'' I sense something different about him since the thing that happen in my room. We didn't say anything to each other during the ride. We got to the school holding hands and smiling as we were walking down the hallways. Melissa didn't like what she sees when she saw us walking the hallways, so she approaches us, and I lean in for a kiss where Max turns his head. I ended giving him a peck on his cheek again, then he tells me he sees me after class because he needs to go to class himself. I went to class where Melissa was laughing as she entered into the classroom, the teacher asked her what was her problem? 

''Nothing, I am laughing because this girl thought she was going to kiss my man when he gave her the cheek.'' She looked at me as I entered the classroom. Something was off with Max, and I wanted to know what the fuck is wrong with him; I don't think he is mad because I won't fuck him. I told him I am not ready let alone I am not ready to lose it to him because I know he will be with Melissa once he gets tired of me.
