It's Gone!

Doctor's POV

We made it back to the apartment without a problem. Kat was rather quiet, the way she got when she felt she did something stupid, but just when we were getting out of the van she spoke. "They're back. How did they get back before us?"

I looked at the direction her finger was pointing and saw the truck was back. Ella sprinted up to the apartment and went inside, Stella following. Amy started after them, but Kat said, "Don't bother. They know what they're doing, at least Ella is. Stella... well, I won't get started on her."

Amy shivered. "It's cold."

Kat shrugged.

A few minutes later, Ella burst out, face bright red. "It-it's gone!" she gasped. She wiped her face on her sleeve, although why she was crying, I had no idea. "The TARDIS- it's not there! Gone! I swear!"

Stella ran to catch up with her sister. "I don't think they could've gone far with it. They don't have the key, and I reckon they'd be lugging it down stairs. She would've used it to fly away, since dawn is approaching, but I didn't see her on the stairs or in the elevator, so I have no clue where it could've gone."

"Do you think we could find it?" Kat's nose was bright red, and I could here worry in her voice.

"I'll try," I said and unlocked my TARDIS.

"You'll try. Doctor, for once, will you stop trying and actually doing?" Kat cried, but the door shut on her voice. I pulled the screen towards my face and muttered, "But where's the TARDIS? Where?"

The door creaked open, and I heard Kat's footsteps. She leaned on the console. "It's changed. I liked the old model better, though."

I ignored her and continued to search for the alien war ambulance.

She looked around the room, marveling at the size. "It's bigger on the inside!" she exclaimed.

No, don't think about that, you'll only make it worse, Doctor, focus on trying to find the stolen TARDIS!

But I couldn't. I remember that one day, as clear as it was yesterday. Just because of this one visit, so many things are coming together. I understood stuff I didn't before this day...

Before this day.

She looked at the TARDIS, mouth gaping open, all scratched up, and the first things out of her mouth was, "What. The. Hell."

The man next to her looked equally confused, but I ignored him.

I understood that memory now. For the most part. I searched the screen with my finger, and when I found it, I said, "Bingo."

"You found it?" Kat asked excitedly, peering over my shoulder. I nodded and pulled down a lever.

Kat's POV

I had never forgotten the way the TARDIS traveled, with her noise and unstability. None of that had changed.

"Some things never change, do they?" I commented. He ignored me. I leaned on the console. I could tell there was something off about the TARDIS; it was like she knew something about me that I didn't, and she didn't like it. No, she hated it. "Where are we going?" I asked the Doctor.

"Pluto," the Doctor said. I made a face. Why, out of all planets, did they go for the one named after a dog? Really!

We landed and the Doctor threw open the door. "I extended the oxygen so that we could breathe," he explained.

I nodded. I could see the other TARDIS in the distance. I started to run forward, but the Doctor said, "Wait."

I nodded. I could see the blix in the distance. If they saw us...

Well, it's not hard to miss the TARDIS on Pluto. In other words, they saw us. Karen ran towards us, and I knew it wasn't a good thing. She came closer and hissed, "Well, well, well. Seems like Kat and the Doctor are here to save the day, isn't it?" She bared her teeth and lunged at me.

I would've been prey if the Doctor hadn't pulled me away in time. Karen fell forward and hit her face on the ground. I took this time to my advantage. I sprinted towards the other TARDIS and threw open the door. I climbed down and received a phone call from the Doctor. "I'm calling you from my TARDIS. I'm going to pull your TARDIS with mine, okay?"

"Yep," I nodded.

"You might want to hold on," he advised, and hung up. I felt a shudder, then nearly lost my balance had I not grabbed the ladder. We were in flight again, stranding Karen on her own. I hoped there was a limit on the distance she could go to control someone.
