Chapter 4
I'm writing this in class I don't know why I never thought of that idea but yay. Anyways, on with the story.
Killua's POV:
He stood outside the school entrance, waiting for Gon to arrive. I hope he doesn't crash into me again... maybe I should just move from right around the corner in the shadow, since that's how it happened. Killua stepped out from the shadow, which also gave him a better view so he could look around for Gon. He waited a few more minutes and finally, he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"KILLUAAAAAAAAAAA!" Gon squealed as he ran up to Killua. Killua smiled. "Gon!" he replied. He was excited to see him, and his heart was fluttering, he's never had that happen before. He felt all warm, fuzzy, and excited inside. It was weird. He never had a friend... but he kind of did, and this didn't feel anything like that.
Whenever he saw his other friend, Canary, he never felt like that. It's probably because my family is always around. Gon can't just be more than a friend... I- I'm not gay- His thoughts stopped. How would he even know he wasn't? He had spent pretty much all his life in his house. And it might even be the opposite, maybe if he weren't gay, assuming he was, somehow, all that time around Canary surely would lead to love right?
He decided, once again, to ignore it. Even if it were that way, my family would make it impossible.
Gon's POV:
Gon looked at Killua, he seemed to be zoned off in his own world of thoughts. Gon wondered if he should take him away from that world and bring him back to his attention, or just take the time to look at him... or- uh just let him think.
"Killua?" Gon asked. His new friend snapped back to reality. "Yeah?" Gon looked at his friend, a few minutes ago he looked so excited and happy, with a wide smile across his beautiful face, and his smile was still there, but it seemed a little forced now. "Are you okay?"
"Huh- of course I am!" Killua said, with a little bit of worriedness and hostility, "Let's just.. let's just go to class." Killua started walking towards their first class, and Gon stood there.
I wonder what's wrong... he's definitely not okay.. "Gon are you coming?!" "Yeah! Right behind you!" Gon followed after Killua, his thoughts still roaming. Is it something wrong with me??
Killua's POV:
He thought about Gon all throughout his classes, trying not to look at him too much, or too obviously. He wondered if he could get the teacher to let the class rearrange seats. It might be a little suspicious, but then again, people ask for that all the time. He decided it wasn't worth the risk, and the warm fluttery feeling was stronger the closer Gon was.
He didn't not like the feeling, but he'd never felt it before, and it made him feel a little weird. Maybe he could use a reverse dictionary later to find out what it all meant... but what if it meant something that he just couldn't accept, because of his family? "Killua." the teacher said. Killua sat up as fast as he could. "Y-yeah?" "Did you hear me?"
"Um- uh- no.." Killua panicked. "Do you know the answer?" Killua looked at the whiteboard in the front of class. The problem was, "What is 60n when n = 3"
60n..
All Killua could see was "Gon."
3 Gons???? Would that multiply the feeling by 3- just thinking about it made the feeling get stronger and he started to squirm uncomfortably in his seat, not being able to find a good position to sit in.
"Gon." The teacher said, giving Killua a mini heart attack. "Do you know the answer?"
"180!" It was then that Killua realized that the problem said "60n" and not "Gon" But even then, he wasn't sure if he would've been able to get the answer correct.
Gon got that answer so fast...
Gon's POV:
Killua is acting kinda weird today... He didn't know the answer in math class, he was staring at Gon most of the class, and when they met up at the entrance that day he acted really strange. He knew something was wrong with Killua, and he wanted to help. So he was going to find out.
<Lunch Time>
Gon sat under the tree, waiting for Killua to show up. He sat for a while more, still no Killua. It's been 10 minutes. Gon sniffed the air, hoping to smell the sweet, familiar scent of Killua, and he did, he looked around confused. The next second, Killua was falling from the sky. "AAAH!" Gon screamed in terror. "Haha!" Killua's voice laughed in pure amusement.
"Y-you just fell from the sky???!" Gon asked, confused. "No, silly!" Killua answered, "I was hiding in the tree!" "Not nice, you scared me!" Gon said with a pouty face, "And I sat here waiting for you the whole time!!" Killua laughed, and Gon swatted at him, which Killua dodged with ease.
This took Gon by surprise, Gon was really fast, with running, writing, hitting, climbing, everything. Nobody ever really dodged him before, even some people, bullies, who tried to hurt him before, and one time he even beat someone trying to kidnap him.
Gon stared in bewilderment. "Something wrong?" Killua asked him. "You're really fast!" Gon said in awe. Killua looked shocked, as if Gon had unveiled one of his biggest secrets.
Killua's POV:
Killua stood in shock. He was surprised Gon didn't already know who he was, most people know who the Zoldycks are, even by first name. And then his appearance, most people would have recognized him, this might be where Gon finds out who and what he does..
"How are you so fast?!" Gon asked. "Well... lots of.. um.. practice really.." Killua answered with caution. If Gon knew who Killua's family was, who Killua was, he might want to leave him. He'd only known Gon for 2 days, but he really didn't want him to leave. Gon was his first real friend, and if Killua had to face his emotions and be honest, he was more than a friend..
"I practice a lot too.. but I guess you must practice more, that's cool!" Gon sat down, and Killua watched as Gon pulled out his lunchbox, Killua sat down too. "Killua, where's your lunch? Did you forget again??" Gon asked curiously. He sat there, wondering if he should just tell the truth. It might help Gon find out more who he was, but then again, he did feel a little guilty hiding things, and it was just lunch after all.
"Huh- well... yesterday I didn't actually forget it..." "So I gave you that sushi for nothing?!" Gon asked, he didn't seem upset, but more just like he was joking. "Well, me and my family... we don't really do lunch."
Killua watched Gon closely, hoping his reaction wouldn't be too bad. "That's strange. Why?" Because we're supposed to be able to endure torture, being hungry and frequently going a long time without food helps us with that.. his mind answered. "I've never really asked." Killua lied.
They sat there for a while in silence, Gon ate his lunch while Killua pretended to read the book they were given for ELA class. Killua looked over his book, staring at Gon. The way he eats is so cute..
Killua shook his head vigorously, his hair flying around. What are you thinking, Killua!? Even if he did like you back, it would be impossible for you two to be together! Stop just putting him in more danger! Killua scolded himself with his thoughts, and Gon looked up at him, "You okay?"
Luckily, this time, the bell rang. "We should get to class." Killua said with haste. Gon happily agreed, not seeming to see anything wrong as he packed up his lunch and they walked inside.
I think I did this well, I'm not sure I had to constantly switch back and forth between this and class so there might be more mistakes/errors/laziness this chapter, so I apologize for that. Next chapter probably really soon since I'm still planning on finishing all my schoolwork super fast to work on this a lot. Thanks for even reading this in the first place
:)
