Avni : Sab kuch itna achaa tha na neil....TOH PHIR AISA KYA HUA THA....KI TUM BINA MUJHE BATAYE.....SAB KUCH YUHI CHHOD KE CHALE GAYE........?

she asked with emotions filled eyes, looking deep in his eyes.....

Neil : It happened at that karaoke night Avni...he said looking at her

Avni narrowed her eyes at him, she remembered the day before their marriage, when they went to a karaoke night. Neil wants to give her a surprise that night.

Neil : Avni tumhe yaad hai....main tumhe surprise dena chahta tha. Uss din hum ek club me gye the...karaoke night ke liye....

*Flashback......*

Neil and avni were sitting in a car, all dressed up for a party. Neil was taking her somewhere

Avni : Neil....hum kaha jaa rhe hai....? Kal humari shaadi hai...or aaj tum aise achanak mujhe kaha le jaa rhe ho...?

Neil : Ohho avni just wait na....bas hum pahuchne wale hai...

And soon they reached a grand 5 star club. Neil held her hands and they both entered inside.

When they entered, Avni was surprised, as it was a karaoke night.

Neil has already booked a table for them. They sat on their place. Avni looked all around , it was a beautiful place.

Neil : You liked the place ? Neil asked sitting opposite her and holding her hands....

Avni smiled and nodded

Avni : It is beautiful neil... she said looking at him

Neil : But surprise abhi baaki hai.... he said and winked at her...

Avni got confused. She looked at him strangely. And before she could ask anything.....there was an announcement.....

"Now ladies and gentleman, we have a special performance tonight...Presented by NEIL KHANNA for his would be wife AVNI. (people started clapping)

Avni got surprised hearing this, She looked at Neil with surprised eyes....

Host : Neil can we have you on stage ? he announced

Neil smiled.....and went on the stage. Avni was feeling very special and was very excited.

Neil held the mic and said....

Neil : Hello everyone....I am Neil. And the girl sitting right there (he said pointing at Avni) is my life, my pride and my soon to be wife. he announced proudly.

Everyone looked at Avni, and she was blushing. This was a moment for her when she felt extremely special and blessed.

She then slowly looked up at Neil lovingly. Neil looked at her and they saw each other.

Avni smiled, she sat their and waited for him to sing.

Neil started singing.

He was singing a song and avni was adoring him sing.

He completed the song and looked at Avni.

Suddenly everyone started applausing for Neil. They loved him sing.

Someone from audience said...
"Wow...you sings so well. Aap bohot achaa gaate ho..."

Neil was very happy. He felt really peaceful from inside listening people appreciating him and his voice.It was a moment of pride for neil.

Avni joined him on stage and hugged him tight. Neil smiled and hugged her back.  He kissed her hairs. (everyone clapped for them )
Avni was feeling proud of him. It was the best moment for both of them.

Flashback ends......

Neil : Uske baad humne kuch time spend kiya, or fir hum vha se chle gaye the. Tum bohot thak gayi thi....maine tumhe tumhare ghar drop kiya, or main apne ghar jaa hi rha tha ki mujhe ek call ayaa...

Avni : Call..? Kaisa call...? avni asked being confused

Neil : I don't know vo kiska call tha. Unhone mujhe vapis uss club me aane ko kaha. Mujhe kuch smjh nhi aaya, to main chala gaya. I thought it must be something important.

Or vha jaake mujhe pta chla ki it was him... "The Vishal Kapoor". Industry ke famous music director and producer.

He...he was present there at that time. Unhone mujhe suna gaate hue. Or unhe mera song bohot achaa lga...

Main unse mila....or unhone mujhse kaha...

Flashback begins -

Neil : Sir...aap ? Maine aapke songs sune hai....I...i am huge fan sir...I cant believe main...yha aapke saamnr......he said as he got starstruck seeing him...

Vishal :  Neil....mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai...Sit with me.

he said and neil sat, then he said...

Vishal : Maine tumhara song suna neil....main aksar aise clubs me aata rehta hu.....new talent ki talaash me. Or aaj tunhara song sunke mujhe itne dino baad koi acha singer mila hai....

Neil got shocked....He didn't beleive he heard that....

Vishal : Haan neil....tumhari aawaaz me sukoon hai, sachaai hai....or aisi awaaz bohot rare hoti hai. Tumhare andar bohot talent hai Neil.....tum kaafi aage tak jaoge....

It was unbelievable for neil. He was looking all surprised. He didnt know how to react. He felt like he acheived everything. He saw his dream coming true..

Neil : Th...thank you so much sir. Aap nhi jaante , ye sunne ke liye maine kitna struggle kiya hai, kitna wait kiya hai...Lekin aaj, aaj mujhe lag rha hai mere saare sapne pure ho jayenge....
Meri fiance ye sunke bohot khush hogi sir.....Avni ye sunke bohot khush hogi... he was very happy and excitedly.

Vishal : Wait Neil...Tumhari shadi hone wali ? Tum shaadi karne wale ho...? he asked to him strangely

Neil looked at him and answered

Neil : H..haan sir...Infact kal hi meri shaadi hai. Aaj main yha apni fiance ke saath hi aaya tha....usi ke liye surprise tha ye sab.

he was very happy and hell excited. He started dreaming at that moment,
He thought his each n every dream will be fulfilled....

(But he didn't knew that his dream, has a Cost to it...!)

Vishal : Sorry Neil...TUM SHAADI NHI KAR SAKTE.... he said bringing a sudden shock for neil.....

Neil's face expressions changed....he was taken aback.....

Vishal : Dekho Neil....industry me naam kamane ke liye ek achi awaaz ke sath sath or bhi bohot kuch chahiye hota haiii.....
Tumhe kya lagta hai ye saare famous celebrities aise hi bane hai....bohot kuch khona padta hai....bohot kuch sacrifice karna padta hai...Tab jaake sapne pure hote hai....

Neil didnt understand what he was saying.....he was shocked and taken aback....he kept on listening

Vishal : Neil, tumhe dekhke mujhe lga ki tum ek singing sensation bann sakte ho. Tumme voh baat haii..... Aawaz ke sath sath tumhare paas achi shakal bhi hai. You are handsome, You are charming.

Or aise me tum croro logo ka dil jeet sakte ho.....YOU CAN CREATE MAGIC ON THE STAGE NEIL.

Lekin ek already married singer, voh magic create nhi kar sakta..... Logon ko ek heartthrobe bachelor chahiye neil. Or isi se trp aati hai, Tum samajh rhe ho na main kya kehna chah rha hu.....? he said

Neil could not process what is happening. The moment for which he waited so long was here, but for that he need to sacrifice his love.

Neil : B..but sir ye..ye kaise ho sakta hai...? K...kal meri shaadi hai....Main ye nhi kar sakta..
Or....or Avni....No Sir...main avni ke sath ye nhi kar sakta....main avni ko dhoka nhi de sakta.
Use mujhpar kitna bharosa hai.....ek vahi toh hai jo hamesha mera saath deti hai, or main ek pal me uska haath kaise chodd du...?
No sir...I....I am Sorry. he said looking down....neil had tears in his eyes.

Only he knows how he said that, keeping a stone at his heart.

He turned around and was walking away......

But then.....

Vishal :  Soch lo neil, tumhe apne sapne pure karne hai, toh avni ka haath chhodna hoga, usse bhulna hoga...apne pyaar ko sacrifice karna hoga......
SOCH LO NEIL....YE MAUKA SAB KO NAHI MILTA.  he said loudly

and with that neil stopped......!

Flashback ends.

Neil and Avni both had tears in their eyes, while sitting on the bench.

Avni unknowingly got tears listening all this, while neil was crying feeling embarresed and guilty.

Neil : I am sorry Avni....I am really very sorry. Main saham gaya tha uss waqt....
Uss ek pal me mujhe sab bikharta hua dikhayi diya...Aisa laga ki...ki agar maine ye mauka haath se jaane diya, toh main hamesha regret krunga....Main regret me nhi jeena chahta tha avni.
Itne mahino se maine sirt ek cheez maangi thi, ek mauka...ek chance.

Or jab mujhe vo ek chance mila to main kuch or nhi soch payaa. Mere liye aasan nhi tha Avni, sab kuch ek pal me chhod dena. Par apne sapne ke aage mujhe kuch nhi dikha....

I am sorry avni.....I am sorry... neil held avni's hands and cried. He begged in front of her. He apolozised with his whole heart......He was completely shattered and has realised his mistake.

Avni had tears in her eyes. Neil was crying in front of her, holding her both the hands. She still can't see him crying like that.

She knew that it was not his fault. She knew that how badly he wanted his dream. She knew that his dream was his everything, his life.
And she herself always wanted him to fulfil his dream.

Avni slowly carressed his face...she was wiping his tears. While neil was not looking in her eyes.....

Avni smiled and said....

Avni : Jaante ho Neil, Main khush thi.....ki tumne,apne sapne ko chuna.
Tumne voh sapna pura kiya , jo sirf tumne nhi....balki maine bhi dekha tha, tumhare liye.......she said emotionally

Neil stopped crying hearing this, he slowly looked up in her eyes...

Avni :  Haan neil, Bura iss baat ka nhi lga tha......ki tum mujhse shadi krne nhi aaye....Balki Bura iss baat ka lga tha...ki tumne mujhe iss capable hi nhi smjha....ki apni feelings mere sath share kar sako......she said with soft tears in her eyes.

Neil was looking in her eyes...

Avni continued.....

Avni : Tum ek baar kehte toh sahi neil....MAIN KHUD TUMHE JAANE KO KEHTI.
Main kabhi tumhare sapno ke beech nahi aati neil...or khushi-khushi tumse dur ho jaati...kabhi tumhare paas nhi aati.

She said and tears fell from her eyes.....

Neil saw her tears, he held her hands and said...

Neil : Or yahi meri galti thi Avni....Maine yahin galti kar di..
I was so stupid....I was so dumb. Mujhe uss time smjh hi nhi aaya ki kya thik hai or kya nhi.....! Mujhe sirf voh ek chance dikha.....jise main...main khona nhi chahta tha.....main khona nhi chahta tha Avni....

Avni jerked and left his hands. She looked down and wiped her own tears.

Neil : Lekin Avni....i....i swear.....I never stopped loving you. I NEVER.

Har din tumse pyaar kiya....tumhe yaad kiya.....Bas farak itna tha....ki...ki hum saath nhi the....

Maine kabhi kisi or ke baare me nhi socha...kabhi nhi....Tumse dur zarur tha, par mera dil sirf yahi tha... MAIN TAB BHI TUMHARA THA AVNI, OR AAJ BHI, SIRF TUMHARA HUN.

Avni listened and cried more looking down....
