Chapter 6

Still Gon's POV:

The line pulled forward, sending Gon flying through the air. "GON!" Killua screamed. "Killua!! It's really big I didn't think it would-" His words were cut off when he plummeted into the water, still with a firm grip on his fishing rod, with the big fish on the end of it, dragging him all throughout the water. Gon felt something grab his leg, and turned around in terror, and he realized it was Killua.

Killua hauled Gon out of the water, bringing the fish along with it. Killua laid him down on a rock and went to move the fish further from the water so it wouldn't get back in. Gon laid there gasping for air and breathing heavily. He was a little too late and hesitant on reeling in the fish, but he didn't expect all of that to happen.

Killua stood at Gon's side with a concerned look on his face, "Gon are you alright?" Gon stared into his eyes, they were a very pretty blue, like the ocean, or shimmering sapphires... Gon nodded. "Okay, good.." Killua said, sitting down next to him.

Gon took his recovery time to think about Killua.

He pulled me and the fish out of the water so fast, and it seemed really easy to him. Just how strong was Killua, and why? He felt like asking how, but he didn't want to be nosy and make Killua feel uncomfortable, so he would just try and figure it out himself. For whatever reason, he couldn't shake the feeling- the hunch that it was something to do with Killua's family.

Killua's POV:

"Hey Gon..." Killua asked. "Yeah?" Gon responded almost immediately. "What kind of fish even was that? Can you tell?" Gon sat up and walked over to the fish, and Killua followed him. "I can't tell, and it's a lot smaller than I thought. How can such a tiny fish be so strong?! Man I feel stupid now!" Killua giggled. "Don't feel like that, that fish is really heavy, try picking it up."

Killua watched as Gon reached down and grabbed the fish, using two hands. "Oh my gosh!" He dropped the fish. "And Gon.." "Yeah?" "Maybe you should be more careful when you're fishing... if I wasn't here... what would have happened?"

Gon's face froze in realization. "I probably would have had to let go of the fishing rod." Gon said sadly. "Or also you could have died!" Killua exclaimed with concern. He didn't understand how Gon took all of that so lightly. "And usually I don't fish on the ground, I'm usually up in a big tree it helps me a lot. And at a different pond."

Killua was confused, "Wait then why'd we go to this pond??" "Because it's closer." Gon shrugged, "But we should have found another pond because this one has really heavy fish apparently."

He seemed to not care about the fact that he just almost died. It was as if he was thinking about something else. "Killua...." Gon said out of nowhere, and very shyly. "Yeah??" "I... I was kind of wondering this for a long time but... and if this is mean or makes you feel uncomfortable or anything just tell me to shut up." "Okay..." Killua said anxiously. "Can you... like tell me a bit more about your family, and like who you are??" Gon asked very fast and carefully. Killua froze.

What am I supposed to do? I don't want to lie to him... but if he knows the truth, he might want to leave me..

But then again... he seems to already be onto my case about it and would probably find out soon anyways, being as smart and observant as he is. If he finds out that way, he'll feel even worse since I hid it from him

And if he decides that he doesn't want to hang out with me... that's his choice, in the end.

"Okay.." Killua said reluctantly. "I'm going to say it all at once, and it might be a bit hard to take in or understand okay?" "Okay," Gon accepted.

"I come from a family of assassins. My grandpa, my mom, my dad, my brothers, my sister, all of us are assassins." To his surprise, Gon didn't move away or scream or anything, he looked more interested than anything else. "My family doesn't want me to have friends because they think it makes me worse of an assassin, but honestly I don't care. I don't even want to be an assassin. I don't want my life all planned out for me, I want to be independent and make my own choices, and do what I want, and be with whoever I want..." He paused.

"I know you'll ask about my strength and all next, it's just lots of training, pretty simple.." Gon looked at him, he didn't even seem scared. "Oh, okay then.. and I know what you're thinking, that now that you told me I'll run away. But I still want to be with you Killua! I want to be with you forever, no matter what tries to get in my way!"

Killua blushed and looked at the pond, avoiding eye contact. "But if my family knew about you... well more about you... they'd kill you," Killua said in a sad and worried tone. "Then at least I'll die fighting for what I want!" Gon said with a great sense of pride. Killua blushed even more.

"S-stop it's embarrassing!" Gon laughed, and it could have just been the light from the sunset, but Killua was pretty sure he saw Gon blushing as well, which didn't help his own tomato face at all.

The sunset...

"We should probably go back, it's getting late." Killua reminded Gon. "Yeah, or else we'll be late for dinner! C'mon!" "What about the fish are we bringing it?" Killua asked. He didn't think it was right to just have killed the fish and left it there, not eating it and just leaving it dead, which was quite ironic, given the fact that he was an assassin. "Sure, can you carry it? I don't think I'd be able to." "Sure thing!"

Killua picked up the fish and ran with Gon back to the house. Gon opened the door. "Hi Aunt Mito! We're back!" Aunt Mito came up to the door, "You guys are back just in time for dinner, did you catch anything???" Gon stepped aside and Killua showed her the fish with a great sense of pride. Aunt Mito's eyes went wide "You guys caught that?" They nodded. "Yeah, it was really heavy. We were wondering what kind of fish it was, do you know??"

"Are you guys okay?" Aunt Mito asked. "Yeah, it flung me into the water but Killua came and pulled us out!" Aunt Mito look horrified and surprised. "Wow. How were you able to do that?" Killua sat there, and Gon jumped into the conversation. "He's really strong!" "I know that much, given he was able to pull you out.. but I asked how."

Killua shifted uncomfortably and stared at the wall, looking at the pictures that were there. There were lots of pictures of one particular guy, his hair looked a lot like Gon's. Is that his dad, maybe? "Killua.." Gon's voice brought Killua back to his attention. "Can we talk alone for a minute?" "Sure." They stepped out of earshot of Aunt Mito. "What is it?" Killua whispered. "What should we do about the fact that you were able to carry me and the fish?" Gon asked him. "I can just say I'd rather not say." Killua suggested.

"But that's really suspicious-" Gon said. "This is already suspicious though." "Hmm, I guess you're right." They walked back over to Aunt Mito. "So..? Can you answer my question?" Her tone of voice wasn't exactly harsh, but full of suspicion and concern, but it seemed angry, it was hard to describe it with words. "I don't really feel comfortable talking about it.." Killua said, still looking at the ground. "Okay then, come eat dinner you two. Killua you can put the fish over here."

He walked over and put the fish where Aunt Mito indicated, then went and sat next to Gon and they ate dinner.

It was probably the most delicious food he ever ate. After dinner, they went back up to Gon's room. "What do you want to do now??" Killua asked Gon. "Hmmm I don't know, I'm gonna look on my computer for any ideas maybe.

Gon's POV:

Hmmm let's see... fun game ideas for sleepover with a friend... lets see what pulls up. He clicked on the first list that popped up, and Killua just looked around the room, getting familiar with the area probably. Truth or Dare, I know that one, Would you Rather... Seven Minutes in Heaven, we don't have enough people for that... what's this? It looks interesting.. (Pocky Challenge. Why? Because I cannnnn :D)

"Killua I have an idea now!" Gon exclaimed. Killua walked over to the computer and saw what Gon was looking at. "Oh-" Killua blushed. "You know what it is?" Gon asked him. "Y-y-yeah.." "Okay let's play it, lemme go get some pocky sticks from downstairs. He went downstairs, Killua stayed in the room that time, which was odd. He thought of earlier, before he left the room when Killua was blushing, and Gon felt his own face start to turn red.

I'm pretty sure it's just the fact of how the game works, he probably doesn't like- like me or anything like that... but how do I feel.. whenever I'm around him I get filled with excitement. I'm a very excited person, but I'm like OVERFLOWING when I'm with him. But we're both guys- I thought that it was like boys and girls. But what else would this feeling be?

It probably doesn't matter... he probably doesn't feel the same way as me anyways.

He raided the kitchen and went back upstairs. "Killua I'm back!" "Took you long enough," Killua said jokingly. "Sorry I'm not sonic the hedgehog like you let's start." Gon said, laughing. They both kind of sat there awkwardly. "Okay so.... umm..." Killua said. Gon put a pocky stick in Killua's mouth. "I said let's start." Gon smiled.

I know having that as the last line in the chapter sounds very weird (or at least to me sorry it's how I am TwT) but this chapter is getting kinda long and I haven't done any of my schoolwork like I said I would but hey I got to work on my story but I'm gonna go do my schoolwork... probably... I know that's what I said last time but... okay I have no good argument.

I know you guys are probably excited for the next chapter (or maybe not because I don't think anybody reads this ;-;) so I'll try and do that as soon as I can. Thanks.

:)
