Chapter 8
*Saturday Morning*
Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. Ugh, I finally pick up my annoying phone. Who could be calling me at this hour? I look at the clock and I am surprised to see that it's 11:00 a.m. Wow. "Hello," I say, very irritated. "Well, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." says a too hyper Wyatt. "Bye," I say as I hang up on him. And lord behold, my phone rings AGAIN. Doesn't he get it? I pick up my phone, "What do you want?" "I have very exciting news," says Wyatt. "Get to the point already." I basically yelled into the phone. "I HAVE A DATE!" says Wyatt like a 5-year-old on a sugar high. "That's great. Who's the lucky girl?" I asked, most of my irritation gone now. "Actually, that's part of what I wanted to tell you. The lucky girl is a boy. Surprise?" says Wyatt kinda nervously. I open my mouth in shock, then register what he just told me. "Oh my god, you're gay," I say surprised. "Yeah, I'd understand if you didn't want to be my friend anymore or all that stuff," says Wyatt really sadly. "Are you kidding me, Wyatt? That was the stupidest thing you could have said. I was just surprised. I guess it all makes sense now. You've never had a girlfriend and you don't really take notice of all the girls that drool over you." I say nodding my head even though he can't see me. "Yeah, well anyway. Do you want to know his name?" Wyat asked me, even though I'm pretty sure he was gonna tell me even if I said no. "Yeah, sure," I said. "So, his name is Tyler and let me tell you. Woahhhhhh. I mean like wow-" I cut him off, "I get it, Wyatt. How did you guys meet?" "So, yesterday, I went into a gas station, cause you know I love my cinnamon rolls-" I interrupt. "Cow," I mumble. "Oh, what was that. Oh yeah, you said that Wyatt is so fit and could be a model if he wanted to." I laughed at that. "Yep. Anywaysssss, I saw this guy paying for a Sprite, but he accidentally left his wallet, and so I paid for it. After I paid for my stuff, he asked me to follow him to his car. When we got there, he told me his name, gave me his number and he paid me back. Our date is tomorrow." said Wyatt, almost out of breath. "Awwww, my little Wyatt is all grown up," I say, annoying him. "Ha. Ha," says Wyatt, which just makes me laugh. "I just wanted to know if it was alright with you if I went. I know that you've been through-" I stop him. "You have no need to worry about me. Also, I want all the details about the date. Where are you going again?" I ask curiously. "Oh yeah, Idk. I texted him and he said that it was a surprise. A good one I hope." says Wyatt. "Well, I need to get back to my beauty sleep, so peace," I say, about to hang up. "You sure need it don't yo-" I hang up. Sleep sweet sleep was my last thought as I doze off.
