Chapter 25

-Lucy's P.O.V-

"Do you have everything?" My mom asked teary eyed after she finished helping me put the last box into the car.

Me and Bobby thought it would be better to move in straight away before the birth of our little girl, so that we'd be more comfortable when the time came.

Breaking the news to my parents wasn't easy however. My mom wouldn't stop crying, my dad blamed Bobby for 'taking his little girl away'. It took hours for me, Bobby and Bobbys parents to make them see that this made the most sense. Finally, they helped me pack all of my stuff in the end.

"Yeah that's everything" I sniffed and used my sleeve to wipe away my tears. Part of me didn't want to leave home, I wasn't ready. But the other part knew that I had to move on from my family home in order to create a new one for mine.

"Are Bobby's parents going to help you when you get there?" She asked crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah, they're waiting for us at the house" I turned my head to the front door seeing Bobby and my dad walk out together. My heart warmed at Bobby's wide smile. My dad walked straight over to me and pulled me into a hug.

"I love you so much Lucy" He kissed the top of my head as I squeezed him. I let go and walked over to my mom.

"It's going to be so different without you" She spoke, her voice cracking.

"I'm only moving house don't worry, you can visit us anytime" I told her with a giggle. She let out a sigh and smiled, realising how silly she sounded. I said my goodbyes and walked to the passenger side of Bobby's car, he held the door open for me.

"Bobby!" We both turned quickly to face my dad. "Look after my little girl and granddaughter"

"Of course Roy!" Bobby answered. He waved to my parents before climbing into the car and starting the engine. "Are you ready to go home?"

"Let's go!" I grinned and kissed his cheek.

I walked over to the couch and handed Bobby another beer, this was only his second one. He sat talking to Johnny, Tommy, Dutch and Jimmy. I made my way back into the kitchen to the girls. It was Tommy's idea to have a little house warming party and we didn't have the heart to say no. Only the boys drank, the girls refused to, just so that I didn't feel left out.

"You're glowing" Lauren complimented and place her hand onto my stomach. "Hi baby, this is your auntie Lauren and I'm gonna be your favourite" I let out a little laugh and the others scoffed.

"Do you have a name for her yet?" Barbara asked grabbing a hand full of chips.

"We have a few in mind but we haven't decided yet" I told her. I poured myself and the girls a glass of coke.

"I'm sorry, I still can't believe that you are pregnant" Ella spoke. "Like, I see the bump and I've felt her kick but it doesn't feel real"

"Tell me about, I feel the exact same way" I replied.

"Have you noticed any changes?" Georgia questioned. I looked away and thought for a moment.

"My mood has, definitely. I feel so bad for Bobby because he has to deal with all of my mood swings. I take a lot of stuff out on him, even when he hasn't done anything" I pouted.

"And he still stays? What a gem!" Susan added causing us to burst into laughter.

"Let's go be nosy and see what they're talking about" Lauren said nodding her head into the direction of the sitting room.

We grabbed our glasses and made our way over to the boys. Dutch saw me heading over and quickly got up from where he sat, he grabbed my hand and helped me sit next to Bobby which I thanked him for. Dutch walked over and sat next to Georgia, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"How are you feeling?" Bobby asked, he bowed his head and kissed my stomach.

"I'm doing good" I sat back and rest my head on his shoulder as the group continued to talk.

"I can't wait for prom tomorrow" Barbara squealed and nudged Jimmy. The girls all agreeing with her..well all but Lauren.

"You don't seem too happy?" Bobby said to her. Everyone's attention turned to Lauren.

"I'm ummm not going" She muttered, sipping her drink.

"What why?" We all asked in unison.

"I don't have a date" She admitted. "No one asked me" I instantly felt bad. How could no one ask her to go?! She's a great girl. I saw Bobby look over at Johnny.

"Hey Lauren, you shouldn't miss prom because of that! Johnny doesn't have a date and he's still going" Dutch told her, trying to lift her spirits.

"It's not the same" she sulked, crossing her right leg over her left and leaned her head in the palm of her hand.

"Well, we could go together" Johnny suggested. "I mean, if you'd like?"

"Are you serious?" Her head shot up and she looked hopeful.

"Yeah, it might be fun" Johnny shrugged and sipped his beer.

"I'd love to go with you Johnny" Lauren beamed over at him and he smirked.

All year I had been looking forward to going to prom. Since my bump grew however, my mind changed. I knew that if I went, I'd stick out like a sore thumb. So sadly, me and Bobby will not be going to the prom. I tried to hide my sadness, but Bobby saw right through it. He knew me too well.

"I'm sad you guys aren't going to be there" Georgia spoke up.

"It's no big deal" I mumbled.

"No big deal? It's prom!" Tommy blurted out causing Susan to smack him on the forehead. "Ow!"

"Tommy you really need to learn when to not speak" Jimmy told him, shaking his head in disappointment.

"We don't need to go to prom" Bobby said. "Want me to take you to dinner instead?" Cue mood swing number one of the night. My head slowly turned towards him and I scowled.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"I said do you want me to take you to dinner instead?" Bobby repeated, I could see the sweat begin to form on his brow and the nervousness growing on his face.

"Why? Because you think I'm fat?" I questioned. "I knew you had been lying to me!"

"Oh lord here we go" Dutch muttered and turned away.

"Now you've done it" Johnny sighed.

"What? No baby I just thought that...you know...because we're not going.." I raised my eyebrow at him as he tried to explain himself. "I'd treat you to a date instead"

"Lucy he honestly doesn't mean anything by it" Ella added. I looked back and forth between her and Bobby and calmed down.

"Oh" I whispered. "I'm sorry. I'd love to go to dinner with you" I innocently smiled over at Bobby who stared at me wide eyed, almost like he feared for his life. Whoops....my bad.
