Macy left bonnie as her boredom got the best of her.

She obviously did not come from mystic falls so after elena and Caroline made their appearance she made a dash for it to find something more entertaining.

She walked into the mystic grill, and then up to the bar ordering a drink for herself.

"Bourbon. Neat" she whispered to the bar tender, kissing him on the cheek. He was around Macy's age, so wrapping him around her finger was easy.

Her drink came and she took a couple of sips enjoying the burning sensation lingering in her mouth.

"How come you can get a drink here and when I try to bribe my friend I can never get one." The young Gilbert asked the raven girl

She turned to find Jeremy, with a coke.

"Ah, it's all about the flirting young Gilbert" Macy said raising her glass and downing it, suddenly getting a refill from the guy she kissed.

Jeremy rolled his eyes

"I'm about to have lunch, care to join?" He asked her, hoping for a yes

"I guess I haven't got anything better to do."Macy shrugged her shoulders and followed Jeremy to a booth.

They sat and talked for what seemed like hours about school and work and family but it was only 30 minuets, Jeremy's food came and he ate it straight away. It distracted them both from the outside for a while, they enjoyed the company.

"Jer I don't believe I can fix this, I lied and I was wrong." Macy and Jeremy was pulled out of the conversation by the now not so looking Katherine, elena. "But your my brother and I love you, and I have to fix it "

"Hello to you too." Macy said finishing off her second drink

She didn't realise that elena was just talking to Damon which was behind her listen to the conversation.

'Typical' she thought

"So just tell me what can I do?" Elena asked

"Go to hell elena." Jeremy said angrily and then stormed out of the grill

Macy gave elena an apologetic look but got up and chased after Jeremy. But to be stopped by Damon.

"Don't want to say thanks for saving your life then ." Damon gave the girl a questionable look, losing go of her arm

"Get over yourself ."Macy said following Jeremy into the crowds

"Jer, jer." Macy followed the boy and he stopped for a second so she could catch up. Damon also following them.

Jeremy rolled his eyes and kept walking after seeing Damon hot on Macy tail

"I have so many emotions but I don't have any way to express them being a teenager is so hard." Damon said mockingly as he followed Jeremy and Macy.

"Stop being a dick." Macy said as Jeremy said "you dick"

"You do not talk to me like that I'm not you sister Jeremy, and from now on you don't talk to your sister that way either." Damon forcefully grabbed Jeremy wrist making him jerk back to come face to face with the blue eyed vampire

"Damon let him go." Macy said put her hand on his wrist

"You going to kill me just because I hurt Elena's feelings" Jeremy asked

"Cut her some slack." Damon responded

"She erased my memories." Jeremy said

"No I did, she was protecting you ."

"Guys your acting like your three, just leave each other be." Macy said to the two as Damon let Jeremy's hand go, And herself leaving Damon's touch

"It was not her call to make." Jeremy went to turn but Damon roughly grabbed his arm again, pulling him back

"God alive Damon seriously, stop being an asshole." Macy said from behind Jeremy

"You'd be unconscious before you got a word out." Damon threatened

"And you'd be at the bottom of Elena's good books not to mention bleeding out of your right abdomen." Macy eyes darted to Damon's as He slowly let Jeremy go

"You alright"

Stefan made his appearance, making sure Jeremy was fine.

Macy walked over and stood by Stefan, not paying attention to the whole vicki talk until Jeremy stormed off again

"What is it with the salvatores and young Gilbert." Macy whispered under her breath, going to follow Jeremy But was stopped again by the hand from Damon to her arm.

"Leave him." Damon said eyes stared at hers

"Good cop bad cop." Damon hand let go of Macy arm

"I like it."

"What are you doing Damon?" Stefan asked staring between Macy and His brother

"He was being a punk." Damon emphasised

"Elena's relationship between her and Jeremy is none of your business."Macy joined in  agreeing with Stefan.

"Stay out of it." Stefan finished

"I'm sorry that I'm not a do-gooder." Damon said smirking

"Get over yourself, we all know that your not doing this for the right reason." Stefan replied

They all know it was just for Elena

Damon didn't utter a word making Stefan storm off

"What with you and pissing people off?" Macy asked Damon

"Hero hair Stefan strikes again." Damon rolled his eyes

"Well maybe if you stopped being a asshole, hero hair Stefan wouldn't have to stop you from killing people." Macy replied

"Coming from the person who threatened to kill me once again." Damon said smirking at the girl

"Oh you heard that, sorry my bad." Macy said giving Damon a wink and walking off

Later that day

Macy took it upon herself to make new friends in the town, being a sarcastic bitch it didn't make it all easy. But was creating light conversation until she was stopped by Damon once again.

"Hello girls I'm stealing Macy for a moment." Damon said sending a smile to the girls that Macy just met and then placing a hand on her lower back pushing her away from the group.

"What's happening?"Macy asked Damon stopping dead refusing to go anymore.

Damon refrained from telling the hunter on what was happening, afraid that she was going to get hurt if she helped.

Damon knew it was an usual feeling for him, one that he really only feels for Elena, but he has a random urge to keep Macy safe.

"Just keep walking." Damon tried to push the girl forward without pushing her down but Macy wouldn't move.

"Damon tell me."Macy said.

Damon took his hand in hers and pulled her along with him, to Stefan and elena, who was walking the park.

Making them stop Stefan and Elena stared at the two.

"25words, tomb vampires are here founding families are the target, get elena out of here now. Take Macy and don't let her out of you sight." Damon dropped Macy's hand and rushed off into one direction

"Where are you going"

"That's more than 25 words Stefan." Damon said as Macy tried to follow But was caught at the wrist by stefan.

"He's right, you shouldn't fight." Stefan said as Macy tried to get free from his grip but it only tightened.

"Stefan seriously I'm the one with the stake and the magical powers that can take half of them down." Macy said as Elena gave her an apologetic look

"Damon's right Macy." Elena said as Macey again tried to get free, but it didn't work.

"First time in forever"

"We have to find Jeremy guys!" elena said, coming to realisation about her brother.

Stefan pulled Macy along as elena followed.

By the time the fireworks started they were out of the crowd until a high pitch noise filled Stefan's ear sending him down to the ground, Macy went down with him because of the grip that he had on her.

"Ahhhh make it stop." Stefan shouted hands going to his head.

Macy got up off the floor and tried to help stefan up, she got his arm around her shoulder and then she saw Alaric run to the three of them.

Elena continued to panic as she followed Macy and Alaric into a set of steps where they placed Stefan on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Elena asked Stefan as Alaric and Macy went to look what was going on.

Alaric turned to Macy and said "stay here, watch Stefan and Elena"

"It's like needles were piercing my skull and then it just stopped" Stefan said "like i was being killed over and over and over again."

"I saw at least 5 vampires go down, they were taking them to the Gilbert's old building" Alaric said as he approached the group

"It's the Gilbert device, it has to be." Stefan said  looking at Macy to check if she was hurt, she smiled a small smile and put her hand on top of his and they both squeezed

Elena new this was a friend thing, and was kinda happy that Macy made her way into there lives

"How did he get it to work?" Elena asked "bonnie un spelled it."

"Maybe she didn't." Stefan said

"But we saw her do it." Elena shook her head

"No, no, no Stefan is right think about it, we asked bonnie to deactivate a device that could protect people against vampires." Macy said glancing at elena

"But we done it for Stefan." Elena said

"And Damon. Vampires." Stefan said

Then this made Macy think the worst.

"Where is Damon?" Macy asked Alaric

"I don't know, I haven't seen him since this started." Alaric said to the raven

"Can you get my brother take him home, Macy I think you should go with." Elena said

"Of course." Alaric said

"Elena, I'll do better out there than you, if anything your the one that should go." Macy said as elena acted shocked.

Alaric ran ahead and Stefan lead the two girls to the square.

"Wait, wait, wait I can hear them." Stefan said

Macy and Elena stopped looking around

"The building is on fire." Stefan said running in the direction of the building but stopping at a man the Macy doesn't know

"Oh Damon." Macy whispered deciding not to follow stefan and try to find the burning building herself. To her luck she could see the black smoke and decided to run that way to find bonnie already at the scene

"Bonnie what did you do." Macy said

She shook her head

"You can't go in there." Bonnie said as Stefan ran around the corner

"Watch me bennet."Macy said entering the building immediately regretting it as the smoke filled her lungs.

She made her way to the door with smoke and watched it carefully.

Stefan then made his way in

"Macy you need to get out of here." He said staring at the door going for the Handle but getting burnt.

"Oh get over yourself." Macy touched the Handle and opened the door with a scream

"Ahhhh." She stared down at her hand which was bleeding in a huge burn mark, it was not heeling, which meant the vampire blood left her body.

" you won't survive,Macy seriously you need to leave before I make you." Stefan said staring at the flames grabbing her upper arm and pushing her towards the entrance of the building

Macy didn't leave the entrance until she really couldn't breath anymore because of the smoke, as soon as she got out she heard coughing behind her and lept at the salvatores Like elena did.

They both coughed but was fine because they are vampires, Macy on the other hand, was not doing so well, her flesh was burning and her lungs filled with smoke

Damon watched her and took her hand in his own

"Your so stupid, what was you thinking." He said watching the burn.

The girl suddenly started to feel light headed, putting her hand on Damon's shoulder for support, the one she didn't hurt.

"Returning the favour so I weren't in your debt." She said. Damon smirked until he saw her slowly slipping away, she had lost balance going down but Damon caught her picking her up bridal style,

"Upsy daisy."
