Chapter 2
-Lucy's P.O.V-
I gazed up at the sky watching the sun set, it was beautiful. The earth really is God's greatest creation. Once I had dried off I put my blue denim shorts back on, along with my off the shoulder T-shirt, it was little baggy on me but I liked it. A gift from Bobby. I don't know how, but we managed to start a little fire once the breeze started to come in, sitting around it. Lauren lay her head on my shoulder, listening to Georgia tell us about her relationship with Dutch.
"Sometimes he can be so distant" She told us, pulling her knee's up to her chest.
"Have you told him how you feel?" Barbara asked pulling on her jacket.
"Yeah right" Georgia snorted and we all snickered. "This is Dutch we're talking about"
"It's like once they have you, they think they don't have to try anymore" Ella added, referring to her boyfriend Matthew.
"Right?!" Georgia blurted out.
"This is why I'm single" Lauren joked.
"Tommy tries sometimes still but other times he's all for his cobras" Susan said.
"Jimmy too" Barbara sulked. They all turned to me.
"Bobby hasn't changed, sorry ladies I can't complain. He's great" I proudly stated.
"How long has it been now?"
"2 months" I sat up and poked the fire, keeping it lit. I smiled, remembering when me and Bobby first got together.
"You got lucky" Ella spoke.
I looked over at Ali who was being oddly quiet. I caught her glancing back at the mysterious boy every now and then. He and his friends sat across from us and had made their own fire.
I felt terrible for Ali. A couple of weeks ago, she ended it with Johnny. He got wasted with the guys and completely forgot about her birthday. Now I know it seems a little petty, but I think it was the boiling point for her. Johnny had been acting out a lot more lately, brushing her off, forgetting dates. Missing her birthday was the final straw. I know it killed her to end the relationship.

The sun finally disappeared, the atmosphere became calm and peaceful. 'It takes two to tango' by Paul Davis playing softly in the background on Ali's radio. Susan pulled out a bag of marshmallows that we each began toasting over the fire.
We heard a lot of commotion and laughing coming from the group of boys, we all looked over. Freddy grabbed the ball and quickly kicked it over to us. All of us flinching as the ball hit Ali's radio and rolled over to Susan. She picked it up and threw it over to Ali, clearly who it was meant for.
"Go give it back" I encouraged with a wide smile. The other girls joining in.
"Someone come with me" She asked.
"Oh shut up and get over there!" Ella told her. Ali giggled and stood up with the ball. Walking over to the mysterious boy she couldn't keep her eyes off of.
"Hey did you lose something?" I heard her say. I went back to toasting my marshmallow and chatting with Lauren.
-Bobby's P.O.V-
Me and the guys began hooting and hollering as our motorcycles came to a stop on the hill overlooking the beach. We finished karate practice for the day and Dutch dared us all to ride extremely fast without our helmets. He said we'd enjoy the thrill and he was right. Lucy would kill me if she knew.
"That was awesome!" Johnny exclaimed with a wide smile. I put my foot on the ground keeping my bike balanced.
"Brew time man!" Tommy exclaimed. He reached into makeshift carrier and pulled out a beer. "Who's for a warm one? here you go"
"No I pass man" Johnny told him when Tommy held it out to him.
"Hey Bobby?"
"No thanks pal" I politely declined. He handed it to Jimmy instead. I kicked down my kick stand and rested my left arm on the handles.
"Johnny who are you kidding you're still the ace degenerate" Tommy said.
"No ex degenerate man! Eight am tomorrow I'm a senior. I got one year to make it all work! And that's what I'm gonna do, make it work" I listened carefully and nodded my head in agreement with Johnny's new mindset. "All of it right?" Johnny turned to me.
"That's right man!" I gave him a high five and we both cheered.
"Hey you must be a trendsetter Johnny, looks like everyone's doing something new!" Tommy yelled over our engines. Johnny quickly turned to him, a smile still on his face.
"What?" He asked.
"Take a right, check it out"
We all looked down onto the beach. My eyes instantly finding my curly haired beauty sat with the girls, laughing at something one of them said. I hadn't seen her all day. My eyes then travelled to the scene next to them. Ali stood with some boy, trying to juggle a ball as he held her. She fell back into him, both of them landing on the sand. I saw Johnny's face. This is not good. Why did Tommy have to say anything. He knew Johnny wasn't over Ali.
"Hey Johnny forget it man, it's ancient history" I said, trying my best to keep him calm.
"Who told you man?" I could feel the jealousy radiating off of Johnny. Shit!
"Johnny!" I yelled, he quickly put on his helmet. This is not good.
"Hey man I thought they broke up?" Jimmy asked.
"She did, he didn't" Tommy laughed. I desperately looked back at the others for help. But it was too late. Johnny already revving his engine.
-Lucy's P.O.V-
Lauren nudged me and pointed to the path that led towards the hill. I heard the roar of multiple motorcycles coming down the path that led to the beach. Johnny stopped directly next to us, I rolled my eyes. This couldn't be anything good. Susan got up, running straight over to Tommy, Georgia went to speak to Dutch. I spotted the blue Cobra Kai jacket and stood up, taking my marshmallow with me. He pushed past Freddy and his friends.
"Hey!" I whined as Bobby bent down took my marshmallow into his mouth. "That was mine" I giggled.
"It's mine now, besides it looks like you have more over there" He smirked, wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me. "I missed you"
"I missed you too" I smiled up at him. "How was karate?"
"Same old, who's that?" Bobby nodded over to the new boy.
"I have no idea" I answered.
"You promise you'll talk to me?" We heard Johnny say.
We both slowly walked over to them, Bobby's hands entangled with mine as he stood behind me, holding me close. Johnny handed Ali her radio back. She smugly smiled up and him and pressed play, music blaring out. Johnny angrily snatched the radio from Ali's hands, throwing it to the ground. I stood in shock.
"Did you just break my radio?!" Ali angrily asked giving Johnny a hard shove.
"Yeah" Johnny mumbled.
"Yeah" Ali muttered back glaring at Johnny. I watched the new boy walk over to pick up the broken radio. I shook my head at him but he didn't see.
"Don't touch it punk!" Johnny spat, oh god. I glanced over at the other girls who watched on from where they sat. Susan and Georgia held onto Tommy and Dutch. Ali told the boy to just 'let him have it' I could see her growing nervous for him.
"What are you deaf?" Johnny said, walking closer to him. He snatched the radio from the boys hands causing him to jump a little in shock.
"Oh man, what's going on?" The boy asked. His accent as adorable. Judging from the small smile on his face he didn't see any harm from him picking up the radio.
"You want it?" Johnny asked with a sarcastic smile.
"Yeah, just give.."
"You got it!" Johnny shoved the radio hard into the boys chest, he fell back into the sand. Johnny pushed Ali into Dutch and Tommy, the both held a firm grip on her. All of the cobras, except Bobby started to cheer Johnny on. The boy jumped back up and ran at Johnny, who effortlessly tripped him up. I heard Bobby laughing from behind me, I turned and glared, that seemed to shut him up.
"Johnny stop it will you? Just leave him!" Ali angrily yelled. This was wrong. The kid didn't do anything to him.
"Johnny don't!" I yelled and tried to walk over to him. Bobby quickly wrapped his arms around my waist, tightly holding me.
"Don't, don't get involved" Bobby whispered into my ear.
"But this is wrong" I argued back. I could hear Ali pleading with Johnny to leave the boy alone, Johnny arguing that he didn't do anything. He began to mock the boy before delivering a kick straight into the boys stomach. He fell to the ground in pain. I watched on horrified.
"Look you started this! All I wanted to do was talk to you" Johnny pointed a finger at Ali as he spoke.
"Well just leave him alone and we'll go talk" Ali said, trying to get him to stop.
"Yeah where did I hear that before?" Johnny sarcastically asked and waked back over to the boy.
"Stop! Leave him alone, that's enough!" I screamed, Johnny turned to me and smirked before staring back at the boy. "How about you hero, you had enough?" I silently cheered as the boy got up and sucker punched Johnny straight in the nose.
"Okay man! Now we're even huh?" The boy got up and raised his arms out. I heard Johnny mutter no mercy, the cobras also started to chant it. Bobby turned me around and held my head against his chest. I flinched, hearing every hit Johnny delivered to the poor boy.
Bobby released his grip on me and I turned my head, seeing the boy laying face down in the sand. I heard Ali arguing and yelling at Johnny. I stood with both my hands covering my mouth, staring down helplessly at the boy. I wanted to cry for him.
"Come on" Bobby grabbed my hand and pulled me away. I walked past Johnny. I glared over at him and he noticed.
"What?" He asked.
"You make me sick!" I spat.
"Oh shut up bitch" Johnny muttered. Clearly still in a mood. If he was thinking straight, he wouldn't have called me that.
"Watch your mouth Johnny" Bobby warned, taking a step closer. Johnny looked between me and Bobby and nodded before climbing on his bike. "I'm gonna go with the guys"
"Okay" I mumbled. Bobby placed both hands on my cheeks and lifted my head, capturing my lips with his.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow. I love you" He kissed my forehead, before walking away.
"I love you too" I said. He turned back and winked before climbing into his bike and ridding off.
Lauren came over to me to let me know that we were leaving. I looked back at the poor boy and shook my head. What a shit way to end the last day of summer.
