Chapter 27
-Lucy's P.O.V-
Bobby's hand rest on my thigh as he drove us back home. To our home. I snuck a quick glance at him, my handsome fiancé, fighting the urge to burst into happy tears there and then. I used my right hand to fiddle with the ring that now took residence on my left hand. It wasn't no big extravagant rock, just a band with a small diamond, simple, just like me and I loved it! Bobby pulled up and parked the car, hopping out of his side and rushing over to mine, helping me out of the car.
"Jesus it's cold" He hissed and hurriedly shut the door, grabbed my hand and headed to our front door; unlocking it.
"I'm changing straight into my pyjamas, I can't wait for bed" I said with a yawn.
"I'm right behind you baby girl" He muttered, hanging up his jacket and following me.
I sat down on the end of the bed and attempted to take off my heels. I huffed and gave up after five minutes. I groaned and lay back, my hands hanging above my head. I had been defeated by a pair of heels. This is the only part of pregnancy I hate.
I heard Bobby tut. I sat up as he kneeled down in front of me and took off my heels, slipping them off of my feet. He placed a small kiss on both of my legs before pulling me off of the bed, gently pushing me in front of the mirror. I felt his hands unzip my dress, the material falling straight off of my body, leaving me in my black lace underwear set. I leaned my head to the side slightly, staring at my swollen belly through the mirror. I closed my eyes and leant back into Bobby as his arms wrapped around me, his hands resting on my stomach.
"Pregnancy looks so good on you" He mumbled, his chin resting on my shoulder. "I can't wait to meet her"
"Neither can I" I turned my head slightly and pecked his lips. "Come on, let's go get a shower and get into bed"
"Shower..together? Let's go!" Bobby grabbed my hand and dragged me to the bathroom, I couldn't help but laugh out loud at his actions.
-
"So, how was prom?" I asked the girls. We all sat around the kitchen table with cups of coffee. I never use to be a coffee drinker but since being pregnant, it was a craving.
"Oh it was just perfect" Georgia stated, going off into la la land.
"I never knew Matthew could be so romantic, he looked so handsome in his suit" Ella told me.
"Speak for yourselves. Daniel was a complete douchebag!" Ali groaned.
"What happened?" I asked.
"He accused me of cheating on him. All because I was talking to a guy that I'm friends with" She explained. We all rolled our eyes.
"Men" we all muttered in unison.
"I'm sure you'll work it out" Ella said to her, giving her hand a light squeeze.
"I don't know if I want to. He's just being immature. I'm getting older. I need a man. Not a silly boy!"
"Did the cobras behave themselves at least?" I asked.
"They did shockingly, Tommy seemed to enjoy himself" Susan added.
"We all ended up going to Jimmys for a little party after to celebrate" Barbara said. "However, two people were missing" All of the girls turned to Lauren, who looked down at her cup. Her face bright red. I spat out my coffee.
"No!" I gasped.
"Yep!" She mumbled, still refusing to look at me.
"You and Johnny?" I asked in disbelief and she nodded.
-Bobby's P.O.V-
"Alright man!" I high fived Johnny. We were currently at his house and he just explained to us the night he spent with Lauren. For him, it wasn't just a one night stand, he really liked her.
"Told you you'd get lucky on prom night" Dutch joked.
"Shut up asshole!" Johnny spat.
"So now what?" Tommy asked curiously.
"We're gonna take it slow and see where it goes. She doesn't want to rush into anything" He told us. That made the most sense. Me and Lucy had been rooting for them to get together, I couldn't wait to go home and talk to her about this.
"How did your night go Bobby?" Jimmy asked.
"You can ask my fiancé when we get back to mine" I told them. Now a normal group of people would have got that instantly, not these dumb fucks. It took them a while to realise what I meant.
"What do you mean fiancé?" Dutch asked. "You need to ask someone to marry you before that can happen" I gave him a certain look, waiting for it to sink in.
"Dude! Congratulations" Johnny cheered, patting me on my shoulder. The others started to congratulate me.
"Damn a baby and a fiancé all by the time you finished school. You're doing really well in life" Tommy said.
"Yeah, I am" I proudly stated.
"Bobby's always been ten steps ahead of us" Jimmy spoke up.
Despite everything. My life really was perfect.
-Lucy's P.O.V-
The girls let out a loud scream, each of them rushing over to hug me and gawk at my ring. I wrapped my arms around Lauren, seeing she had began to cry.
"Why are you crying?" I asked, laughing slightly.
"Because you're my best friend and I love you and seeing you so happy...it's beautiful!" She cried. "They're happy tears I promise"
"Stop because you'll make me cry" I told her and wiped away her tears.
"When are we gonna start planning the wedding?" Susan asked.
"Not anytime soon" I told them, taking a seat once Lauren had stopped crying. "Me and Bobby are in no rush to get married. We plan on staying engaged for a while"
"You know what this calls for?" Georgia quizzed and we all turned to her. "Shopping!"
"Why does it call for shopping?" Barbara questioned. "She just said they're not wedding planning yet"
"Well I'm using it as an excuse so let's go!"
-
"Lucy you can get in with me I'll drive" Lauren said. I agreed and climbed into the passenger side.
"I don't trust Lauren's driving just yet so I'll climb in with Ella" Ali said, quickly getting into the back of Ella's car. Georgia already in with her. Susan and Barbara shared a look and climbed into the back of Ella's car as-well.
"Bitches" Lauren blurted out and I hollered, buckling my seat belt. Lauren rolled down the window and hung her head out.
"Lead the way, I'll follow you" She said to Ella who gave her a thumbs up.
Lauren turned up the radio and we began singing along to Madonna's 'Like A Virgin" The irony. I rolled down the window, letting the wind blow through my hair. My smile wide as I sang with Lauren.
"I wonder what they're talking about?" I questioned when the song finished and Lauren pulled up behind Ella at the traffic lights.
"Georgia's probably boring them with stories about her and Dutch" She said, tapping her hand on the steering wheel.
"More than likely" I agreed. "You need to give me all the details about you and Johnny later"
"Oh don't worry, I will!" Lauren winked over at me, we both couldn't contain our laughter.
The lights finally turn green and Ella pulled off, Lauren followed. Suddenly, everything turned black.
