"Shelly came back! Shelly ca-ame ba-ack!! Hipp hipp huuraah!!! " I jumped about in my room like a teenager. She would call me from somewhere!! She had to!

I love that woman so so so much! She's my little woman! My tiny darling!

After soo many days of Stephen will she remember me though?

Ofcourse she has to! I'M HER HUSBAND. She ca-me back!

"Knock knock " Someone waste pounding my door.

-" Who's that?" I said with as much rudeness as I could gather.

" Why are you jumping like a hooligan??! The neighbours have come to complain!" My mother shouted from behind the door.

Oops! I'd tell them something about something falling probably, I'm a grown man.. I wouldn't jump.. Everyone knew that.

Shelly's Pov

My teeth tittered, and my legs were all jittery. My mother had scolded me throughout the car journey and my dad asked Stephen to come to our house as soon as possible.

They reprimanded me and kept asking questions about how this happened. I was never able to give a proper answer, I never thought so much.

" Who started it?" they asked..

I couldn't tell them that he started it, they'd fire him! Hit me as they may I would have to protect him.

So I lied. Told them that I didn't know, told them that it didn't matter, they forced me into the bedroom where I was stationed until the bell resounded.

I was slow at the reception and I found Stephen sitting at one side, my parents in the other. I was made to sit on a chair parallel to Stephen.

" So, it has come to our notice. Shelly's mother's and mine that you have some physical contact so to call it with Shelly?" my dad asked, outright.

-" Yes sir "

-" Who started this kind of... "

-" That's hard to ascertain sir! " he interjected. " She's young and it happens, I couldn't resist either "

My eyes widened, what was he trying to say? Tears flowed through and my chest hurt. Did he put the blame, the entire blame on me?

" So she started it?" my father asked him again.

" Can't say that sir, but.."

My dad stopped him with a hand," It's okay.. " then turning to me his voice turned more fierce, " Do you agree?"

I looked down.

" Do you agree Shelly Williams? "

Shelly Hamilton. The thought automatically struck me as I corrected him. My father, my own one who's surname was used by me had given me nothing else. Cared but only superficially. What use had I of his surname?

Then another thought. What If Jake after knowing what happened didn't take me back? My Jake?

This thought made me lose control and I sobbed harder.

My father mistaking it for a yes, conceded to Stephen. " You may leave now Stephen. I am very fond of you but we'll discuss this matter a little further at your convenience so that I can determine whether you may come to work on Monday or whether we part our ways "

I looked at the pain my father's blue eyes held. He loved Stephen I knew. I'd have to make it upto him somehow! I would just have to.

But first would be Jake.

I watched Stephen leave from my balcony. The afternoon sun mocking my gloomy spirit.

My parents after casting a dirty look left the room, for me to ponder whether it was the last time I saw Stephen who had managed to capture my heart in only a few days.

I heard a dinstinct, " Whore" from my mother as she shut the door blocking my entry into the room.

I had to bear the pain with a smile and smile I did amidst the tears.
